Overall the work done to my floathome was good. I wasn’t expecting to have to do floats, but after pulling my house out of the water it was pretty clear it couldn’t go back in without a lot of work.
It started with a miscalculation of weight by the lift operator from Shelter Island. Due to that the initial set of floats weren’t enough to properly float my house. Unfortunately it took several tries to get it floating level after, which meant a lot more money.
Work quality - excellent, they know what they’re doing when it comes to welding.
Communication - was good, but I had to do a lot of follow ups. I will acknowledge they are busy, which shows they do good work.
Quotes - I understand things change, but some of the quotes were quite a bit off.
Again overall they treated me well, did quality work but there were minor issues to which I can’t give them a 5 star review.
However, I would have work done by them again and would send people I know to them.
