Cora Breakfast and Lunch

Sorry to say that today I had an awful experience at cora, surrey which is unexpected. Their food is unhealthy, unhygienic and unclean place to hav food. Their service is very careless. During our visit the table was not clean properly even underneath the table there was dirty water spread all around after seeing those mess & dirt, we asked them to clean. One of the waitress who is middle age, the way she served our food is totally in unprofessional manner. When we ordered our food we said several times and requested not to give any pork or beacon in our food then the other young lady (waitress) assure us they will not give us any kind of that thing. We ordered beef bowl kind of thing (forgot the dish name) while eating we found a hair on the food but we didn’t bother them and try to skip that but the worst thing happened when we found they give pork in our burger brunch, as we don't like to eat pork because of religious issue we can't take their smell as well. (Before discovering pork) While eating we smelled something wrong but we kept faith on them though we didn't complain that time. When my baby smelled the food instantly she vomit and got sick. During that time none came to help us. We seek for napkins and tissues several time to clean the mess. After cleaning the mess we found inside the burger there is pork beacon, When we asked them why they put pork in our food they don't want to compensate us but my husband said that he is not gonna pay for the food but they just consider the burger brunch. We had paid the other thing as we couldn’t eat any of them because after seeing pork in our food we lost our appetite and felt vomiting. They did also bad trick at our bill, before giving order the young waitress told us there is free juice for baby that's why we accepted the offer but while making bill they charged for that juice and explained us that we didn't order any kids item that's why they charged. They should let us know when the food will charge or not. There is a kind of hypocrisy we faced but we didn’t want to embarrass others that's why didn’t said a single other word to them. We felt like we are hostage over there. Now I and my baby both are sick who will compensate us because of their careless behaviour? The worst experience I have ever had in my entire life. I will not recommend others.

Delivery on Door Dash. The dasher was wonderful and communicative, but the food was very messy and disorganized. We ordered two poutine style potatoes and we weren't sure if they mixed the two together or made a mistake on our order. They also gave us burnt bread. Very upset for this turnout. Especially paying this much, we would have expected the food to be properly presented.

We visited on a slower day, but the waitress was still so kind and sweet. She made every effort to make sure we were well taken care of.
Food here was not as spectacular as I always remember. The egg to bread ratio in my sandwich was easily just 70% bread. Seasonal fruits were all very fresh and nicely arranged in the meals. I'd come back specifically for the great service thought.

First time and amazing breakfast experience with our server kat. Food speed, quality and quantity was good. I didn’t like their latte coffee much, I wish they had more options but otherwise clean restaurant with good vibes. Side of fruits is

I came to this business expecting a nice experience with good service. As soon as me and my friend were sat we were not given water. No server had come to us for around 15-20 minutes. Another table was sat right after us and they were given a server right after they arrived with water and utensils. By the time we finally started placing our order, the table that had arrived much later after us were already receiving their food. We had to ask for our own waters with our order otherwise we wouldn’t have received even that. The waitress barely acknowledged us and only came to our table a total of three times to take our order, serve it, and take our plates. No refills on our waters and barely had someone else refill my coffee once. I’m not sure if it was because we are Americans, or if it was because of our race, but the whole atmosphere felt unwelcoming. None of the servers made eye contact with us nor would they ask us if everything was going well just as they did with all the other tables, or even acknowledge us. By the end of our meal they had us sit on the booth with no sign of us getting our bills. That’s in comparison to the other tables that were brought their bill right away to pay at their table. We had to go to the entrance to ask for our bills otherwise we would have to sit there for who knows how long. The food was good but it wasn’t worth for the experience we received. I do not recommend this place for anyone that wants both a nice meal and a pleasant, or at least decent service.

Our first time here we liked the food and we loved Irina our server she is soo kind and sweet we loved her 5 Stars for her!

It’s a tad away from where we live and we finally had time to try it. So yummy indeed! The location was accessible to us, the food choices were incredible, the service was great and price was affordable. We will surely back and this is now one of my faves!

The last time I went here the service was slow and I was unhappy with my meal. Decided to try again today with hubby and kid for lunch. After being seated, I had to flag a server after 10 minutes. I ordered stacked pancakes with fruit and they had all u can eat crepes.
My pancakes were COLD not at all warm. They took 15 minutes to bring our drinks, something in my water and glass, and then took 15 minutes to bring the 2nd serving of the all u can eat. Will not go back to this location.

We walked in 15 mins prior to closing without realizing it. We were seated. The service was very prompt and courteous. The food was really good. Plated properly too. We will back.

I came here to write a review of our experience of a disappointing Sunday morning brunch (or lack thereof) but noticed others have already commented on the declining customer service.

To keeps our issue brief: our simple request of being seated at a booth was declined in a very aggressive manner, although a booth was available.

The girl, Sonia, was frantic and rushed and unable to handle the Sunday rush. The manager (Ben) repeated, almost word for word, Sonia’s excuse for not being able to seat us (by throwing a colleague under the bus for being new and pretending they called a customer for that seat even though Sonia picked up the phone to call while I was trying to speak to Ben). Both Sonia and Ben should be required to take customer service classes, and stress management techniques, to be able to address customer needs and handle pressure of busy times.

I have been coming to this location for more than 5 years (and even ordered through Uber Eats during Covid to help support the business), and am disappointed to have left - after 50 minutes - feeling very frustrated and hungry.

After being so disappointed, we went across the street to West Village Café instead and were greeted with the biggest smiles and amazing food!

Don’t waste your time going here; time to find new go-to brunch spots in town!

I was with friends and i felt the rude service was motivated by racism because me and my friends spoke different language, never again food is bad and service very disrespectful.

I went to Cora first time and I ordered fruit waffle & tea, the plate was full of colorful fruits and it was so delicious, I never had that delicious and healthy breakfast in my life, first time I ate 9-10 fruits all together from my waffle olatw, amazing, I'll recommend family or friends, I'll try other dishes from Cora in future

Great for breakfast and its different from Denny's or IHOP. The food was awesome and so was the service. They are quick and great for take out aswell.

After many great experiences at the Langley location, I was so incredibly disappointed with my visit to this Cora's over the weekend. My experience was in line with the other 1-star reviews I see written here, with the major common thread being that management did nothing to apologize or attempt to repair the situation until it was much too late. I'm not sure who was at fault (server/kitchen/etc) but I do know that management/the server had several opportunities throughout to salvage our experience (and have us leave happy) and they didn't take them. It seems you have a 25% chance of having an awful experience at this location so it's worth it to drive to Langley where you KNOW it will be good.

ABSOLUTE WORST EXPERIENCE AT ANY RESTAURANT IN MY LIFE. We were a table of six and 5 of us enjoyed our food, but my sister took a few bites, felt that something was off and asked us to taste it for our opinion. A few of us tried it and agreed that something was off. She complained to the server, who got her supervisor, who got the manager, Ben. Ben said he would charge us for half the plate because half the omlette was eaten and that the restraunt had a 3-bite rule. We said we're not paying for this plate because it was terrible. Ben said he'll call the RCMP because we didn't want to pay for the plate. We ended up paying for the fruits on the plate, but all six of us left angry, disappointed and very disturbed. This has never happened to us before anywhere and we were shocked by it. We will not be going back to this location and we will tell all of our friends about what happened. Absolutely embarrassing.

My husband and his friends love this spot for breakfast. The staff tends to be quite nice but the fruit can sometimes be a bit iffy. Overall the rest of the food is really sold.

The service was absent, after being seated, we were ignored. One server too our order, another dropped it to the table. We never saw a server after the order came, so asking fir Katchup or jam or peanut butter wasn't going to happen. The servers were no where to be found. The food was ok, but without condiments, it was just dry. The server finally came to take our plates away, not even ask how things were. Sad state of affairs, sorry.this was my second visit, and im not sold on returning here.
I did however I did enjoy an very nice breakfast at the Abbotfird location, so at least I can say I had at least one good meal from this food chain.
Still not sold on quality vs cost considering lack of everything from service to atmosphere.

The food was okay, the staff was friendly but I felt like I was given a fruit platter rather than a proper meal

HORRIBLE SERVICE. The manager threatened to call the RCMP on us because we wanted a refund for one of our orders (because it tasted rotten and my friend couldnt even finish it she felt sick). When we asked for who else we can speak to for compensation he said he can call the rcmp on us and we can ask them. ARE U KIDDING ME? I have NEVER in my life been threatened with the police for wanting a simple refund for my unfinished food. The managers name is Ben, and he was so aggressive with our table. HORRIBLE. NEVER COMING HERE AGAIN.update: turns out ben and his wife are the owners. DISGRACEFUL.

Delicious breakfast/brunch restaurant. Friendly staff and attentive to our needs. I enjoyed their crepe and and their Kale-mango smoothie bowl. I would order both of them again. There’s a variety of items on their menu so I will definitely be back to try them out!

Regularly attend this restaurant with my family. In our many visits the cleanliness, warmth of staff and great early morning menu will keep us coming back.

The worst experience today (fathers day) at the coras in surrey. We got seated, ordered our food (I have my 1 year old and 3 yr old) and after 25 mins of waiting. The waitress came and told us the food would still be about 50 mins. They claimed to have a shortage of kitchen staff. But the skip the dishes orders were flying out of that place faster then one could imagine. They didn't care about the people inside the restaurant all they cared about was skip.orders.the food was not good. And this was the second time we we t there because the first time so so good. But we definitely won't be back. If you can't handle the restaurant with skip running turn off ur skip until you can handle it. We watched a 15 person table get up and and leave and I told 3 ppl the wait time who had kids they also left. Their management doesn't give a care at all.

I ordered breakfast from Uber from this place and ate some of the fruit and then realized there are some insects running around in the bowl! How can they do it? This is unacceptable!

I wish I could add video to the review but in the photo attached that brown insect in yellow circle moves around, I have the video recorded! This is so bad and unacceptable!

Very nice place for a meal with friends. The service is consistently very friendly and accommodating. The kitchen is cooperative with substitutions. The interior is in excellent repair and everything looks and feels very clean. Service is prompt. There's also a little patio - perfectly shaded on hot summer days and it's a little quieter out there when the restaurant is very busy. I'll be sure to come back with friends and family in tow.

Horrible experience, would not come back anymore. Found hair in my food, ask for it to be remade took them 10-15 minutes when my table was done eating. Never apologized, gave us the bill when I was still eating. My food was mediocre at best. Still had to pay for the meal.

Newly opened. Even though it was busy, we got out table pretty fast. I think as it is the newly opened restaurant, there was a mix up of our food, which we didn't receive for about 45 minutes. However, the food was delicious and big portions. Will definitely go back.
