It has always been consistently excellent.
I just hope that the uptown kiosk would be expanded to a shop with sitting area.

Since leaving New Zealand I have struggled to find anywhere that has baked goods or dairy that is equal to our little green country.
French bakeries in France obviously have left an impression and bettered New Zealand, but, @Crust, my gosh, I can honestly say, and you can tell by my lengthy review, the joy and taste you brought is, the best I have ever had! What an absolute treat! Can’t wait for more and can’t wait to come back.

One time I went to buy my fav rocky road treat - sold out: (I left disappointed, and suddenly there was a tap on my shoulder. 'I found one hiding. It's yours. No charge' she smiled. Made my day:)

When I’m in Uptown it’s hard to resist buying a coffee and lychee danish from Crust Bakery. It’s phenomenal!
2 years later: I've now tried tons of their baked goods and they are ALL so good! How can this be? Magic
Pro tip: show up before noon to snatch what you like, this location sells out pretty fast.

Girl with long stringy hair/tattoos at the counter is rude to customers. And she should at least shower before coming to work. At least try! Never coming here again! Mogo042988 worst customer service. Management to blame for (doesn’t seem) lack of training their employees in customer service. Seriously for the price of items at least train staff.

They have the best chocolate tart in town! I also love its fruit tart made with fresh fruits and creamy filling with the right amount of sweetness~ Service is always great at the location.

The staff at Uptown are welcoming and friendly. The baked goods are truly delicious and unique. Thank you Crust bakery.

Review:
I recently visited Crust Bakery located in Uptown, Victoria, Vancouver Island, and I must say, it was a delightful experience! The moment I stepped up to the window, I was greeted by a warm, eclectic, and a relaxed inviting atmosphere from staff, that set the perfect tone for my visit.

The savoury pastries at Crust Bakery are absolutely mouthwatering. From the flaky crusts to the delectable fillings, each bite was a burst of flavor. The quality of the ingredients used truly shone through, making these pastries a savory delight.

However, the show stopper was the London Fog cheesecake (photo attached). This unexpected creation took my taste buds on a journey I never anticipated. The blend of the rich cheesecake with the delicate hints of Earl Grey and vanilla was simply extraordinary. The balance of flavors was impeccable, and it left me wanting more.

Aside from the exceptional food, the staff at Crust Bakery were friendly and attentive. They took the time to explain the different menu options, repeat our order since it was little noisy from the beautiful central ground fountain nearby (photo attached), and made sure I had everything I needed. The level of service I received was top-notch and added to the overall enjoyable experience.

If you find yourself in Victoria, Vancouver Island, I highly recommend visiting Crust Bakery. Their savory pastries are delicious, and the London Fog cheesecake is a true masterpiece. Trust me, your taste buds will thank you!

I finally got a chance to try it! The lychee one is amazing. Many Chinese recommend it on some Chinese social media so I follow their recommendation…… oh yeah, and now it's my turn. Try it here!

Had the lychee rosewater danish back in August of 2021. Lychee is one of my favourite fruits and the danish didn't disappoint. Pricey, but very delicious.

I meant to come here more often but unfortunately with the pandemic and all I wasn't able to. Hope to come back and try more good when I'm in Victoria next.

Their Sausage rolls are probably the best in town.
They sell out within hours in the morning.

Coffee is great, the bakery goods can be excellent, but suffer from a lack of consistency, once every 3or4 visits they can be over cooked but in general they're excellent!

Crust Bakery is my favorite place to get sweets in Victoria. I love love it because they have a lot of choices of bakery and the most important thing is it is not too sweet and always fresh. It was a long line-up but it’s worth it. I wish one day they will open in Vancouver. Highly recommended.

Close to home and favorite bakery for anytime of the day. Their crust tarts are to die for. Creme` brulet is amazing.

OMG.like I've died and gone to heaven! We had a few savories there for breakfast and sweets to bring home. Everything was excellent!

I can't speak for the product, but they're definitely inconsiderate parkers. Thousands of parking spots at this mall yet they park in an EV charging space.

I only got this place for the lychee and rosewater Danish. They are out of this world, totally recommend it. I have tried few other stuff and they have never been disappointing

We tried all the tarts that were available at the time - think the blueberry cherry tart is my favourite, it isn’t too sweet and cheese isn’t too dense, which is my preference. The cinnamon pear tart is quite good as well, it seems more like a cake inside the tart, but I like the taste of it

The pastries are are great, but when you ask for an Americano & pay for an Americano, but get drip coffee from an urn, you don’t really wanna go back.

My friend brought me a few things from this kiosk and they were delicious, I came here next day to have this delicious experience again. I find this is more European style pastries and it’s the best.

This place is so addicting! Dangerously delicious mochas and hot chocolate. Friendly staff and gluten free goodies!

Very friendly staff every time I go. Delicious Americano and brewed coffee. My favourite are the almond croissants, which are super rich and moist inside. I usually eat it in portions throughout the day. We've also enjoyed their blueberry pastry, a cherry pistachio (I think that's what it was), and the almond twist. Everything is fresh, super crisp, and flavourful. Great first choice amongst the coffee options in Uptown.

Went here for the first time today and got a much needed snack and tea before our shopping. The butter tart was sweet and delicious and the feta, tomato pastry was full of flavor and fresh! The staff was so nice and will definitely be back for more.

Really nice, patient service but my Americano Misto tasted weak: (More milky than coffee/espresso taste, so I was disappointed by that. Had a pumpkin gingerbread tart & that was tasty and pretty.

This location is just good as the one downtown. I was going to get some other desserts from other shop in Uptown but can’t keep my eyes off the Ganaches from Crust Bakery. Always felt happy just to look at these amazing pastries. I just wanted to buy one of everything. The chicken sandwiches looked delicious, I would come back for it next time.

Crust Bakery is like no other. The owners are local to the island and the friendliest people you could ever meet. The staff have exceptional customer service and always give a smile! Every time I stop by, I am treated like family. Not to mention; their baked goods are to die for.so delicious! Big appreciation to Crust Bakery!

This is Crust with no shortcuts. Same amazing bread and pastry selection as their downtown location. And they are stocked up well enough that there is still stuff left after 2pm.

Well this is just plain dangerous. Crust, one of my favorite stops is now in my work Neighborhood here in Uptown. All the goodies you'd expect from downtown is now even closer to many of us. The croissants are a headline grabbers with the sausage rolls and ham, cheese, and tomato croissant all on the top of my list. If you need something on the sweeter side the Vanilla cronut is my choice. The outdoor location is easy to access and 'Covid friendly'. Coffee and regular breads are also available.service is great too. A must stop.
