Core Salon and Spa

I'm still giving 3 stars but I am disappointed after my last visit. I took my boyfriend there for a pedicure. We are returning clients. When I booked the appointment 2 weeks in advance I asked for extra long massages for us. That was confirmed twice with me.

When we got there, the lady at the front mentioned 3 different times "the appointment after us, the appointment after us, the appointment after yoy", really drilling that in. That was when I knew I wasn't getting the extra long massages I asked and paid for.

The girls doing our feet are awesome, they always are. Best part of the whole experience for sure. However one of the tools went a little deep into the side of not 1 but 2 of my toes, and I have my first ever toe infection at the moment. It's very swollen and is filled with puss.lovely.

I got gel on my toes and my boyfriend didn't get any colour so he actually was getting a massage the whole time I had colour going on my nails and going under the light. When my toe colour was finally done - that was the end of our appointment. I didn't get a massage at all, in fact.

The girls were amazing, once again - but I am disappointed overall. I don't think I will be coming back.

Went there yesterday for a haircut+style with Savannah. I was a little bit nervous because I had long hair for 12 years and wanted to change the style. Savannah listened to me carefully and helped me with what's the best for my hair. She patiently asked me how I feel with the cut in every step so that I can tell her any changes I have in mind. Very pleasant experience. Definitely will go there again.

It was good experience, I was expected yow my hair supposed to look. I'm proudly shocked thank you once again

Stopped in for a wash and a blow dry and was booked with Zoe. Asked for a blow dry and beach wave that would last me for sometime on our journey to Dawson City/RVing & Day Tours etc.well I went there on Wednesday and I am writing this review on Sunday and I literally still had my beach waves this morning for helicopter tour (see image). The shower on the RV is the type to put your hair in a clip and soap up and rinse off the body but the last thing I want to do is wash, conditioner & blow out my hair (which if I do not it is a hot curly mess- not the nice curls, more like the frizzy ones).
I would say my hair was 10/10 for 2 solid days and 8/10 day 3 and 6/10 on 4th day (but a little greasy), so I would say the best $55 + tip (included a wonderful scalp massage while the conditioner was in) to spend if you are on the go and want great hair! Today my hair needs a good wash! Thank you Zoe, will visit again when coming through PG.

First, I have to say that Zoe in the salon is awesome, but this review isn't about her.

I booked the extensive facial back in March for a special occasion coming up in June. It's my first time using the spa services. I went into work early so I could leave early and make the appointment. I got there in time to fill out all the paperwork before my appointment time.

After 15 minutes of waiting, the receptionist told me that the person doing my facial was finishing up a pedicure. I thought 15 min is ok. Well it turned into half an hour and I decided to leave. I know they didn't have enough time to do the pedicure before me but they booked it anyway. It's disrespectful. They gave my time away to someone else, and my service cost 3 times as much. I'll continue to go to Zoe because she is professional and very good, but I'll never book at the spa again.

Love Andrea! She is amazing. Ty again for another great visit and for taking care of our hair.

Took are four year old an ten year old boy's for a hair cut they charged us 60$!? For less then 10 minutes of work never again will i take my kids there.

I went first tym for wexing in this salon and amber is so sweet she is so nice.she did my wex so well with a peaceful manner.

Every-time I come here for a haircut/shampoo and style I leave happy and satisfied, this is a professional salon that I recommend to all of my friends. Definitely am a client for life! The stylists and front desk staff are professional and personable! Lexie is very talented and I look forward to my appointments with her!

I went in not knowing exactly what I wanted but the stylist knew what to do. She gave me a great cut, she didn’t rush the appointment, didn’t push products, and really made sure I was happy at the end. Definitely recommended!

I just moved to PG and was worried I wouldn’t find a hair salon like Suki’s (where I used to go when I lived in Vancouver). But I’m sooo glad I found Gabi at The Core! She is an expert in precision cutting and gave me the perfect bob with a beautiful shape. The haircut she gave me was actually better than any cut I ever got at Sukis! Thank you Gabi:) I’m excited to be your new client!

The girl who did my massage, facial and pedicure was SOOOO amazing at her job. When I went to get my pedicure she finished it and did one of the best paint jobs I have ever seen getting a pedicure which would have been perfect until another girl who wasn't even the one who did my pedicure, said she had not ordered flip flops and because I had shoes we would have to wrap them in saran wrap.well she clearly doesn't know the effects of it as the girl doing my pedicure stated she didn't want to do that as she was concerned it would ruin my nails, but the other good went ahead and did it anyways. Well fast forward to 5 minutes later, I get to my car and realize that I have sandles so I go to put them on to find that my nail polish was ruined completely, on every toe.: (it might seem dumb but as someone who is pregnant and it was my birthday and I never treat myself finally using a 2 or 3 year old gift card, and the whole experience was ruined by one girl who wasn't even doing the procedure. The lady at the front desk offered a free polish if I was willing to sit another 45 minutes to wait for the girl, after being there 4.5 hours already, I wasn't interested in it. I just wanted to leave this review because I cried the whole way home about my stupid toenails. Please educate your staff the girl who did the service was amazing so this was very unfortunate for me.

This place is awesome! Best salon and spa in town! Amazing salon and spa staff and great receptionists. I will be back!

A + Excellent service. Absolutely highly recommend the olaplex 4 in 1 treatment. My hair was so dry damaged. After olaplex my hair was so soft and shiny. Very happy highly recommend.
