Coquitlam City Hall

I was attending the peaceful counter protest today, and a middle aged male city worker yelled homophobic language out of the passenger window of a city truck.
Very unprofessional, and not okay.
The vehicle had the markings E2168
They drove past the corner of Glenn and pine tree twice between 11-11: 30am with the same man in the passenger seat both times. I reported this to the front desk staff, and have had no follow up.

Very nice venue for an inauguration. It has some very good accessibility- friendly features to help folks navigate. Good to see some friendly people.

Usually calling any City Hall is a pain in the rear end, they talk to you like you're a nobody, rude, keep you on hold for eternity. However, I just had the most wonderful experience with City of Coquitlam and it was specifically a woman by the name of Susan. What a delight/joy it was to talk to her, she listened to me, and she did everything possible to solve my issue. I could tell that she genuinely cared about my concern. That woman deserves a raise and she is the perfect example of what a city employee should be like, polite, professional, friendly. If only calling ICBC, CRA, Health Clinics would be as pleasant as this was! Thank you Susan! I hope you get recognition for your wonderful personality and for the amazing job you do.

Impossible to get straight answers from anyone. How do they justify all these random fees? Robbing citizens who try and improve their properties, disgraceful. They should help their citizens but instead they put up road blocks.

There is visitor parking under the building. I feel the need to mention that because it's the one thing I think about when I visit somewhere new! Also, you have to go up a flight of stairs from the parking level to get to the main level where information is. Otherwise, I went to go pickup plans and was greeted at the counter immediately, both at Development and at the Finance office. Everyone I dealt with was very nice and I got what I came for in good time.
