Fri Jan 12,2024 dropped by for lunch. Their lunch special is one of the BEST DEALS in town! Restaurant and washroom is clean, neat and tidy. Food portions MOST GENEROUS. Their prices ARE EXCELLENT VALUE FOR YOUR MONEY.

Lady server most professional and kind. Male chef cooked food WITH NO MSG, the food tasted great, all ingredients were fresh & good quality and they carefully cooked their food in little oil and you can taste they use good quality oil.

I HIGHLY RECOMMEND THIS SUPER RESTAURANT!

Portions are very generous for the pricing offered for the sets (at the back of the menu). It's a good place to wind down after a long day when you need a filling meal. I suppose lunchtime is alright too, although in my experience it's more comforting and quiet after dark.

Tried to place an order and was told "we are too busy". Then the woman rushed to hang up the phone. Unprofessional customer service. Business will be taken elsewhere

This food was amazing and reasonably priced. I highly recommend the green beans, the spicy fried shrimp and the dumplings.

Good amount of food, tasty and accessible prices. Everything was delicious but the siumai pork dumplings were ok. The dishes arrived fast. I will definitely go back!

My husband and I always order from this place. We recently have been dinning in and can I say the food is some how even better if you dine in! Take out is totally worth it and still delicious. They accomdate for my husbands Gluten Sensitivity and he has had zero issues from them. All the dishes are delish. Best Chinese in Kitsilano. ️

We still got served here around 3: 30 pm despite other chinese restaurants were on their lunch break, we were really hungry and the food was great so that was an amazing experience:)

Adrian Ma is one of the most exquisite chefs of all time. He cooks the best food like steak also steak and even steak. Can't wait to see him tonight.

One of the better Chinese takeout / delivery / small cafes on the West Side. Food is fresh and more on the 'authentic' side. Have had a couple errors on orders so it pays to review your order when picking up.but life happens sometimes.

Search out other choices, was a hour late with our pick up order and quality of food was less then desirable.

Please continue to support your local restaraunts! That being said, the sweet and sour pork here was so dry and soggy that I cannot recommend it. As someone who grew up eating this in HK, very disappointing considering the reviews

5 starts for food, 3 starts for service. Price is great. Take out will make me happier next time.

Came here for dinner and it was so delicious. Everything we ordered was so good. The ladies working here are very friendly too. Definitely coming back here!

Great little gem in kits! No msg in their food. We always get great service and if connies is there she talks to us and everbody eating there, very nice lady. Highly recommend this place and they do a large take out also
Recently went to Connies Nov/6/2021 we like the dry ribs with a little garlic and dry chicken wings.
The restaurant was sold about 6 yrs ago apparently the cook owns the place too bad we miss Connie she was always very friendly
She would walk around and make sure everyone was happy.
The other day when my wife and I arrived the place was freezing!
When our usual server came to ask what we would like I said a hot water bottle and why is it so cold in here?
Oh it is was her reply dugh and the back door of the restaurant is open to the alley near the washrooms which were also freezing.
So the server tried to turn up the electric baseboard heater by our table, I had to point out she was about to turn on the ceiling fan and when I told her she turned on or pretended to turn on the heater cause it never got hot. Bottom line buy the food and take it home unless it's summer.
Oh, also the dry ribs had no garlic on them we miss Connie

First went there with my 2 old friends that treated myself and my son to dinner. I order now at least 3 times a month or more, its good and consistant. I really like the Singapore thin noodle a mix of shrimp and lots of stuff in a slightly spicy noodle. A beef and broccoli and young chow fried rice is so good and filling as well. And the occasional honey garlic pork. A mix of all my favorites lm good for 3 days, tasty! And not bad the prices are fair and good quality food. I don't order elsewhere, ever why bother.

Everything on this menu is delicious! Best food anywhere. I won’t order Chinese food from anywhere else. ️

Can't get through to them after many many calls - want to pre arrange a big order for tomorrow - are they really open for business and just bad at answering the phone? I don't want to go through skip the dishes - would rather pick up myself. Anyone know if they're open?

Did get in touch with Connie's the next day - very limited hours. Ordered food and it was very good.

Didn't offer utensils for pick up. Inconvenienced our picnic as we had to go all the way back to pick up napkins and chopsticks, and then the food was cold. Only offered 1 set of chopsticks, then had to ask for a napkin.

Didn't actually eat here. Used the online ordering tool then after the order went through was given a delivery time of 120 minutes! Tried to call, no answer, voice mailbox full. Continued to try calling for 20 minutes before someone answered the phone so I could cancel the order. Super annoying. Still hungry and no food on the way.

First time ordering from Connie's. Online ordering service was great. Kitchen followed my instructions for my allergy. Big portions. Tasty curry! Friendly delivery. Will order from here again. Cannot wait to try the Singapore Noodles next.

Delicious and authentic cuisine. Their food is super tasty, the portions are great and the pricing is very fair. My favourite dishes are the beef and green beans with black beans sauce and the chicken and vegetables chow mein. We order their take out (with 10% off which is awesome) at least once a month and love it. I 100% recommend this place!

Delicious food and generous portions. One of my favourite spots for takeout in the neighbourhood. They're always friendly, have plenty of vegetarian options, and have often made us dishes off-menu.

I ordered Shang hai noodles, a combo and general tsao. The general Tao was recommended to me but My fam didn’t like it at all, also the Shang hai noodle didn’t taste good, The ginger beef was good. They also use tons of fresh vegetables and their combos are a really good deal. Overall the prices are good and good portions but things like the spring rolls and noodles could be tastier.we didn’t eat 99 percent of the food

They are fast and I love their big potions. It’s always a reliable option when you don’t want to think about ordering food, they have enough selection to choose from. I think the flavours are a bit plain sometimes. I always eat the same dishes so I guess I have to try other options to be fair with my review.

My family tried take out from Connie's based on rave reviews in our community but won't be back.

The dumplings are fine and the wings are pretty decent, however the main dishes we tried (sweet and sour pork, chicken and black bean chow mein and a squid dish) really lacked flavour. The chowmein was drowned in what tasted like store bought sauce, the pork was sweaty and over cooked while the squid varied from disconcertingly soft (undercooked) to rubber and floundered in a flavourless grey sauce.

In all fairness the veggies that came in all the main dishes were cooked pretty well, and the portion sizes are generous.

I can't fathom the popularity of this spot, the food was bland and left my wife and I disappointed.

Mediocre food that took twice as long to deliver as promised (two hours) with no apology and no explanation. Chicken curry was 90% bell pepper, spring rolls and dumplings were really greasy. Tried it for the first time based on the reviews, but won’t be back.

I've been going to this restaurant for years and the food has always been delicious. The staff are incredibly kind and have accommodated for my vegan diet. The hot and sour soup is SO good! And the store itself is very cute and colourful. Love it here.

My #1 pick for Chinese food, and not only because of the name! Really tasty, amazing variety and they're consistent both with their great service and efficiency. They offer great portions and delivery, lately we ordered for our whole family and everyone was happy and impressed. We'll be back!

To clarify, this rating is for the service (or more accurately, the lack of). I stood at the front of the restaurant, in full view of the server who was at the back, completely engrossed with someone in front of her (?).

While I was waiting, I saw what the other patrons were eating and I thought the wait would be worth it. So I continued waiting patiently until after about 2 minutes, my presence was finally acknowledged and I was seated at a table.

5 minutes went by and no one came to take my order. From my observations, this restaurateur was busy meeting the needs of the take-out clients at the detriment of the service experience of the ones seated in her restaurant.

Nope. Not ok.

If you are accepting dine-in, then you need to ensure that you have the resources to deliver good quality food and good service to ALL of your customers.

In the end, I got tired of being neglected and left. I ended-up spending my money at another establishment that had the wherewithal to delivery great food and service.

Friendly service and easy online order and pick up. I had their green beans with minced pork and crispy wontons, they were delicious!

Great local Chinese restaurant with a relaxed ambience. I often get take out and their portions are large. My fave is their chicken with cashew nuts, and they make a good Cantonese style chow mein.

This is an old school westernized Chinese restaurant. They serve old favorites. If that is what you are after this is a great place. They staff were super nice.

Perfect for lunches! The sauces are not too strong, and the price is quite reasonable compared to the portion and the options.

Absolutely a gem in the middle of kits. I walked in with a friend because I was just hungry and needed something to fill up; not expecting much. Great portions, incredible dry garlic ribs and some quite nice dishes like the friend wide rice noodles with the wok taste-yes positive. Have been there several times. I hope it does not get discovered and get too busy:) Keep up the quality and quantity, PLEASE.

Restaurant was clean and food was good. Large portions too. We arrived about 2: 15pm and the place was empty which, given the time of day, was not surprising. By the time we got our food, which was quick, the place was packed. Our server was excrement making the overall experience very good. Will definitely return as well as recommend to friends.

I spent almost $20.00 on two soups to go. I questioned why the hot and sour soup container was so small as I had ordered a large. She said it was the same amount and even more in a different size container. When I got it home I measured it compared to the large wonton soup I have bought and it was 3/4's of a cup smaller than what it used to be but the price was the same. The won ton soup which always had firmly cooked broccoli and firm won tons had broccoli that was so well done it flaked and the won ton's were mush. I wonder if there is a new cook and if there is the business is going under. I was so disappointed. I have been going there for year.

The food was so.good.the almond chicken is amazing and the mixed veggies were perfect the service was great without being pushy and its a much nicer vibe then the more upscale chinese locations around 10/10 will come here again

Very big dish for cheaper price than any restaurant in Vancouver and quite good too, good service and friendly.

Sweet and sour pork- flavor was good but meat was dry
Black bean and garlic Chow mein- chicken was great, chow mein a bit chewy if you like that, veggies not overcooked, flavor is.decent
Pork fried rice- great
Egg rolls- good, thinner than i expected but still good
Deep fried prawns- decent. Wished i asked for lemon wedge for it. It's not crunchy, very soft, not sure container needs more air holes
10% off pickup orders is great.

Connie's is a gem, and I hope they are in business for a very very long time. This is my soul-food when I am in the Kits area. The service is very prompt, and the food is consistently delicious. Highly recommend.

Excellent, large portions, of the best Chinese food in Vancouver. Plates piled high with great flavour. Have been going there for 5 years, always good fast service. Does plenty of takeout business. Classic old restaurant, tucked into West 4th, Kits. They will make chicken vegetable chow main gluten free for you, using their rice noodles. Reasonably priced with many many menu options. Definitely a place to experience.

My fav for Chinese food on the Westside, friendly service, awesome staff, great food and if you suffer from ciliac they will bend over backwards for you, makes for an easy night out with friends.

Great food! Everything was yummy! We did take out and we were impressed that the packaging was old school tin foil and not plastics! Will be back!
