I took my Caravan to Crompton to have 2 new tires installed.when I picked it up I found they had unilaterally installed 4 new tires.not what I wanted but I was given a small discount.so I left the shop with a feeling of being ripped off and yet also feeling assured that I now have a new set of tires that should be problem free for many years.after a couple months I noticed the tires were not holding air.one would go flat 2 others would have slow leaks. I contacted Crompton and there response was that I must have a nail stuck in the tire and I would be charged for the repair.any reputable tire shop would repair a new tire.no charge. I took my van to a REAL tire shop.no puncture.the air was leaking at the bead.not properly installed.cost me $35.still have 2 tires that need to be pumped up every month.when I noticed the tires wearing prematurely I decided to rotate them.only to find that the lug nuts were hammered on so tight with an air impact gun that I could not remove them.so I will have to go back to a REAL tire shop to have the lug nuts loosened and possibly have to pay for broken studs.not impressed with Crompton auto care.if they cant even install a tire.dont trust them with any thing.update.after 2 months all 4 tires are flat.spoke to Shuck? At Crompton.the tire manager.he suggests that the valve stems may be defective.crompton charged me for 4 new valve stems.he does not guarantee the valve stems.not to mention the fact that his extremely unqualified employee pounded the lug nuts on with an impact gun so tight it will cost me another$100 to repair the damage.these people have absolutely no interest in resolving the matter.what can I say? There are other auto shops in the area.stay away from this one.my Response to "THE OWNER". I dont want money. I just want to go to the gas station to top off my gas tank and not have to fill my tires with air.every week.bring my van for you to see? Whats to see Mr OWNER.a slow leak? I do not trust you or your staff. I will not bring my van back to crompton. Update.took my van to a real mechanic in a real trustworthy shop in walnut grove.they may not Tune your car in a Minit.they are a little slow, But professional.took 2 men an hour to replace the lug nut/stud that was pounded on with an impact gun at crompton.with an oil change they rotated my tires.for free.and closely inspected all 4 tires. 3 have bead leaks and one has a leaking valve stem.so another $100 I have to pay for Cromptons.lack of professionalism.use of under qualified personnel.to say the least!

If i say fraud to them that would also be a small word for them.
I don’t how are they surviving in the market but then I remember they are doing fraud with the public as i read the reviews right now so many of them have faced problems just because of them
In my case they didn’t even did service for my car and charged me $100 by saying that they did inspection of the car and this all happened because I refused to get done some other works of my car from them and there was a person I didn’t know either employee or the owner even said that go and find some other to get your work done

Extremely incompetent. Purchased new tires. Just been 6 months and 3 of them have been damaged already. They have refused to help or accept the low quality of their tires.

Have been going to Crompton's since 2017, will not go any longer. Horrible communication, subpar work, laziness, and exorbitant costs have pushed me away. Most recently my water pump was leaking, and it took 3 days to be finished. When I got my truck back I noticed it was still leaking, they put the bolts in the wrong place and attempted to mask their error by using washers which didn't seal the pump instead of disassembling it and doing it properly. I only knew of this because I took my truck to a new shop for a second opinion. When confronted about the issue they deferred fault onto me. I have spent over $10,000 at Crompton's over the course of 6 years with two different vehicles and have seen this place become a shady, poorly run, scam shop that cannot be trusted to do work properly on time. These are my experiences, use at your own risk.

Experienced staff at cromptons. They did brake job on my car and took very less time. Very reasonable price.

Really good and helpful staff/mechanics. I went to dealer first for transmission concern and dealer could’nt find anything and told me to get a new transmission. But at crompton’s they found some broken wires and fixed them at very less price. Really good service. Saved my thousand’s of dollars.

If I could rate them 0 stars I would. Do not go there. We brought our RV in because our brakes got stuck while it was in storage. The diagnosis was that the 4 brakes (pads, discs, etc) needed to be changed. It costs us around 3600$ but we left the shop happy we had brand new brakes. About 2-3 weeks later, we had to pump the brakes every time we wanted to brake. If we didn’t pump them, it wouldn’t brake. We went to another garage because we were on the road and the mechanic said the brake was put in the wrong way, the line hadn’t been bled and basically said the job wasn’t done properly. He said the person who installed our new brakes shouldn’t be qualified for that. We tried to call Crompton’s multiple times to get a refund for part of the job (it costs us 1000$ to get it fixed). They said the supervisor would call us back, never did. I sent multiple emails, no answer. They even offered us a discount for next time we would come to their shop, like we would ever go back there.

Save yourself some trouble, and DO NOT GO THERE!

So, my sons car was shaking when he put on the breaks. Took it to Cromptons. They changed management yet again. So they said my sons oil was 2000 km overdue Not True, he barely puts on any km. Fine I said. They said we can change the rotors and clean the solenoid and see if that works for $500. No it didn't work. They said it would need $2000 of work as it was missing. I said no, we have put enough money into that car, we will come get it. They were like, no, he shouldn't drive it, it could break down and moment. We went and got it anyway. A very nice guy from work came to look at it. He replaced a sensor that cost $100 bucks. Took him a few hours but for $300, it was fixed. These guys can not be trusted. DO NOT TAKE YOUR VEHICLES THERE. I was a wreck trying to find out how we could afford 2 grand. Never, ever will I go there again.

Great shop, great staff, always give good and helplful advice and have great prices on tires. Highly recommended!

Trustworthy, knowledgeable, friendly, helpful and make things easy to understand, me and my cars and family love this place! That was 4 years ago.since then this place has new owners.
Not nearly as good or caring or helpful or thorough. Took my car for oul change.

They said just residue.
Ive never had that ever before with an oil change. Motor came back filthy.not sure what they did. Did not check tire pressure.even though i told them car was sitting over winter. Tires needed air. When i brought it back to recheck oil and tires.they NOW Tell me brakes need work. How much? Ummmm maybe 25% left. Ummm? Maybe?
Are they guessin? And why were they fine last week when u did a full inspection? You drove 1000km since. Yes could i drive 100km each day to n from work and i moved houses. This is why i brought it in last week to avoid all of this and time i did NOT have to come back. They havf no printers to print out any docs to show work or what they think needs doing. They have no email to even do that. This place is not even close to the previous owners standards. Really unsatisfied unhappy and no one even cared one bit. Just another business that is FULL of guys that think they are just TOO COOL to deal with paying customers. Hope no one gives these guys their business.they do not deserve your hard earned money.

I have been there a couple of times, and they have always been very nice and helpful. Very honest and trustworthy as well

Brought my car in with a squeak in my wheel. They tried to tell me I had to spend 1200$ for all new front end suspension or it would keep getting worse. I knew this wasn’t the case and so I took it to Midas and had the problem fixed for under 200$ And had NOTHING to do with my suspension. Their mechanic also stripped one of my lugs/stud and said nothing about it. Would not recommend this place for any diagnostics.

Totally happy with everything about this shop. Repair was done as promised, in a very professional and timely manner - couldn't be happier. We now carry their card for future problems, in the event car needs to be towed for service.

Great experience here. I was stranded down the road with a flat and they drove out to me to pick up my tire, repair it, and then drove it back to me all within a few hours. Thank you for your speedy service, flexibility, and generosity!

UPDATE - after seeing my initial review, they gave me a call and said they'd have it done quite quickly, and that they'd give me a small break on the bill. I appreciated that greatly, and I'm updating my rating accordingly.

Their service was so good that im making the effort to leave a review. These guys took such good care of my truck. Great prices/very professional. Got the job done before i expected and. Go here If you need work done to your vehicle. Ask for Gopi. He's honest and hard working.

Nothing special.

Also one of the mechanics argued driving at 1000 rpm in 4th gear uphill is not bad for the engine or manual transmission after I called him out on it in the test drive so you be the judge of that

If you have a trusted mechanic just go there

These guys are excellent. On time and under budget. Thorough and concise. Showed me everything done and what else to expect. Best experience I have had with a Auto Shop in more than 10 years. I highly recommend these guys. They are my go to shop.

They were honest and easy to deal with helped me out big time when I installed some parts incorrectly, definitely recommend.

I needed to get my oil changed, tire rotation, brake inspection etc for warranty. I have taken it to the dealer for the last two years. Decided to try Cromptons as they are down the road. Saved about $100. I would recommend these guys.

I randomly called Crompton's when the regular mechanical shop I'd been using seemed to be rising their prices quite aggressively. The quote from Crompton's was in the range I expected to pay so I gave them a try. They did the brake job for their quoted estimate without upselling. We had to do a couple of followups given some small issues and each was handled professionally to my absolute satisfaction. I've since had several other repairs handled by them and they continue to impress. Very glad I'd made the effort to get another opinion.

Great place I was referred to them by BC Tire. I then referred 3 friends and they we really impressed. Save big.

Good work done and very attentive to customer needs and the final bill. Will be back when I need more work done on my class C RV.

I recently had an issue with an inspection I had payed to have done by this shop. Turns out it wasn’t the shops fault but the previous owners.the owner of cromptons has reached out to me personally to make sure the situation will be resolved. Thank you Gopi for the great customer service!

I took my vehicle to Crompton’s for a pre purchase inspection on a vehicle I was planning to purchase. After their findings I was given a full print out of everything and was gone through everything in detail by Gopi, the Manager at Crompton’s. He explained everything to me and after purchasing the vehicle I took it back and got Crompton’s to fix the issues they found.

After scheduling my appointment over the phone, I dropped off the vehicle after hours and dropped the key in their secure key box and received a call later that next day from Gopi stating everything is good to go.

Their service, professionalism, and great pricing will keep me coming back in the near future with my other vehicles. They also gave me a quote on tires while I was there and they were super competitive and better than other quotes I’ve gotten from others.

If I could give Crompton's more than 5 stars I would! Crompton's has the best service and prices around town. The owner provides you with all the information that is needed for your vehicle. They give great attention to details while providing the best service! I highly recommend everyone to go to Crompton's for any of your vehicle needs!

Yet the staff are very nice I personally would not recommend going to this place they ruined my engine they charged me for stuff that were never fixed I ended up taking my vehicle to a Dodge dealership to have it inspected after they charge me for a brand new engine that apparently I was broken before I got there but my vehicle ran and drove there they ended up dropping one of their equipments into my engine and charging me for it I would not recommend your daughter's your wives are any woman's car to come in here they use it against you and charge you for work that they have never put any effort into fixing.

If I could give more than five stars I would Cromptons auto is the best experience I've ever had with a mechanic. I've taken my vehicle into to multiple shops this year and had my words dismissed and mechanics mansplain and diagnose non existent problems. Or fix damage caused by underlining issues yet not listen when I explain they're must be a problem which caused my radiator to crack for example. I read a review saying Cromptons prices were higher before I had visited then but TBH the prices were very reasonable compared to other local places I've visited. If anything they were cheaper and they're fast. They have GREAT customer service which isn't always common in mechanic shops. I wish I came across this shop years ago but I highly highly recommend. Especially as a safe place for women. At no point did anyone try and upsell anything unnecessary or try and guilt I'll let me into spending more money than I was able to. I felt respected and valued as a customer.

I am sad to have to give this review, however after several years of working with Cromptons I am extremely disappointed. Yes they have nice staff, but it is the little things that matter.

Cromptons has had a rewards program for several years. Unfortunately after around March of this year they have stopped crediting customers reward accounts with their points. I have several invoices from March till now that show we have earned points, but no points have been credited. The hold music at a Cromptons even still advertises their reward program, but it doesn’t exist. I have discussed this with the staff and new management to no avail. I have been placated that something would be resolved, but it hasn’t. No serious attention has been given to this.

They obviously don’t care enough about their customers to keep their word about their own program. If your going to offer a rewards program maintain it. If your choosing to stop it, then fulfill the commitments and properly stop the program. They have done neither.

I will stop bringing my fleet of vehicles to them and instead find another provider who keeps their word.

They got our RV sorted eventually, but they were slow and laid back. Very very helpful though. They did get it sorted.

Unfortunately, after the new owners took over and Ben left, the place has become a cash and grab. Ben left for all the right reasons, much respect for him. Money doesn't buy loyalty, but honesty buys respect.

Excellent shop, will be returning.

I had some lowering springs installed here and my car looks and handles considerably better now.

There was a small hiccup, but the shop was quick to take ownership of the problem and sort it right out for me.

True character is shown by how you handle issues when they arise.

Quality service at excellent prices. I took my car in for an oil change and checkup, they called to give me an update on the condition right away and to let me know of any other recommended repairs. Very personable and friendly over the phone, explained things very clearly and didn't apply any forced sales pressure or make me feel uncomfortable.
The service invoice I received was very detailed and easy to read, with notes about what they observed, what they completed/adjusted, and future recommendations.
Felt very at home and comfortable, staff was friendly, and the entire waiting area and service shop was clean. Felt as if they treated my car the way they would treat their own.
Definitely recommend, I could see the dedication and effort they put in to make me feel comfortable, very happy to finally find an auto service shop I can trust

Phoned around for prices and these guys were the best! They got me in and out fast. They showed me everything that was wrong and what could wait. I fully trust these guys and have tons of friends and family that use them. Ben is so helpful and always takes the time to make sure the customer leaves happy.

Wanted to charge over $230 to change two pulley belts (serpentine belt). So I went there and picked up my car for the $120 diagnostic fee and after watching a 10min youtube video and spending $25 on belts I did it myself in 15-20min.

$130 an hour shop rate WOW Gerry’s Automotive in Abbotsford charges $90 dollars an hour and has a 1 year Warranty on all work Performed much better deal I hear the Service Manager Ben is not a very nice GUY treats his employees like Dirt

Thanks for all the work you guys do. The staff are always happy when I’m there and they always make sure we leave happy. Great deals on tires and other services. They show us pictures and videos of our vehicles so there is never a trust problem. Thanks again guys.

My family brought the family car in for the first time for a seasonal maintenance. Good services and staff! We would recommend it for maintenance services in the neighbourhood!

I broke down on the side of the freeway. I called a tow, but all of the shops were closed so they stored it overnight, and were planning to tow it to Cromptons the next morning. Only it didn’t end up at the shop until the following afternoon. Ben from Cromptons was so helpful. He stayed in communication with me throughout the day once we realized the tow company was taking a long time to get my car there. After it was fixed and I drove all the way back from the Okanagan to pick it up, it was a great surprise to find that my car had been cleaned! Amazing service and a very affordable price. Don’t think twice before hiring these guys!

Ben and Ralph have been great to deal with. I'd highly recommend them to anybody needing any car repairs!
