Cook St Liquor

Just tried to buy 4 single cans of beer for myself and my partner. We were accompanied by my 21 year old sibling who had no ID. The teller wouldn’t sell the beer to me (24) and my partner (25) despite us having multiple pieces of ID. The 21 year old was not purchasing liquor. It was absurd to be denied service. The teller was incredibly smug and rude and suggested we were trying to break the lease - which we were not.

I just had my day brightened by the cashier, she gifted me a bouquet of flowers that were not at their best, very kind of her!
Store is clean, service is friendly.

Awesome selection, but it’s the staff that make this place great. Whether you’re a beer nerd, wine enthusiast or anything in between, they’ll meet you where you’re at! Great place to go if you’re looking for some of those niche hard to find products, especially items with limited release from the mainland. Even if you’re not into alcohol, they have a selection of craft cheese, meat, and non alcoholic options to accommodate everyone. They’re a great asset to the cook street village community.

Selection is alright. Only option in the area… Seems a bit overpriced, but it is the cook street village after all… Coolers aren’t all that cold either. Was looking for a cold beer.

Everything is much more expensive than other liquor stores and they don't even have particularly nice stuff. No natural wines or particularly nice or hard to find wines despite being expensive. Some staff are a bit condescending and make you feel uncomfortable when looking around and don't know much about their merchandise compared to other liquor store employees.

Basically a quarter of the stuff at BCL but higher prices. So why come here?

This place is good exclusively as a craft beer store I think.

One thing I will give it though is that it's a really cute shop. Very nicely decorated.

My girlfriend and I are 36 and 32 and we were refused service because we didn’t have 2 pieces of ID. We only have our Quebec Medicare cards because we don’t drive and we aren’t students. That was ridiculous.

Love this place. Very helpful staff. The flowers, snacks, and other foodstuffs are a nice convenience when in a rush.

Awesome staff, small selection, bad prices. Really lacking if you are an IPA fan. Really missing a lot of beers made on the island here.

Maybe the price for hard liquor is good, I'm not sure.

It's a little pricy for what you are getting but the novelty of the flower shop is nice!

If you're super into craft beer this is your spot n lots of unique options, but expect to pay extra for the flair and basic domestics.

Good selection, convenient location, and friendly staff. They also have a great selection of craft beer, and a full time flower store. There prices are about 10-15 percent above government liquor stores, but that's to be expected. They also have a great rewards program, where you can get concert tickets, various swag from distributors, discounts on purchases etc.

I dunno man. A lot of these reviews look like they're attached to fake names. I live in the neighborhood and I try DESPERATELY to avoid coming to this place. The prices are from the future (i.e. At least 20% plus compared to BCLC) and the staff really aren't that friendly. They're super-hip and trendy, but really not all that amicable. Strong do not recommend.

Plants and great booze, can it get any better? Find lots of specialty and small breweries here which is great.

Great selection of craft beer single cans, and they had a discount for a DIY beer can advent calendar, which was just in time for me to get a birthday gift. A bit pricey though, but the selection and their points system makes up for it:)

While we love Cook St Liquor (favourite liquor store in the city!) this review is for Cook St Greenery which is the cute little flower shop at the front of the store. Alina did all our wedding florals and I cannot say enough great things! Her bouquets were beautiful, she listened to what we wanted and created the perfect arrangements for our day. All the other details we ordered, like a flower crown, table greenery, and corsages, were perfect as well. The pricing was incredibly reasonable for the quality of flowers we received. We could not have picked a better florist, and would recommend Cook St Greenery to anyone!
