I twice attempted to go during advertised hours visiting your lovely city but not open well into posted times.this time i walked from metropolis comics kingsway.needless to say, i wasnt impressed.lost this customer for life

The guy working there was really rude and the place is a mess, don’t go because you will be wasting your time

This is probably the worst comic book store in Vancouver. The place smells of weed and cigs and the guy sitting in the shop doesn't want to help and is uninterested about the shop.i mean, if the cramped space gives you stress, then clean up!

Lot of funkos and good price but the guy who works there is extremely rude, he was acting like get of my store, idk he is the owner or not but bad service

My sisters and I went here in search of pop figures. Store owner was extremely nice and fair prices! We will be coming here regularly

Recently started collecting comics, I've been to almost all the comic stores across the lower mainland and not once have I been treated so poorly. I see a lot of people complaining about the hours, whilst I haven't personally experienced this, the owner was extremely rude to me. There is a lot of cool stuff there but you're honestly better off going somewhere else.

Very very very VERY shrewd. Last time I was there, I asked for a comic.they quoted me a price that I think was forward-looking top dollar price x exchange rate. The store was swimming in merchandise too. I was like, ugh.make a transaction, make a sale, make a customer, make some room.lol I would go there just for the INTERESTING experience. Vancouver is like this in general for this type of merchandise.

Hours need to be updated. Visited just after 1 pm today, Tuesday, and it’s closed. Hours sign on the door seems to deliberately have the opening time for Monday to Friday scratched out. I posted a pic showing this.

What an odd shop. I’ve tried going multiple times over the last 6 months and have always found them to be closed during their posted hours. I finally happened to catch them while they were open recently - I walked in, the gentleman working (who I couldn’t see) asked what I was looking for, so I politely said I was just browsing and hadn’t been there before. I was very abruptly/angrily informed that “We don’t have anything here for you to browse, you need to tell me what you want. ”
I felt really uncomfortable that someone would be so immediately hostile, so I just said thank you and left. Months of trying to shop and in & out within 1 minute.
I have never had this experience before, someone so irate that there was a customer trying to spend money in their business…Maybe I caught him on a bad day, but I don’t think I’ll be returning unfortunately.

Just went there today for first time what a great store. If your looking for a funko pop or any kind of cool collectable this is the place to go. The guy who runs it is very cool too:)

Store is a bit cramped, but a great selection of Pop figures and other action figures, particularly older/hard to find items.

Other reviews have mentioned the shop is never open, but it's been open the couple times I visited, so your mileage may vary.

The store has a good selection of hard to find funko pops, that being said the store is never open. I've been to this store 6 times and it has only been open twice.its a huge waste of time and now i make sure to call and if he doesn't pick up i give my business to someone else, which i did the 4 other times in turn losing him around $400.

Wanted to check the place out but it wasn't open. From the other reviews, this is a regular problem. It's 4: 30 pm on a Friday, it should be open.

Closed majority of the time, its a hit and miss thing. Recommend calling in to check if open before heading down

One of the last great hole in the wall comic shops. The owner is super friendly and talkative. Only downside is he doesnt stick to the posted hours. I've been there 3 hours after the posted opening time and the store was dark. Conversely, I've driven by at midnight and the door was still open so I think he stays late when he doesnt open on time. Overall great place with some hard to find action figures. If I'm ever having trouble finding something, I can usually pick it up here. Prices are a little steep in some cases but I dont mind helping the guy make ends meet as I'd hate to see them close up shop.

What an awesome experience! I spent several days in Vancouver hunting for toys and this store was by far the best one I came across. Toy Traders is very impressive but Comic Land had a warmer reception; the owner was very helpful, friendly and knowledgeable about the action figures. Highly recommended if you're into action figures collectibles.

This place is pretty awesome. There is a retro street fighter arcade machine that brings me back. There is so much selection, and this would be an automatic 5 stars for me if it weren't for one thing: I showed up one day within business hours, and it was closed.

What a blast from the past. I haven't been here for almost 30 years. I was in the neighborhood, and the store 30 years ago was just comics but very open and bright.

Now, it's comics, toys, collectibles, t-shirts, and books. It's stack high with everything. No longer bright, but dark. I know if I need something retro, this would be the place that may have it!

Stopped by the place at about 2PM on a Tuesday. The guy wasn't in, but his door was unlocked and the open sign was flashing. When I tried to open the door, the alarm went off on me so I left. Phoned the place at least 10 times within a few days to see if they would be open (didn't want to have to drive all the way there for him to be gone again) until he finally picked up the phone. I stopped by again and he was super friendly and knowledgable about the Funko Pops I was looking for. It's not the most organized store ever, but he has so much selection and I will definitely be visiting again! Hands down the best comic store I've ever been to! Only took two stars off because it seems like he's not in very often. Just make sure to call before you visit to see if they're open.

Wasn’t open when the sign says it would be open. I wasted time and gas to drive here. This is not the way to run a business.

Amazing store with an amazing selection of stuff! Definitely going to be returning in the future and recommending to all my friends!

If you are looking for a Funko Pop this is the correct store for you! Also the owner is very friedly.

** update. I've now tried 5 times to return to the store and it is always closed. Every time I call, it goes to voicemail. I have no clue how this dude stays in business when he never opens his store. He's lost so much money from me, that I ended up spending a big Pete's collectibles. He must be independently wealthy to never open his store. Regardless, I've had enough and will never return, and will never call, it's absolutely ridiculous that this business is never open. **

Great store, had a fun chat with the owner. Cluttered but tons of cool stuff if you take some extra time to explore. Went to the store today to buy a few items, door locked, lights out, at 2pm during business hours. Taking one star off for loss of time and gas. From now on I'll call before I make the journey to Comic Land.
