Came here for a second time and took my mom for her birthday. Made a reservation and mentioned to the server but they didn’t even wish my mom a happy birthday? Hmm.

Every dish tonight was not served warm. The lamb shank sauce was too sweet and needed acid. The bison tartare was very salty but otherwise had ok flavor.
The trout was OK but served on grilled zucchini and some tough vegetable which was poor presentation and flavor story to go with the fish and beurre blanc sauce. The bouillabaisse was so sad, lack of seafood abundance. The carbonara was fine but nothing special.

Olive cake was dry. The pot de crème was light like mousse (should be on the heavier side).

So sad to have taken my mom here for a pretty disappointing meal. The first time I was here was great but tonight they really bombed. 2 appies and 4 mains shared between 3 people with 2 desserts and still wasn’t full. Won’t be back.

Awesome ambiance, this French restaurant is beautiful, service and food are great. They have a very enjoyable wine menu. Guillaume & Bérénice are here to help you if you are not sure what wine to take.

Rosé on the patio? Search no more. Great food, service was fast and attentive, this is a good French restaurant. Will recommend.

Went here with my partner for their Valentine’s Day meal and we had an absolutely amazing experience. The servers were so friendly and super attentive! The food was superb and we both enjoyed everything they had to offer.

Highly recommend this place to anyone looking for a cute date night.

Ace service, friendly and knowledgable, especially the lovely Bérénice. Cocktails are delicious and the featured dishes show the love for good food enjoyed in good company. We will be back!

Got the brisket risotto special and steak frites, everything was way too salty. They charged 9$ for sparkling water. Cute location but not worth it - better options elsewhere!

I went out with some colleagues and we had a great time. The food was divine and the service amazing. Servers were knowledgeable and friendly, Berenice being our favorite! We will definitely come back, maybe for lunch to try!

Amazing restaurant! First of, it's beautiful inside, the food is great (Coq au vin is huge, I always get their bison tartare!), wines and cocktails selection are outstanding. And last but not least, the STAFF: all welcoming and kind, they want you to have the best experience at Coquette. For all of the reasons above (and more) trust me, you'll keep coming back!

Wonderful new place to relax, drink and eat. A new scene for inspired french cuisine with a subtle touch of Canadian inspiration. The cocktails are imaginative and well balanced. The food is divine with fresh products. Good selection of wine. And service makes you feel special (thanks Bérénice and Guillaume!)

10/10. Food is incredibly delicious. Location is beautiful. Me and my friends enjoyed the last bit of sun on the patio and had the joy to be served by the sweet Bérénice:)

First time there. Excellent food. Interactive, knowledgeable and fun server "Michael".

I went with a friend to the Kits' Coquette for an early dinner last night. We started just b4 the end of their happy hour. The happy hour glass of wine is $9, in my opinion too expensive for a happy hour cheap wine. Smoked olives $8, spiced nuts about the same, fries $7. Some puff pastry for $4 (tasted it on a previous occasion, nothing special). I ordered the smoked olives. The dinner menu is very short. Besides our order it included pork belly, stealhead, steak frites, some scallop moose and some fennel veggies dish. I had a bison tartare ($18) and my friend had a pasta with ground (!) duck meat for $28. She said it tasted good. The tartare tasted very good although I had a discussion with our waiter regarding its chopped meat:). The orig tartare was always made from a scraped meat (which, to be honest, I only got done that way in Paris and Prague). Summary: a poor happy hour (my second, had fries and wine at the first one a few weeks ago). If I ever go back I would again order the tartare. It tasted good and the price was right too. I am not sure if I would really recommend them to friends. True, they have a nice patio and there was nothing wrong with the service. But there are better French restaurants in Vancouver.

The meal started off great, with the appetizers of peppers, charcuterie and bison tartare all tasting good and coming out fairly quickly. Unfortunately between the appetizers and the main courses, we waited approximately an hour. Our seating was at 6: 45pm, and we received our mains at just after 8pm. The scallop mousse and the steelhead tasted great, but the vegetables with the steelhead were bland/under seasoned and were almost mushy in texture. The duck bolognese was okay, but the pork belly was a bit disappointing. The pork belly was a bit dry and had very little fat, and the accompanying gnocchi was not what we were expecting. The gnocchi tasted like mini “pizza pockets” without filling, if you’ve ever had the frozen snack as a comparison. Small, potato shells with air inside essentially. It’s unfortunate as the meal started really well with the appetizers, but the wait for the mains and the quality of the mains didn’t live up to expectations.

An absolute treat!
Went to Coquette Brasserie for the first time tonight and we were quickly impressed. Upon entering the dining room and taking our seats my partner and I turned to one another and both exclaimed how it felt like being in France! The staff was excellent and very helpful from the get go, with attentive service and terrific wine recommendations. The cocktails were smooth and vibrant, with fresh colours and a crisp taste (the Belleville sour was excellent). The food is likewise stellar; fans of classic French cuisine should be very happy with traditional staples brought to fresh destinations using modern technique and elegant plating. We both loved our appetizers (the house made brioche is also a real treat), and of course had to try the coq au vin. YOU should get the Coq au vin! It felt like comfort food (being amongst the first rains of the fall) and had a rich and decadent sauce (large portion too, we were shocked at the size for the price). Excellent flavours throughout- It is clear the chefs are putting in all the efforts for every dish.
I feel it is rare to find good French food in a comfortable setting and Coquette Brasserie is that hidden gem. We will be coming back and bringing friends with us next time!

Good food although the menu is a bit limited. Personally I think it would be nice to have a few more items to choose from.

The brisket brioche was underwhelming, but the fries and sauce were to die for. Would go back just for the fries
