Courtenay Return-It Depot

The staff here are extremely hard workers, I bring my restaurant bottles to this location every 2 weeks and leave my cans tagged in the drop off area. For 3 years now I have noticed nothing but hard working, friendly staff that try their best to help everyone fast and in a timely manner. With the city growing, the Comox location being shut down, this location has taken on the whole valley and sometimes we just need to recognize the effort, and hard work these guys put in day in and day out, hats off to you guys! Thank you for your service!

I have tried calling but no one’s answering the phones, I’ve been calling for an urgent matter regarding an employee. I’m out of province and live in Alberta but grew up in courtenay, I remember every time I called someone would answer. But now no one does? Little weird, I’m leaving 4 stars because you aren’t a bad company whatsoever, more then awesome, just I’d like to see the phones being answered a little more often when they ring because you never know if it’s urgent or not

Very friendly and helpful staff and efficient recycling depot. I had to go twice in the same day and couldn’t believe how busy it was but I was able to be in and out quickly. There is a tip jar by the till and they got a generous well deserved gratuity.

I worked here and really enjoyed the service as well as my boss, I highly recommend attending this deopt, as it has and express machine with well payed and happy staff.

I am always blown away by the service at this depot. The staff go out of their way to help and are always polite and hardworking. It is not the most pleasant job so I hope they are receiving a living wage or more.

He will come right to your placer Pick up your returns E-transfer you your Money on the spot. He Used to work for the depots, so he to work for the Depots. So he very Knowledgeable.

The staff here are awesome Over the holidays it's been so crazy busy for them and they work like crazy to get everyone through as quick as possible. One fellow has worked there for quite some time and I look forward to seeing him. Thanks for doing what you do, staff!

Helpful staff. Easy in and out as you can set up an account and drop off a bag and they tally it for you.

The gentleman assisting in the recycling side today was exceptionally helpful, patient and polite. You can keep him!

For anyone that's been there this not news. It's dirty, smelly and understaffed. Truly a disgusting place. Bring rubber gloves and wear them.

The perfect spot to drop off recyclables, bottles, cans, old electronics, old paint, old small appliances, used light bulbs, etc, etc

Helpful staff in the household recycling area. Quick and easy to use Express return for empties.

Amazing! What they did for my mother. She is 78. She called the return it depot. And with in an hour. A young man from their, Had called my mother. And offered to stop over, on his way home from work, and helper her with the recycling. And he did. Not only did he sort and clean up all of her recycling. Then the young man mowed her lawn for her. She tried to pay him, but he wouldn't expect it. So mom told he to just keep the money from the cans. But the next day he had stop in and put it in her mail box.

The staff are very friendly and helpful! The place is very clean and smells good compare to other places:) highly recommended!

I have worked there for a minute now! I would like to give a 5 star review. To all the great customer's that Recycle with us. I would also like to give a 5 star review. To the owners of the depot. It's a family run business. And they truly treat us like family.

Its a good place run by great people, not paid enough for what they do. Can be extremely high work load at times. Customer service is excellent, its a return it depot and functions well. Without it our city would be a mess.

There were employees or others standing around in groups talking and laughing yesterday, March 20,2020. Manager needs to enforce social distancing. I’m a senior who shouldn’t have to fear recycling. Very selfish attitude. Normally would rate as excellent.

Props to the staff here for being so helpful and efficient at their work. Also thanks for extending your opening hours, it makes it more accessible to drop off our recycling when we don't have curbside pickup!:)

Consistent and awesome service! Even going the extra mile to help with community events. Can't recommend a better recycling business in the valley!
