Congee Noodle King

Had the beef brisket on rice, if you like chili sauce I highly recommend their’s, It’s got great aroma and heat…absolutely delicious flavour profile for all their food, really good chef… service is good but when they’re busy things can be a bit but they do try their best, so I’m ok with that. Nonetheless prices are fair for very legit Cantonese cookery, I’m hoping they will bring back the afternoon tea menu back and the late night. The Covid pandemic has really changed things everywhere.

My go to place when I Crave Chinese food, I usually order for take out but every once on a while I dine in with the family. Service can be a little slow when they're busy but the food comes out quickly. The prices are affordable when I order 2 dishes I pay less than $40.

A phenomenal Hong Kong place with a very wide selection to choose from on their menu! It's got a very good price, as we spent $70 after tips on 4 meals! I highly recommend their beef brisket soup with noodle:)

I've gone here since I was little and the experience has always been maintained. Same robust flavours, same bustling atmosphere (besides the new big screen TV), same fast service, same everything. The congee, combined with the salted donuts
at Congee Noodle King is hands down the best congee in the lower mainland. The shredded pork is the most flavourful I've ever had as well. My only concern is that the preserved eggs get a little less pungent throughout the day. Besides that, highly recommend.

The congee was very good (shredded pork and preserved egg), the other dishes were average. And sadly the daily soup was barely warm.

Food is very good, not only the congee but the other items I've ordered such as pan fried meats and veggies. The prices are great. Staff seems overall to be running tight since they are so busy, so one can get the feeling of being pressured, plus English wasn't the first language of neither them nor me. The restaurant has an old restaurant cozy feel as opposed to a modern, clean or fancy look, but that's not an issue for me, goes well with the atmosphere of a family restaurant to go and enjoy a good family meal. Ordering take out is also easy.

Be aware the only accept cash or debit card

No nonsense Chinese restaurant. Specializing in congee and noodle soup, will offer the full typical Chinese dishes you'd expect. Food's tasty and priced fairly, but atmosphere is lacking. Volume restaurant and it's busy.

One word - consistency! Every time I come here to satisfy my Chinese food cravings, they always deliver a great and flavourful meal. The congee is fantastic, the special fried rice is a go-to, the spicy fried silver fish or squid is another favourite, and last but not least, their buddha feast with tofu is top notch! The portions are big and great value for money. The servers are always in a hurry and aren't the most polite but they get the job done. The only negative comment I have is that they only accept cash, but sometimes they do allow you to pay by debit card.

Wheelchair accessible. Bus 19,41,26, SkyTrain stops near by. Again, we recommend but we cannot go as often as before because of the cost. I would respectfully recommend to please change the videos in the big tv. How about landscapes from different countries instead of just dancing people. Thank you.

Congee Noodle King is one of the very first restaurants I've tried when I visited Vancouver for the first time! I instantly fell in love with their deep fried salt & pepper dishes either bean curd or squid! We also love their Sweet and Sour Pork and their House Special Chow Mein. This restaurant is definitely one of our options for gatherings and special events!

It's really rare these days to find a good solid Chinese restaurant that serves excellent dishes and at reasonable price. They also have the combo dishes and at great value too. Ask about their lobster/crab combo deal. Their noodle and congee and cooked dishes are all so good!

Don't seat people if you are closing in 20 minutes. Other normal restaurants will tell you that they already did last call. Ordered the food then realised they were closing in a couple of minutes but still took the opportunity to squeeze the extra buck out of you. Literally was rushed eating our meal the whole time. The majority of the servers were rude and unresponsive, doing their own stuff instead of providing service. The restaurant is dirty and the food is greasy. Definitely won't be recommending this restaurant, also I regret giving them any tips or business even during this unprecedented time.

The qulaity is worse.
The prices are up. 30%
The food is too oily
The quantities are 50% less.

Great place for late night snack. The price is fair for such good food. A bit disappointed because they don't serve steam rice rolls at midnight.

Cheap hk style Chinese food. At 9: 40 they have "daa-laang" (hk style late night food). This is one of the few Chinese restaurants that sell sweet Chinese donuts in this area. Their food are very authentic, and their service is minimal as should be expected.

Great food, good value, but staff rushed us to finish food. We still had food on the dishes and they were trying to take them away multiple times.
