Coquitlam Children's Dentistry (Dr. Christine N. Kim Inc.)

Definitely the best experience we have ever had with children's dentistry. Dr. Kim is a real professional and extremely caring person. We had an emergency in December with our son's baby tooth infection and swelling. Because of severity, Dr. Kim managed to make us an almost immediate appointment to inspect, get proper instructions and recommendations, and eventually after the treatment she extracted the tooth in 5 seconds. Dr. Kim literally saved our Christmas, we are very grateful for her kindness and understanding. If you need to get your kid to the dentist, this is the best place.

This is the best pediatric dentist practice for kids! We see Dr. Kim and she is so patient with my kiddos. The staff is welcoming and nice, most importantly they help my kids relax and have a good experience at the dentist. The office is so kid friendly and that makes our visits be fun. I feel like they provided a lot of useful information in every one of our visits. Dr. Kim never rushes us, but always explains what is going on with our kids and what her recommendations are. Highly recommend this practice, specially if you have kids with special needs and sensory issues who are nervous about seeing the dentist. They are BEYOND amazing!

My boys have been seeing Dr. Kim since they were 2 & 4 (over 9 years). Dr Kim has always been very friendly and professional with our family. We love that she is a paediatric specialist. Her office is setup in a way that really helped with my kids anxiety towards the dentist. The reception staff is very friendly, always smiling, and accommodating to make appointments that work for us. They always send a follow up email and text before our appointment.
The dental hygienist are very friendly and work well with the kids and their anxiety. Dr. Kim works very fast and efficient and always does a great job. I highly recommend Dr. Kim for your child’s dental needs.

I've been bringing my daughter here since 2016 and we both absolutely love it.

When my daughter first started to visit the Dentist she was not fond of it, she would often cry thinking it was scary.

Overtime, with a compassionate and friendly approach from Dr Kim and her team, my Daughter has grown fond of the Dentist and is always happy to have her teeth checked as she wants to ensure they're clean and growing properly.

I find that Dr Kim is always explaining any concerns and procedures that she recommends, she has never done anything without consent and explains to the parent in great detail what the benefits are and the risk if there is a delay in any treatment.

My daughter is now 8 and will continue to see Dr Kim for as long as we are in the Coquitlam area.

The receptionist is not very friendly at all. I call for an emergency appointment, and i understand that my kid have a fever (because his gum is swollen) and they cannot take him in due to covid risk. But she sounded like it was a joke. As a mother who already so concern about my kid, she was just laughing at me like there is something funny about that? You can just kindly tell me that you cannot see my kid i will totally get it, not to laugh at me and tell me goodluck with that. SO RUDE! And i guess reading other review, I'm not the only one who experience bad service from the receptionist.

Edit: Dr. Kim called me later that day for a virtual checkup. My son's case got diagnosed which is what i need. So i have no problem with the dentist, just the receptionist. If only she gave me that option in the first place and didn't just turn me away in a not so appealing way i won't be upset.

Dr Kim and all the staff at the dentist is excellent!
They truly care about kids and take time to go through every step!
Professional care for your children at reasonable price (we get treatments for free, covered by MSP).
Gifts and toys at the end is a treat for our kids!

My family has been going here for years. Dr. Kim and the entire team is AMAZING! Brought my 3 kids in recently and we were very impressed with all the new COVID-19 safety procedures. My kids always leave happy and smiling. I highly recommend bringing your kids to them!

Poor experience. Took our 4 year old kid to a fluoride filling. It was not properly done which was confirmed by another dentist after examining. Also, she was rude to the child - should have some skills to deal with kids if you are specializing in children's dentistry.

We have been taking our kids here for 13 of years and all of the staff are fantastic. Everyone is kind and works with the kids so well, really makes them feel comfortable.
