This is a crazy busy place, but the meats are fantastic and so are the prices. We don't go often enough, but we'll be back. The staff are super friendly and very helpful.

My wife and I have been coming here for years. It's always absolutely perfect. The meat, the staff, the prices, the whole experience is perfect. Just when I thought it couldn't get any better, I purchased the prime rib sausages. So now this place is better than perfect!

Great butchers, friendly service and the cost is comparable to what you would spend at the supermarket but much much higher quality. They also have a great range of prepared meats (stuffed joins or tenderloins, marinated chops etc.) that are wonderfully put together and means creating something special for dinner is a breeze.

The best butcher shop around. It's a hidden gem here that all us locals know.

Amazing service, great selection, and the best prices around.

This Italian butcher shop has great sausages, but the reason I like the place is because they have Pancetta bacon in little blocks.

Absolutely fell in love with cured meats in this store, this is so close to my homeland cuisine. I'm a regular customer now.

This place is amazing for fresh meat! The prices are so affordable and their cured salamis are to die for. Highly recommend. The staff and service are top notch

The product is fine here but the service is poor. Upon making a few hundred dollar order for meat they wouldn’t even dignify me with a response to the part of my emailed questions about pricing. I get that maybe some questions don’t have answers but it’s low to straight up ignore people over multiple emails. They did receive my messages.

The order I received was packed poorly. Two packages had come open and I had blood and meat chunks throughout my bag when I got home – a thorough mess. Change appeared to be missing but they didn’t provide a receipt to verify with.

Calling other times with unrelated questions they don’t answer their phone. If you want to make any enquiries then the best way seems to be to travel to the shop and take a number then ask the guy behind the counter, maybe.

There’s better butchers in the area.

It's the best! We drive from the Fraser Valley area for their meat. I remember going to this butcher with my father when I little. They were on Renfrew and 1st back then. I reccomend ordering in advance as these guy are hollywood now and there is always a lineup lol, but totally worth it!

I love that this place is so close to where I live, and that's one of the main reasons I go there. The prices and selection are also very good. Service though is hit and miss; some of the old guys give the sense that they don't like their job or feel inconvenienced to answer questions from customers (multiple times this happened to me from 2 of the guys). Now I just wait to be served by a couple of the much friendlier young guys.

But most disconcerting is the fact that there is a "masks are mandatory" sign on the front door (which I fully support, since at the time of this review, it is a Provincial mandatory rule, and one I completely agree with), however many of the staff have their masks around their chins (mouth and nose exposed), so what's the point of that? It's hypocritical to tell your customers to wear them (which they should) and not wear them yourselves.

I will say though that one of the owners Eugene was sincere in his response to my comments when I phoned the store about these issues and I do feel he takes it serious that they want to provide a cheerful and safe environment for their customers. I'll give them another chance and see if things improve, as I would like for this to still be my go-to butcher.

What can I say, it doesn't matter what you buy they provide the best products plus the service is extremely good. Go early as they have Line ups and I believe they sell out of products frequently.

This is my favourite store in Vancouver. The products are fantastic, the pricing is good, and the people are pros. I highly recommend Columbus for all your meaty needs (and they make great lasagna too).

Lots of variety - veal, beef, pork, and chicken. Some pre-marinaded and breaded cuts. All good quality and great prices. Will definitely be coming over and over.

Once go to columbus meats you will never ever buy meat from anywhere else. This is the best place?

This is my go to stop when I need good meat for the grill. Some of our go-tos have to be the maui ribs, the great assortment of Italian sausages and the veal. Couldn’t ask for better quality or better service. Only thing is I wish they stayed open longer

Wonderful selections and great prices! The cut of meats are all high quality! It is a fast moving place so best to have your list prepared! We got the most incredible Wild Boar Sausages…amongst other delicious things. Will be back soon!

If you've never been here before you will be bombarded by their mass selection of quality meats. Quick, fast, efficient and friend staff.

Product is budget friendly and has such a good quality. However, some of the employees do not wear mask properly. I visited at around 3: 30pm in March 31st. If you guys keep wearing the masks on your chin, i will leave the store without purchasing anything.

I've yet to find a better place to buy meat in Vancouver. Any time I bring Columbus meats to a BBQ every single person will ask me where I got the meat. It's just that good.

I found a staple in the wild boar sausage. A staple. I bit it and pulled it out of my mouth.

Honestly, this could happen anywhere to be fair - so I reached out using the form on their website over a week ago and received no response. So they get a one star review for that if nothing else.

Check the quality control for this please. I won’t be buying anymore personally, but would hate for it to happen to someone else.

I went to Columbus for the first time last weekend. I decided to grill one of the steaks in my order tonight. I will never go to a supermarket for meat ever again. The steak was flavourful, juicy, and tender. The best part is that everything I bought was reasonably priced.

As well, great customer service and friendly staff. A must go to place for all the carnivours out there.

The service was fast, safe, and friendly. Very welcoming. Especially during these uncertain times. The greeter was very personable. I believe his name was Joe. Nice guy.

This is the best butcher shop I've been to in Canada, to this point. I do a lot of cooking, and I understand the importance of good quality ingredients. Particularly the protein in your work of art. Thus, I have spent a lot of time and energy looking for good butchers to supply me with excellent cuts and good variety (while still being affordable for a moderate income family). I have, of course, found some really good butchers in the Lower Mainland and Fraser Valley (Queens Meats in New West was my favourite before I found these guys). But Columbus Meat Market beats them all, hands down. This market even rivals many of the butchers I found in Europe, and that is really saying something. I'm sure the Italian traditions that have been instilled in this business have a lot to do with that. It's the only butcher I've been to on this side of the water that makes me feel like I'm actually shopping in Italy.

Excellent selection and variety, amazing quality, great/speedy/knowledgeable/no nonsense service, a nice big clean establishment, and totally ridiculously reasonable prices (we bought enough meat for like 15 meals for the two of us, and it was only 110 bucks. And we had some higher priced cuts in the mix too). They even make their own salami and sausages, supply gourmet quality ready to prepare feasts (like stuffed roasts, breaded/stuffed cutlets, pre marinated meats, etc.), and they will make any custom cut you might want with second to none knowledge and skill.

SERIOUSLY. GO TO THIS MEAT MARKET. It will instantly become your go to butcher, like it has for us. And we live in Harrison (but are totally willing to make a run in to Vancouver every couple of weeks to stock up). We are so stoked to have found these guys. Way to go. Keep up the good work! Convinced my roommate early into the lockdown that this place was essential. Now weekly we make the trip. Sausages are fantastic as well as everything else, especially at this price point! Columbus is an institution for a very good reason.

Best place in Vancouver to get all your meats. So many different varieties of marinated and cooked products as well. No need to shop anywhere else.

A very busy butcher shop, for good reason. Wonderful array of products, excellent service, good prices. If you arrive by car and can't find parking, just drive around the block. By that time, another delighted customer will be leaving, opening a spot for you. Believe me when I say it's worth it!

Great meat market! It’s a busy place but lots of staff. Seems like it’s run like a family business, which is nice.
Meat is fresh, nicely presented and very reasonable prices. For example, grilling beef steaks are $5/each. Chicken legs are $0.99 per pound.

Best meat market in town. Vancouver should have more shops like this one. I would be great if the open hours were extended in the afternoon as it's hard to find time during the week to do groceries here with normal office hours.

BTW, they have good prices, for some cuts even better than Costco and the quality is light years ahead of most supermarket meet.

Get in early, the place gets packed in the afternoon. Great selection, great prices. Old school butchers doing a fantastic job and catering to every customer need.
