On 18 August 2023 I went in for digital fingerprinting for Canadian RCMP "Certified" criminal record checks.

I had made an appointment for Desk 2 but when I got there I was told it didn't matter which desk I went to.

The office seems to still be set up for COVID-19 protocols.

The clerk checked my two pieces of government issued ID.

The first attempt to get a digital fingerprint didn't work and I had to put some lotion on my hands so my fingerprints would scan.

Once my fingerprints were taken, I was asked to check my personal information which was displayed on a laptop about four feet away. I could read the information but asked the clerk to read it out to me to make sure.

I paid the fee of $84.85 and was told the criminal record check would reach me in two to three weeks, but it arrived today, 10 days later.

The lady we dealt with does not seem to have a clue what she is doing there or what her role might be!

Got my digital fingerprints done for Citizenship here. They know what they're doing. Booked same day, also let them know I was late, went in and out, finished no problem. Efficient, affordable.

Hi
I am just concerned about one of your Security guard working in Service Canada in Abbotsford.
His name is Tanvir Mirza. He is very rude to the people standing outside in line for several hours and making his own assumptions while guiding people. He seems he work for Service Canada, telling people that “don’t be in line, you are wasting your time”. Making comments on people’s documents. I don’t know if he got hired because he is able to speak Punjabi, Hindi and Urdu but he is talking to them just in English which old people don’t understand. I think he shouldn’t be there the way he is treating people. He should know that he is employee of security company not Service Canada. I hope you will remove him from this site. I am sending email to Service Canada as well about his behaviour. Thanks

This is my first time visiting Commissionaires - Vancouver for fingerprints. Booking online is seamless and instructions such as when to show up is clear. The fee for digital fingerprints here is cheaper than that in Vancouver Police Department (VPD). Everything is black and white. The only thing I wish is slightly better customer service with a genuineness.

The young lady wrote my citizenship as Russia in the fingerprint card despite me handing my passport (which is NOT a Russian passport) to her. When I confronted her that she made a mistake, she claimed that my passport is Russian which is clearly not. After seeing her mistake, she did not apologize for her error and was arrogant. Good thing I noticed and read over the document several times to ensure that everything is correct.

I think she assumed I was Russian due to my Slavic looks and accent. Unacceptable.

Very Positive experience! They were able to take my wife and I even though only I had an appointment! Saved us a trip! Maria (sp?) was very thorough with the fingerprinting and very patient with us during the process! Everyone was professional at this office! I usually don’t write reviews, but the service we received really warranted one!

I walked in here 22 Jan 2020 to get my finger print done and asked for a specific stamp on it (after talking to officials in my home country and they said I need to have this stamp on my papers) The guy working there made me sure that they have that stamp and they will put it on my fingerprint papers.
When the guy was putting the papers in the envelope I realized he never used the stamp I asked for and I paid them 57.75$ (I should have refused to pay, I blame myself for that).

I wrote a review a while after I redid and repaid RCMP on Cambie street for the very same service (which had the stamp I was required to have) and it seems that they are willing to give that 57.75$ back to me. I deleted my old review and decided to write a new review.

I am going to call them and see if they accept their mistake and will reimburse me for the money I paid them and then I will update my review again.

The employee stationed at University Village at UBC on University Boulevard on October 31st 2018 at 11: 45am was incredibly unprofessional and hostile. He failed to introduce himself and skipped right to using harrassment, bullying and intimidation techniques. He did not greet us with a hello or inform us of what we had done wrong he immediately jumped right to saying he had emailed his employer about us and that if we didnt move our vehicles he would have them moved for us (implying towed). We were unaware that we were not permitted to park in the area we did (as we had always parked there anytime we went to the village). He then proceeded to follow us outside and repeatedly take pictures of our vehicles and faces. He would not provide me with his name or employee ID number when requested. I have never felt so disrespected in my place of work. I am an employee for the university and having a 3rd party company harass me to that extent I feel is completely unwarranted. This should be investigated and followed up on immediately. Your employee should not be allowed to conduct himself in this fashion and should be required to go through proper training and relocated from his current station.

Find another service if you are looking for a CRC or eCPIC. I used the online application, which says results take 24 to 48 hours. After 48 with no results, I called the Vancouver office and was told "Ottawa handles that, sorry, maybe check back in several days. " I said I didn't think that would work as I needed the eCPIC for a regulatory application. The employee laughed!

A follow up call said the supervisor would be in touch. That didn't happen.

It felt clear to me that they genuinely do not care about my concern.
