Go to spot in Powell for great food and drinks! Good atmosphere, seating is pretty good but the food is so flavourful and fresh

Absolutely amazing food and service. Love coming here every time I come to town for my monthly guest spots. Highly recommended

The staff didn't seem to be too happy to be there at all. They seemed to be spread pretty thin with the amount of people they were serving. We waited a loooong time for our bill. I had a small baby and had to leave and have my friend pay as we were sitting on the patio. I wasn't too happy and didn't feel tended to.

I love the food here and the atmosphere. The servers are amazing as well. I always order the same thing everytime, the jambalaya bowl. But lately it has not been as good. The rice is now just plain white rice which it used to be cooked in some sort of tomato broth. As well more often then not I get home and find there is no shrimp in it.

If I could I would give this more than 5 stars. Lovely atmosphere, wonderful staff and the food was out of this world. One of the best meals we’ve had in a restaurant in ages, including in Mexico. Portions were large and prices so reasonable.

The food is ok. You’re not going to go and be disappointed. It it great? No. Is it bad? No.

I had the duelling enchiladas. The flavour was really nice, a little small for the price, but then they put this bowl of flavourless rice on the side of it. It just didn’t make any sense. Was I just supposed to eat the rice like that? There wasn’t enough sauce or space in my enchilada dish to mix it. Felt like a lame filler.

My wife got the Veggie burrito. Also had some nice flavours in it, the yams were cooked nice, but half of the burrito was filled with that flavourless rice again. It definitely needed some salsa and guacamole. We did order a side of guacamole which really helped the dish, but that was an $3? Maybe 4? Can’t remember…of an already just ok $19.50 burrito. The burrito was also served with a handful chips, but what good are they if you have nothing to dip them in?

I also ordered the horchada which was nice for the first few sips, but then it just got sweeter and sweeter to the point where it was just too much. I guess it just wants mixed well.

My wife and I really enjoyed the cucumber lavender drink though. Super refreshing.

Would I go back here? Maybe. It’s a pleasant setting. But I wouldn’t go out of my way.

Sweet potato burnt, lot of mayo on the tacos, chicken was overcooked, haluomi appy was tiny.

Food is delicious! Took awhile for the food to come. But staff was friendly. And get the polenta street corn fries!

Very pretty and original location. I found the service to be a bit pushy. You can also order half portions. Very tasty but also very expensive.

Very authentic, incredibly tasty. Every person i've met who has eaten here loves it. I dont think there is a bad dish on the menu.

A favourite place to bring visitors! The food and specialty drinks were spectacular. I absolutely love the new stairs! You never let us down.

Delicious meals, wine and beer from the region. We very much liked it. We would recommend sitting outside.

A little Mexico in Powell River. Delicious food and drinks. We had the fish tacos for a main and polenta fries and poblano fritos for appies. Recommended. Margaritas were great as well!

Excellent Excellent Excellent! Beef Birria, Nachitos, Fish Tacos delicious and authentic. Cocktails are fantastic and inventive. Ate here two days in a row and could have done 10 in a row! Staff are super friendly, helpful and create a great chill atmosphere. Micro critique would be that the beer wasn't super cold, but that's probably a fluke. Funny watching people struggle with the unisex bathrooms marked Banos trying to figure out male from female.

Costa Del Sol is the first place I go every time I visit Powell River. I lived in Powell River 9 years ago and it has exceeded expectations every single time since I lived there and any time I've visited after.

From the service with a smile, the best Margheritas I've had, incredible food, and the view through the greenery, Costa Del Sol is a must-visit.

Love it! Yesterday after a concert was the only thing open and save our life. The burrito was a little too ricy but I was starving, no complains on that. Nice music, nice vibes, will be great some live music!

Super sweet staff, very accommodating! The outside setup was very cute, music was perfect volume. The food! Oh man, the food was phenomenal. I had the Creole Caribe Jambalaya Bowl, I would've loved for it to be spicier but the flavors were still so well blended.
Boyfriend had The Maverick, and it was just as excellent. Savory for sure, we'll definitely be back!
