Crescent Nail and Spa

Been before no problems. My son's girlfriend gave me a gift certificate to use. Asked numerous times, regular polish, yes that's what I want. Was taking forever to dry and I just wanted to leave, nails were smudged. Got home took forever to get it off, still have specks. Definitely not regular polish it's on so thick. Never going back.

Update I kept asking why was it so thick and I got no answers. And no one ever said to me, regular polish needs time to dry.
It certainly does not need half an hour with fans. I have had my nails done before.

An did an amazing job on my nails for my Christmas Vacation. Ive been going to this nail salon for over a year now. Almost everyone that works there has worked on my nails and toes at some stage. Each person has been kind, professional and always does an amazing job. My nails always last. Every time An does my nails, her presence just relaxes me, she's so gentle and calming when she's doing my nails I nearly fall asleep!

I'm not sure where these great reviews come from even the photos.if people think thats perfection good on them.all the pictures with rave reviews remind me of chicklets candies.the techs look like they picked nails that are too big for each nail bed. And the finished product looks like it's a week old you can see quite the space between the cuticle and the nail.

I went there yesterday before they applied color it looked decentz.after they applied it I realize how bad it looked, but I didn’t want to say anything after having just praised her for such a wonderful job I thought she did: after she apply color, it looked like white teeth. I showed my coworkers and aunt; they said it was ugly.i called them and they circled around on the phone and yelled at me and scolded me that i liked it.who yells at people.picture attached.if you want weird looking nails go there.not only my photos speak for themselves but the other photos.omg.to each their own I suppose.

Been coming here for a few months and I request to see Katy every time. She is literally so amazing and makes all my nail dreams come true! It took me so long to find a a nail salon that I’d want to go back to. I have a great visit every time!

I've gotten acrylic nails done here a few times and, not only are they beautiful, they also always last a long time and are evidently made with high quality products. In addition, the salon location is super convenient, the space is beautiful and clean, and the staff go above and beyond for you. Mia (IG: @nailsbymia.p) is an absolute wizard and has an amazing eye for detail and design. She literally makes whatever you want come to life. I'll never go anywhere else.

I have been coming for about 3 years now for acrylics and I have never had a bad experience! The staff are very kind and welcoming, and always do my nails perfectly. They are very meticulous and put a lot of effort into their work. <3

I had trouble finding a good place to do my pedicures (probably went to about 4-5 different salons until I went to crescent nail) now I’ve been coming here consistently for pedicures for about 2 years now. I’ve brought friends here as well and they too continue to book their appointments with crescent. Staff is amazing!

The best nail salon! The staff is so friendly, they have netflix playing on the tv for you to watch, and they overall do an amazing job on my nails every time. I recently moved further away from the salon and I still make the commute there just so I can get my nails done by the best & most kind people. Shoutout to Mia, she is so talented and makes my nails look beautiful every time:)

Friendly staff, efficient service, and fantastic nails! I have been going to this little gem in my neighborhood for years.

They usually are able to accommodate my last minute requests in a timely manner (1-2days). When I broke one of my gel nails that I had done the week before the got me in the next day and fixed it free of charge.

They truly care about offering a great customer experience and that you are happy with your service.

I bite my nails since I was a child and this was my first time having a manicure and pedicure.

I didn't know what type of nails would be better for my super short ones, and Tim was very patient and explained the whole process to me. I had a gel extension (colour 111) and they asked me if I wanted a nail art and I was really surprised to see that it was handmade. Tim painted these tiny snowflakes and the result was incredible.

I am very happy with the results and I really enjoyed the experience. Thank you to all the professionals:)

I recently visited the Crescent Nail for a manicure and pedicure and had an excellent experience. The staff were friendly and professional, and the services were done to perfection. The spa was clean and relaxing, and I appreciated the attention to detail. I would highly recommend this salon for manicures and pedicures.

***COMMENT TO THE RESPONSE: I was NEVER offered an appointment for a repair, the male person I was talking to said it's not their fault. When I said it doesn't make sense for hard gel to separate after a week, he said he might be able to give me 15% off for my next refill. That did not work for me, because I needed a repair, so they said they would see what they could do and call me back. Second time - NOTHING was offered. NONE OF THESE TIMES your staff called me back. You can respond to comments, but do not have a courtesy to call back. *** First time leaving a review for a business. I got hard gel nails twice in this salon, first time was ok, second time a few nails chipped off within a week, and one nail got a big chunk of gel separating on day nine after getting it done. I called the salon twice, they said they would see what they could do and call me back asap, but both times waited for several days, and they never called back. Poor customer service and disrespect.

Great service and very friendly and talented staff! Prices are very fair and very clean spa. We will be back!

I’ve been to Crescent twice now and both visits have been amazing! I’m extremely critical and don’t like trying new salons but due to conflict in my schedule I’m not able to go to my original salon. My go to person here is Tim, he’s the best!
Overall the staff are all nice as well.

I’ve been visiting Crescent for years. Definitely a hit or miss. If you’re late it’s a huge inconvenience for them. And they will be very disrespectful to you. (Mia) But if they’re late, you must wait despite your schedule. Parking is a hassle, yet very expensive (especially when they run behind your set appointment) Many times they rush your service, and is way overpriced than what is advertised on their website. If you are looking for a better salon HD NAILS SPA on West Broadway has free parking out back and amazing staff/work.

Katy is extremely talented and very kind. I showed her a picture of the design I wanted she replicated it exactly- if not better. The salon is very sanitary. Kent was amazing helping me get an appointment that worked to my convenience. Thank you so much, Crescent Nails!

Was visiting Vancouver for 2 days Looking at the great reviews decided to get a pedicure with regular polish
And shellac nails on hands. The lady who did my pedicure was really neat with her work I am very happy but I dont remember who did my shellac nails but they did such a terrible job- the finish as you can see if so bad you can see lumpy layers at the sides and bottom bad if that wasn't enough one of my nails already chipping and the rest I can feel is so heavy with the number of layers that if i pinch a nail it’ll leave a mark or even chip. Really really disappointed and now I need to go elsewhere to get them redone.

I used to really like crescent as it’s close to home and Kent is super nice and accommodating however my manicure experience everytime has been quite poor. My acrylic fill took almost 2.5 hours and there were so many places missing paint, paint all over my fingers after the appt when I left the salon, and I had to ask my nail tech to paint more as she wouldn’t paint the sides or the tips like I wanted it: (

I came today and had this guy do a new set of acrylic French.i was really impressed with how well he did them. I’ve been to many salons and normally you never get what you want but this place both times made me really happy.

Staff made sure i was comfortable. Nails came out just as my inspiration picture, thanks to Julie. I recommend bringing headphones to your appointment or else you’ll most likely be pretty bored.

Boyfriend and I had pedicures, no polish just simple clean and trim and it felt rushed and minimal effort was put in. This was our first time here and we will likely not return.

My absolute favourite place to go to! Crescent has alway surpassed my expectations each time. I personally always book with Katy, she is so sweet, gentle, and talented at nail art. I find the price for acrylics to be very reasonable with the outcome, which usually turns out amazing! Definitely recommend!

Clean, modern salon with professional, caring staff. They give the best manicures and pedicures - I don't trust anyone else with my nails. Kent takes great care of everyone, and Katy is hands-down my favourite! Cannot say enough great things about Crescent Nail & Spa and the team there. Highly recommend!

I love crescent so much! I’ve been a few times on and off in the past few years but recently I’ve started going consistently and I always love how my nails turn out (I get acrylics). The place is always so cozy and all the staff are super sweet! Tim and Thai are the two nail techs who I’ve had and they’re both amazing and so friendly. I honestly love this place and am always looking forward to going:)

Went in for gel/shellac manicure and a paraffin wax dip. Great service and quality results in a very reasonable amount of time! Excellent application and shaping on my irregular nails (some have a semi c-curve and they were mostly different lengths). Also really like the layout as it made it easy to go in with a friend and catch up!

Save your time and money and go to another salon. I've been to this nail salon a few times (4), and my latest experience was absolutely horrible. The nail tech doing my nails (Sophie) filed my acrylics too short. I asked her if she could take the tips off and re-glue them. She took the tips off and put on some new ones; before she could even cut the tips and ask what size I wanted, she told me she couldn't do my nails and that her colleague would and got up and left. I sat in my chair for 20 minutes, waiting. No one looked at me or came over. I asked the tech working next to me if anyone was going to help me. When Sophie said I would have to wait, mind you, at this point, she was doing another customer's nails. I left the salon with acrylic tips glued on. I called a Seven32 Nail Salon, and they asked me why my tips were just glued on and left that way. I let them know what happened, and they did a fantastic job finishing my nails. I also called crescent nails and asked to speak to their manager; they said she was on mat leave and couldn't help.

Love this place. This is my 3rd set/infill. Love the ombré/coloured acrylic as I don’t need gel on top that can open chip or fade. Hannah and one other girl are great at it. Have gotten a lot of compliments.

I get shellac pedis here all the time and they can almost always get me in same day and the service is always excelent.

I have been coming to Crescent for 5+ years. They changed ownership but service is consistently good and courteous, the space is clean and pretty, and prices have remained the same. The only time I wasn't happy was my last visit, when my cuticles weren't done properly, but when I went back the next day they fixed it right away and Han did an amazing job. Recommend!

They told me i could pick up to three colors then at checkout charged $5 for three colors.they did an okay job.the place smells strongly of acetone, and they seated a customer right beside my massage chair with no social distancing or plexiglass.

Over 2 days 2 nails snapped, got fixed. Another 2 nails snapped. Went back the following week to get fixed when I had time
Unhelpful and rude. Told me I should be paying even though it wasn't the nail it was the shellac and acrylic that broke so in no way my fault. I've broken nails myself before which has been my fault so I would know.
Over 2 weeks 6 nails broke and got air bubbles in one? Shellac peeling also
So unhelpful and rude when I asked them and said I need a refill. Who needs a refill after 2 weeks and I had to go back twice to get 4 nails fixed. When the last 2 broke I gave up. Not wasting my time. Rude when I wrote to them.

Also to add: I had been a loyal customer to them for months with no issues so very put off the place after this experience

The nail technician gave me exactly the look I was going for. My nails came out super neat and pretty; by far the best manicure received!

I always come here to get a basic gel manicure. Really recommend Lynn, she always does a very good job at cleaning the cuticles. The prices are also very reasonable. Always very satisfied!

Went to this place for about 4 times. Waited an hour before my manicure started (had appointment)! Horrible service, girls are rushing, not accurate! I had a coupon for free mani and pedi and they still wanted to charge me extra $60 with no reason, receptionist doesn’t speak English at all so it’s hard to communicate! Don’t suggest this place.

Just three stars for good customer service but tad bit disappointing mani. I had on gel nails so they need to be removed and buffed. When the "cleaning" was done. I noticed that my nails felt like they had grooves. Lumps of my previous gel left. Nails felt like an uneven terrain. I know they wont be that obvious with a another gel coat on top so.still, tap on the back for the tech for trying. So major concern/feedback would be to improve nail care, not just the "polish".

Always have a great experience here! I come sporadically, but I make my appointments in advance and get confirmation the day of by the young man who seems to oversee the spa. They call me ahead if they’re a little busier and ask if I can come a few minutes after, which is fine with me. When I arrive, I’m always offered water to drink.

I always get a different technician working on my nails (my go-to is a regular manicure with a matte finish, but I’ve had shellac and acrylic/gel as well) and they’re always super accommodating, patient, and gentle. I make a point to be clear with what I want, and they always double check the colour, nail shape, and length are okay with me before they move on to the next step.

TIP: Be vocal about what you want. It may seem rude to budge in as they are working on your nails, but if you don’t speak up - they will assume you are fine with it. Don’t be shy! The ladies are all super friendly here and clearly want to make sure YOU are happy with YOUR nails.

Girls very friendly. Had an appointment at 6 o clock, but started to get my nails done at around 6: 20. My lady was very precise, and it seemed to look good, but I was shocked when I took a closer look after. Half of the cuticle was left, polish was very uneven and bubbly. Please take a look at photos and be the judge.photos are from the day I got it and from the day after.

Worst experience ever! The girl working on my nails was rude to begin with. She took TWO HOURS to do an acrylic fill, she did an uneven, rushed job and when i would ask her to fix certain things, she’d either ignore me or straight up say no! She consistently cut the skin around my nails, and again, when I complained and said that it hurt she just looked at me and continued to file away without any apology. When i asked to speak with a manager, she said that the manager is too busy to speak to me, when the manager was just sitting behind the reception desk. After she ‘finished’ doing my nails i walked over to the manager and voiced my concerns and she offered me 5% off! What a joke, considering my nails looked like a 5 year old had painted them.
Stay away if you actually want a decent job done on your nails.

I loved my first manicure from Tai! She wasn't available when I went back in for a manicure though so I asked for Katie but instead got Kim (only realized this midway during the manicure). Only got my manicure done on Saturday and already my shellac manicure is chipping and is becoming dull, there are small visible bubbles, my cuticles weren't removed well I have marks on my nails from a regular pen, and I did not get the nail shape I wanted. I've had lighter shellac shades before so the colour is not the issue. Loved my first manicure! But based on the quality of this manicure.am not impressed. First manicure lasted 3 weeks, 2nd manicure here hasn't even lasted a week.

I went for pedicure. It was a busy day and understandably the service was subpar. I picked a color and all of sudden they added extra 5 dollars because it was supposedly longer lasting. Well, I see chipping just at the same rate. This type of info should be disclosed before clients start the service. Overall it was an average experience.

Great prices for acrylic nails. I love that everytime I go they have Friends playing on the T. V's. I only book with Katy!

The utensils that were used were dirty, my nails were pretty crooked, not the same length as the other and the shape wasn’t what I wanted it to be

Went for a wax, while the woman who helped was very nice, I left highly disappointed in the quality of her work, particularly for such a price! I will need to go to another place to finish the job. NOT RECOMMENDED.

* I don’t know what type of cheap wax they use I have never had such a terrible reaction from wax! EVER. I’ve been using different salons for years! I would NEVER HAVE PAID if I knew. Absolutely horrified with my experience.

Tried to stick with this salon.went several times. The owners are non communicative, do not speak English and never reply to requests via email. Manicure was not acceptable given polish had not been properly prepared and already had been in the salon for 2 hours so had no time to redo. Left my glass case there and a professional firm would have called their valued client to say they would hold on to it. I am gone!

They are really professional and friendly, especially Katy. Compare to other nail salons the price is cheaper but the quality of products definitely is better. It’s really worth it to try.

I've been here enough times to tell you that they are pretty disorganized, I've been made to wait 30-45 minutes before getting started, even though I had an appointment.

On weekends this place is a gong show, everyone's everywhere. The technicians will often jump chairs or leave you mid-treatment to go start or finish another client.

Are the prices right? Yes. I got a full set of acrylic nails with a manicure done for $55 - the acrylics lasted 7 weeks, with one fill mid-way for $30. However, I was there for over 2 hours - a technician left me mid-treatment to go start a pedicure for someone else. No one tells you why they are leaving and when they will get back to you. You just sit there and wait.

The application and shape of my acrylics were also not perfect or consistent - but for the price and the length of time they lasted I was satisfied.

You need to know your prices because they will overcharge, not always intentionally, sometimes they just will assume one thing when it's another - so you need to be aware so that you don't end up paying for fees you shouldn't.

When one of my acrylics finally did come off, I decided to stop in on my way home to get the rest removed. I was a little mortified at the removal process. The girl didn't even soak my nails, she just buffed them down and then ripped off the acrylic with another acrylic. On my thumb she ended up ripping some of the real nail with it. Needless to say, my nails underneath are not in a good way right now.

Honestly, not a bad place - but some very obvious flaws. Spend your time and money at your own risk.

Waited 20 mins (with an appointment booked) and the nail tech was horribly in experienced. She was using the incorrect setting for her drill for my acrylic removal so it was burning my skin/nail and it was repeatedly (5 times) and she took one hour for just the removal. Uneven nail shape as well! Absolute fail for a 4.3 rating salon.

Today was my first time getting a gel combo of manicure and pedicure at this nail salon. During my appointment, the girls did pay attention to detail and listened carefully to what I wanted for my shape and lenghth of my nails. I really loved the quality and ofcourse their massage skills were amazing. My receipt at the end was $71.40 (tax included) and plus some tips. I will be sure to come back!

The lady I got was named Le, and she didn’t seem very professional and lacked practice. Little attention to detail, as my nail shape was completely off, and the french tips I asked for were very uneven. Her service was rough overall, and didn’t seem to understand what I wanted even after I explained to her. I would recommend someone else if you were to come here. Only reason why I’m giving them two stars is because my friends have received better service, and they were able to take us on a walk in. Other staff seemed friendly, however still was an unpleasant experience.
