Did the full-day trail ride with my partner (who had never been on a horse before - I have prior riding experience). Awesome experience - I've been on several trail rides all over the world and this stands out as one of the best rides I've ever done! Our guides Brian and Emily were great - Brian in particular who spent the whole day with us was very knowledgable and approachable. The horses were well cared for and very good at their jobs - it was obvious they also really enjoyed being out on the trail. I was also impressed at how well they matched rider to horse - my horse Pat was a perfect trail pony. The trail is exciting and you see a variety of different scenery including a river crossing and lots of opportunities to do some trotting and cantering (which we only did once the guide checked in that everyone was comfortable - they really do cater to the pace that best suits everyone in the group!). I would highly recommend this ride for those with experience and beginners alike - this was the perfect way to introduce my partner to horses in a fun and safe way and an amazing way to explore the BC backcountry.

We had an amazing time on the Li-lik-hel Gold Mine 3-day overnight trip!

Having not ridden a horse since I was VERY little, I found the trails challenging but fun and achievable - my adrenaline was definitely pumping at times but I always felt safe and in good hands with our trail guide, Fran, leading our group. Each day was a FULL riding day through the backcountry. Such a cool adventure!

Some highlights: beautiful mountain scenery, excellent hearty meals (thank you Don!), very comfortable accommodations, and of course trusty well-cared for horses that knew exactly what they were doing. I got to ride Lonesome, who was very patient with me despite me not having much experience! Thank you Lonesome.

Our guide Fran was very lovely and knowledgeable, and managed the horses with skill. She also took some beautiful photos for us to remember the trip, which was perfect because I was too busy soaking up the scenery to take many of my own.

Beautiful location and extremely friendly wranglers. We had a lovely hour ride and had I known how comfortable their saddles are, I would have opted for a longer trip.

Coming for a short vacation from Vancouver, this time we decided to see Pemberton from the horse back. We enjoyed the trail ride with COPPER CAYUSE OUTFITTERS so much! The horses were well trained and comfortable to ride on even we are primarily used to English riding style. The guide was experienced and really nice chat with during the ride, the valley ride was an amazing experience! We will definitely be back next time! Thank you!

Had a wonderful day trip out. I was fortunate enough to be the sole person booked on this trip and my guide included trot and canter experiences. We climbed up and down inclines, wandered along forest trails and stopped occasionally to look out over the mountains or a lake. She was very knowledgeable about local flora. We saw chipmunks. Good packed lunch.
It was fun riding Western style and the horse was excellent at his job.

Where to start! This experience was everything and more we hoped for.

The trails are breathtaking and the horses are so well trained even for an un-experienced rider like me. My partner which has a lot of experience had tons of fun as well. You have liberty to really work your horse. Our wrangler was attentive and alert.

We chose the half day the included lunch was great and oh what a view! We strongly recommend

Our guide Elizabeth was amazing. The trails and ride through the river were really nice. Unfortunately, we were unable to clearly see Mount Curie due to the smoke in the air from the distant wildfires. I definitely plan to go again but for a longer excursion. So worth the drive from Vancouver.

WOW! I went on the half day trail ride with a yummy packed lunch! I was fortunate enough that it was just myself and my friend on the trail and what an amazing experience it was! To be able to see the most incredible views through a horses ears, is hands down the best way to see British Columbia! Brian was a great guide, he made my friend and myself feel at ease straight away. He was really informative, funny and so helpful. He is a credit to your business. Fergus was a great addition to our trail too! The horses are outstanding (I rode Red and he now has a place in my heart forever!). They are the most sure-footed horses I've ever been on, felt so safe even on the more precarious parts of the trail! Thank you so much for a wonderful time! Highly recommend

Brain, the trail boss was great. He was calm, knowledgeable, laid back, and had good stories. The horses were good too. They knew their job to follow the leader. The country is breathtaking. We did a 4.5 hour ride. A full day ride or overnight would probably be amazing. It’s pricey (not anymore than any other outfit) but still cheaper than owning a horse and worth the money. The rest of the crew were really great too and personable.

It was awesome! Super organized. We were lucky enough to ride without anyone else. Claire picked out the right horses for both of us. It was a varied and ingenious 2 hours trip! Anytime! THANK YOU!

AMAZING experience! Husband booked me a one hour tour so I can get a break from our toddler during our family trip. It was such a great gift and amazing experience. The ranch has a very chilled and relaxing vibe and doggos are hanging around having fun!
I had great time chatting and riding with Maddie, the trail was quiet and beautiful. Ringo is the most gentle and chilled horse I've ever met, I really wish we would have more time together!

I would for sure coming back for a full day or overnight trips!

Pro tip: Bring the bug sprays and wear long trousers!

My whole family did the 4 hour ride. During that time the horses climbed at least 1400m of elevation…incredible! The horses were all so well mannered and I would highly recommend this experience to anyone. Shelby was a 10/10 Wrangler!

We make a point of visiting Copper Cayuse every summer with our kids! Josh, the team and the horses are wonderful. The scenery is spectacular. We highly recommend the Copper Cayuse experience to anyone visiting Whistler or Pemberton.

My husband and I have zero riding experience and we had an amazing time.

Before booking I checked in if a 2hour trip is advisable for people with no experience and the replies where quick, friendly and reassuring. They picked older and calmer horses for us and the charming guide explained us everything we need to know. We were lucky that the group was just the guide, me and my husband.
The weather was perfect which made the scenery and the ride through the creek even more stunning. 2 hours felt like a good time to get to know your horse because they gonna test you and sneak in as many snack brakes as they can ️
I cannot recommend this place high enough. Can’t wait to book it again once we are back in BC

Had a lovely experience at CCO Wellness retreat.the tents and cots were super comfy. The campfire never went out and Alice the chef was exceptional. Will be attending another one. Highly recommend.

Our guide Maddie and contact Don were friendly, engaging and helpful throughout the whole process. We had a fantastic 2 hour tour with Kaitlyn. She picked out the right horses for us beginner riders and really knew the horses and their different personalities. We had a great time taking the horses through the scenic country side and even got a chance to take them on a trot! Kaitlyn was always checking in on us and even took a bunch of photos and videos of our experience. Thank you again for a memorable adventure!

We had a great experience for our September ride. Our guide, Tom, was fantastic, took the time to explain things to us and was diligent in checking in on the riders to ensure everyone was safe and comfortable. All horses were beautiful and easy for beginners to ride. Stunning trail, I particularly liked the walk through the water!

The 2 hour ride we took exceeded our expectations! It was a wonderful way to spend time in nature and on beautiful horseback. Despite living in the area, we were able to see it from a different perspective. We highly recommend Copper Cayuse!

My husband and I had an amazing time doing the half day ride in the Birkenhead with CCO! Such a beautiful landscape and an incredible way to see it! The horses were wonderful and patient even with some of the less experienced riders. Our guide, Kate, was amazing! So personable and a joy to be around! I went on a tour with Copper Cayuse back in September. Loved every second of it. Kaitlyn was a great instructor and my horse, Buster was a good boy. Already looking into a trip for next year!

Amazing time - staff are super friendly and approachable, and a truly once in a lifetime experience.

What an absolute perfect experience! We did a half day ride in the Birkenhead and it was fantastic. We took the advice from the confirmation email about using their detailed instructions on how to get to the trailhead and we had no problem finding it. Brian was an excellent guide who was kind, caring and supportive for all the riders in our group. I ride on the regular but my husband does not and Brian took the time to help him out with positioning, and general riding advice. The horses were sound, very confident on the sometimes quite steep terrain, and very gentle. The terrain is not meadows and flat, it is up and down with some spots for a good trot or canter, but even the beginner riders seemed to do really well. The lunch provided was delicious too! Overall, every part of the trip was top quality. I am already texting girlfriends getting interest for a 3 day/2 night ride next summer! Thank you for the unforgettable experience CCO!

Went on the full day trail ride on July. 19/21, we had Jamie as our wrangler and our horses were Oscar and Archie. By far the best experience ever! Wow, what a day, the ride up to the lookout was breathtaking and we went on a river crossing after lunch. Our horses were very strong and we felt safe and stable on the ride. We ended at birkenhead lake for a swim! Jamie was the best guide, super friendly, knowledgeable and helpful with the experience! Highly recommend this to everyone! 5 stars!

Went for a 2-hour ride and really enjoyed it, you get a good taste of different riding conditions with the trail that they took us on. The wrangler was really nice and helpful and gauged the groups ability really well. Would definitely recommend if you have the time up in Pemberton area.

We had opted for two hours tour at 3: 00 pm. However, no horses were available and our tour started at 3: 40 pm. We had a great time playing with the estate dog-Pepsi. Helmets were optional. For large sizes, only bike helmets were available. The provided helmets were not sanitized.

The horses looked tall and stout. However, my horse was resistant to even move. I understood from the wrangler that the horse was too tired since ours was the last tour of the day. I felt awful to ride on top of a horse which was visibly so tired. He was slow through the two hour tour. My sister had paid for this tour and I didn't want to disappoint her by refusing to ride. However, at the end of the trip, I decided never to use these poor animals for leisure purpose.

I wish that the company was a little more considerate while using their horses for back to back packed tours.

Kaitlyn was an excellent guide. As a beginner, they made us feel comfortable. We did a full day ride and had a great time!

WE had a great ride and the guide was perfect. Early morning ride was perfect. We crossed the river and tried a trot. My horse was perfect. I recommend this place - friendly, accommodating to our level of comfort.

Incredible family experience

Word of caution:
- first of all, MAP your drive to the trailhead. The instructions and the directions links were useless. The turn off was very hard to find there is no cell reception in the area.

- second, this is not a leisurely meadow ride. It’s steep up and down hill single lane path, traversing the mountainside. It was scary for my younger children. It was more of an active, athletic experience.

Our guide was delightful gentleman who gave us a lovely, memorable experience. I definitely enjoyed this with my family.

Had two hours trip on ride, even crossed a river! Very good experience, strongly suggested! One hour trip could be two short, longer than two hours may hurt my butt

What an awesome experience! Thank you to our instructor who was super professional and kind! She was awesome! The horses were also so gorgeous! We did the 1 HR ride and it was so fun! Remember to bring sunscreen and bug repellent because I did get mosquito bites!

My husband & I took our 7 year old daughter on her 2nd ride with Copper Cayuse Outfitters and were thrilled with Josh & Jamie. They were more than pleasant to deal with in booking and just as lovely on the ride. The horses are well taken care of and the hour ride we went on was absolutely stunning with mountain views, open fields, and the best part was going into the water! We will be returning again next month we loved it so much!:)

I am rarely make a review, but I think I should write down a review at this time. Staffs are SUPER kind, caring, informative, and friendly. Horses are VERY well trained, well behaved, and well treated. Wonderful and fun experience with a FANTASTIC view. Everything was just PERFECT! Would definitely go back!

So much fun exploring parts of Pemberton i didn't even know existed. Im not a very experienced horseback rider and this tour was so easy for me. The horses are so well trained and make you feel so safe. Great staff too!

I joined a group of British tourists for a fun 1/2 day and Cowboy Supper
with Copper Cayuse Outfitters.
We had the perfect horse riding weather and everyone was up for the trip thru the beautiful forest areas and hills up to the camp.
All the horses were amazing in the hills and they were happy to get to the camp for some hay and a drink of water.
We also quenched our thirst and enjoyed a great Cowboy Supper cooked by Chef Don *** Best Ever!

2 back to back Full Day Rides! Excellent excellent rides offering LOTS of different terrain. All horses are in great shape, and super safe. I rode Oscar the Hanoverian he was a fun ride, great choice for me Katie! My favourite trail was "Mud Trail" definitely the most 'technical' - I think I giggled the whole way. I have horses of my own, I ride all over the world and Mud Trail is the very best trail I have been on! Inclines, declines, twist and turns, it has it all!
Katie was my guide on Day 1 - Never seen anyone eat watermelons like this girl) and she takes the most "MAGICAL" photos of you on your horse. We laughed all day!
My guide on day 2 was Brian - Brian is a lot of fun, very knowledgeable on the trails and the area, he is up for anything all the while keeping you safe.
I would definitely recommend Copper Cayuse Outfitters to anyone and the next visit to BC I will plan the 3 day ride to the mine!

My wife and I went horseback riding with CCO about a month ago and had a great time, I'd highly recommend. It was awesome to ride across the rivers too and all the horses were great (Especially Dakota!). Thank you and we look forward to seeing you again!

Our tour guide was super friendly and gave us clear instructions on handling the horses and riding them. The horses were really well mannered and well trained as well. Mine was a bit mischievous but that only added to the fun. The actual trail was relaxing and fording the river was the best part even though we weren't able to go all the way since people were there. Price is a bit high but well worth the money.

My boyfriend and I did the full day ride and it was absolutely amazing. Katy was the best guide and the horses were all so great. Definitely the highlight of our weekend and will hopefully be back in the future! Also the provided lunch was exactly what we needed for a day full of riding!

Our group of 7 ladies was in the Whistler area for a ‘stagette’ weekend…. The bride-to-be decided that horseback riding was something she wanted to do and without exception this ride ended up being the highlight of our weekend!

The horses were matched perfectly to each rider’s skill level and Josh and Katie went above and beyond in making sure that our experience was safe and lots of fun. If you are in the area, a visit to Copper Cayuse Outfitters is an absolute must… I promise you will not be disappointed.

We are now looking for an excuse to return to the area and take advantage of another ride.

We did an 2h ride with Katie (?) yesterday (June the 9th) and it was absolutely awesome! She did a great job. Horses looking healthy and happy, as far as I can judge. Duke was just wonderful and so the trail we rode. Rivercrossings, forrest, mountains is was just a spectacular scenery! We even saw a mama bear with her 2 cubs? Also other wildlife along the trail. I can highly recommend this place and I definitely will be back!

Outstanding experience! We were 2 beginner riders taking a 2 hour tour and it went just great. You can expect trained friendly horses and instructions on how to control them before you go out.

I was in the area (from Vancouver) in the first week of May. As it was early for the tourist season, I had the good fortune of being the only person booked for this day. Had a great experience with Katy. We travelled through forest, into a river and even came across some deer. I'm not afraid of horses, but it had been 25 years since my last ride so I was inexperienced I suppose, and not 100% sure of handling "Reno". Katy gave me great instruction and was encouraging when I did something correctly; plus Reno himself was chill enough to know what he was supposed to do. After the ride, Katy took me over to say Hi to the many other horses (they have over 30) in the corrals and shared some anecdotes about them. She even wrote down the name of a Dr.who I should YouTube (based on a convo we had while riding). The only downfall was that the ride was over when I was enjoying myself so much. Hopefully I can return and have a longer ride!
