First of all when I arrived I picked up a cart and looked for the towels and sanitizer. There were no towels or wipes for the carts just hand sanitizer. Brought it to the attn of the greeter at the door. She seemed disinterested and said we don't have any, are you kidding it's Costco, they have no wipes paper towels! There is a pandemic going on and Costco seems to be ignoring that fact.
Inside the store was a mess, stuff thrown all over. I was going to buy gift baskets and chocolates. The whole area was a mess with chocolates all over the floor and no baskets. Don't know where the staff were but they were not attending to the dissaray of products.
I won't be back to the Richmond Costco, management need to clean up the store and train the staff.
Yes yesterday, I bought a green kiwi for $8.99 -$2… but 40% of kiwi are rotten… and it’s too troublesome for me to return, just for a replace of kiwi.
Just so, beware of rotten kiwi in “discount” price… because of that square box package.people will have no way to test out their softness ≈ level of rottenness.
Not a big deal of small price.but really disappointed in impression…
I aways go here, I bought a flower for my wife she was so happy but when she put them on the vase, the petals falls off ALL OF IT. I don’t want any of you to experience this heart ache.
Very disappointed with this store in the grocery dept they no longer stock items that I bought regularly meat dept expensive also family members shop in Abbotsford not going back
Good Selection of goods that Costco offers. Grocery, bakery, meats, deli goods, clothes, house hold, automotive, appliance, some furnishing etc. Tire Center. Friendly staff! Serves South Vancouver and Richmond. Plenty of Parking. Very busy store. Food cafe - great hotdog drink deal.
5 Stars BUT my big pet peeve with Costco is their socks. "Planned Obsolescence" I get it. They used to sell Kirkland white socks (BEST socks EVER made - after 2 years they still feel BRAND f-ing NEW). They discontinued them but still sell Champion, which MIGHT last a week without getting holes IF you're lucky.
Very nice products, exceptionally good. The quality is uncompromised. Only thing I am unhappy about is there online prices of same product different from there individual store prices. So you have to be very careful when purchasing
Wide selection, good value, and consistency. This is the Costco experience every time. They've got the whole consumer journey mapped out like mad scientists. You're bound to walk away satisfied at this location. I recommend.
There will be some rush during evenings. US Costco has more variety, electronics than here. Given low rating because, the options of choices are less when it comes to stuffs other than food related items.
I HATE going to Costco because it’s a gong show. But this place is alright. Service is good and friendly. Parking is what you would expect but I drive a big truck and I find parking. I’ve been a member for years. Also had good experience with online ordering.
As usual, it provides a one stop shopping destination for pretty much everything you need around your house. But one piece of advice is, stay away from the delicacy department since the horror stories about the roast chicken and what not are all over the place!
Worst. Please ensure you have both English and other language speaking cashiers, I was new to Costco, I wanted to return a product, since I didnt know the process, I took the product inside to ask where can I return and the lady had no idea what I am asking.she was rude and didnt know how to talk.another girl came and helped. Just that its situated in Richmond it doesnt mean u guys hear folks who doesn't follow Canadian etiquette, please ensure u take attention before Canada gets a different name.
Overall the experience is just bad always crowded could never find parking space and the staff is very impolite. A staff by the name of andrew was so rude, while we were trying to get out payment figured out he was constantly yelling at us and telling us to hurry up, when we asked if we could wait and rejoin the line he loudly declined and insisted us to pay even though our credit cards kept getting declined, I bought three hundred dollars worth of groceries just to be yelled at by the cashier it wasnt a great experience
People say it's cheap, but I found it as a wrong statement. You can buy groceries at further low prices in the local farmer's shops and they wouldn't force you to buy things in bulk quantity. However, it is true that Costco has some stuffs that aren't available elsewhere.
They majorly pushed the credit card on us. We asked what the interest rate was and they took our membership card and gave it to the credit card guying telling him we wanted to sign up. We did not ever say we wanted to sign up. I told my friend and she said the same thing happened to her.
Same as any other Costco warehouse. This one is always busy and crowded though. There is almost always a line up going in nowadays. Line does move fast though. I personally prefer going to other Costco mainly just because of the crowds. I enjoy shopping at Costco at a less busy and hectic time/location.
Great prices if you are willing to deal with long lines and a bit of chaos. Long lines at Costco are the norm but this location is particularly busy. If you come here on the weekends, expect very long lines. Due to the traffic the store can be quite disorganized and dirty. This is by no fault of the staff but a byproduct of the sheer volume of customers.
I wouldn't come to this location if I had other options. It is often faster to drive downtown and pay for parking for a better experience.
Got everything you need / expect from a Costco. It can get quite crowded during weekend and parking can be difficult however. Try to come early or just before closing to avoid the long queues.
Just like most Costco 's big mess, with most people buying 1 or 2 items. Parking is as always a nightmare. I buy most my stuff at Walmart same price same quality- less headache. I used to go once a week to Costco, no more.
Been going to Costco and by far Richmond has the poorest servíce. The tire department attendant requires more product knowledge and service skills especially when dealing with phone call inquires. Better overall presence to support customers around the warehouse instead of the electronics department. Just a suggestion.
Way too busy and the prices aren't worth it. Just looking for a deal between Walmart, Superstore and Amazon I can always find a better price and more selection. I don't understand the hype, I waste half a day to do shopping I could do in less than 2 hours anywhere else. This is just unacceptable. This business ties up traffic on neighboring streets and is often backed up through the traffic light. Not worth it. You'd think with this sort of demand they'd open another location in Richmond, Delta or South Vancouver but no. I guess, why do business in the best interest of the customer and community if you don't have to.
Inside this Costco is the same great store. Outside I've never seen one with worse street access and parking. Getting in and out is always slow, not the place for a quick trip.
Typical Costco. However (main reason for rating), it is always very very busy and way too far overcrowded. Doors are supposed to open at 10am, but masses of people waiting outside so they open earlier. Today was 9: 40 am. This was a Monday. The parking lot is large, but it is full by 10: 30 am (even on outside street parking) and many cars just wait in the parking lanes for a car to leave. This blocks the whole parking lot and you get gridlock. It's just not worth the hassle. Tried last Thursday, same thing and did not get in. So going to another Costco even if have to drive further.
Lastly when asked Costco, why. They advised that this Costco, is the busiest Costco in ALL of North American! That's right ALL.
Found some items that I hadn't seen at our local costco. However I hate going to this costco, parking lot is a mess, and the majority of the patrons are rude. We had someone ram our cart while making their way through, no excuse us or sorry. I dont blame this on the corporation. None the less choose an alternative location would be my advice
I stood in line to pay for my $162 member and Carmen was busy signing up a member. There was two others there Del and Anita who could have helped us as we stood there for about 10 min. But they both choose not to. Once it was our turn Carmen helped us. There was one lady who popped up in line right after us. And guess what.she didn't have to wait one minute because Anita decided to finally help. I was so appalled by this customer service. Del and Anita need some retraining. Reminders why they have a job. I understand prices are low so why cant expect great customer experience but we should be able to get decent customers experience.
This morning I phoned to make sure that they the Richmond store had Ibuprofen 400 caplets, 300 in the bottle in stock. She assured me they did. I drove out there on a Saturday and had to park outside the lot and walk in as the parking lot was a kamikaze nightmare of people trying to get a spot. They DID NOT have the Ibuprofen 400 in hard caplets @ 300 per bottle. What they did have was the Ibuprofen gel caps 400 @120 per bottle. Now Costco is charging about the same amount for LESS THAN 50% of the old content. Once again being charged more for the same product. GRRRRR
