Bought 14 tart with 18% tips and asked fo one bag! Server said “no tip is tip, still you need to buy bag with 25 cents” rude!

I walked in today to purchase 2 pastries as they smelled so good. The pastries were $9 and I wanted to pay with what i had in my pocket since it was my only money at the moment and I really wanted to try those pastries. There were 3 cashiers actively working (the other 2 lady were really nice and understanding) and there was not a huge line, 6-7 more people at max. The cashier said they do not accept rolled coins and I said why not? Would you accept it if I took it out of its paper as it is still money? She said no, we do not and I insisted on why they wouldn’t and said since it is out of its paper now, it is not rolled coins anymore, do you need me to help you count them. Her response was you don’t need to be rude (when I was not?) and I responded I will appreciate you accepting my cash. She took the money to the counter on the back, turning her back against me and I asked her do you mind counting with me so I can also see (which I hold every right to!). Slightly aggresively she turned to me, put the money in front of me and left to call a supervisor. The supervisor came and said “why dont you go to the bank? , because of your attitide we will not accept your money but you can have the pastries for free”. So at the end I left with 2 delicious pastries and $9 on my pocket. As ridiculous as this situation was I want the management & ownership to be aware that it should not be so easy to hand free food outside simply because staff finds it inconvenient to count coins. Clearly I won’t be a returning customer! Their staff needs to know as long as you carry a safe & cash in the back, they ARE to accept cash in any form!

Given all the great reviews and at $5/item, I expected more than to have three mediocre experiences here. The hazelnut praline and apple croissants were fantastic and generous enough to share, and the gingerbread cookies are the perfect crispiness outside and fudginess inside. Unfortunately the tarts were awful - the pecan bourbon tart wasn’t a pecan tart at all, but rather just a plain butter tart with four pecans on top; the pistachio tart filling was tasty but completely runny and thrown into the box so it splattered everywhere; and the tart shells were bland and tasteless. Some of the other items (pumpkin gingerbread tart, almond twist, lychee rosewater tart) just don’t have enough flavour to them - they’re not bad but for $5 a piece, they should be excellent. All of the items look beautiful but unfortunately the quality is very hit or miss, and we’re not likely to return often to a place where we pay premium prices but end up disappointed more often than not.

This is the bakery with the huge lineup outside. Don't worry, it moves pretty fast. I go next door for the sausage rolls, but honestly, they're good here as well. Now that I got that out of the way, I come here for a few really specific pastries that are just AWESOME. The bread is hot and fresh and I usually try something new, whatever's piqued my curiosity from the window and I have yet to be disappointed. Crust is awesome. Cute little box they give you also makes it look like a sweet and thoughtful gift if you're trying to make someone special feel special.

The best bakery in Victoria. Everything is excellent, particularly their croissants and dinner buns.

Fantastic baked goods! Might have to wait outside to get in but it’s worth it. Sandwiches, pastries, loaves of bread, and of course coffee! I got an oat vanilla latte and one almond croissant. The staff there are super lovely, I adore the little heart drawn on my to go cup. Not much space to hang out inside due to how busy it is but within walking distance to many nice spots by the water.

A ton of sweet selections. Savoury breakfast options seem to sell out early.
Quality is amazing.
Suggest take-out as the store inside is tiny and packed with limited seating.

Good fruit bread, you can only get it on Fridays. It only last for (3) three day I our house tells you how good it is.

The array of pastries (and also a line) drew me into Crust whilst walking in Victoria. So many sweet and savoury choices available, but was recommended to try the pistachio tart. It was so good - I was only in Victoria for a day trip or else would have gone again - highly recommended.

Possibly one of the best croissants I’ve ever had …! Delicious. Looking forward to coming back and trying the cruffin!

Loved this cute little bakery, which gave off the neighborhood vibes and not a big box name bakery/coffee shop. It is a little small on the inside, so just plan accordingly if a large crowd comes inside and you were planning to dine inside. All of the pastries were to die for, and the coffee was also delicious.

Baked burrata is delicious, and the first batch in the morning is even better.
Other items are average.

Lovely little spot for savory or sweet pastries. Great attention to detail on each baked good - creative combination of ingredients to form well balanced flavors. Would visit again!

Found a great pastry shop by accident on a day visit to Victoria. Fresh tasty pastries, great selection, cozy little shop, friendly staff.

I absolutely loved the salami sandwich/panini. The bread was so soft and crunchy and the ingredients that they put into are very juicy.
Chai tea latte very strong good flavors.

Delicious pastries. Expensive but you get exactly what you pay for. If you enjoy sweets this is a good place to satisfy the cravings.

What a outstanding shop! Pastries were delicious and probably the best I've have in Victoria. Staff was also very hospitable.

My first visit was 2 Tuesdays ago, I was looking for some sweet and savory pastries. It was also after lunch, so my expectations were lower cause most have sold out by now. Maybe i lucked out, but I was able to get a Farmer Bens breakfast pastry and 2 sour cherry and 1 blueberry pastries. Wow, they were awesome and gone so fast. I've been back this past Tuesday for a repeat, and it was even better, mainly cause i was earlier and everything seemed warmer and even fresher. This will probably be my new Tuesday morning tradition, cant wait to try other things as well. Also, for a small space, everything seems very well organized. The staff have all been very helpful, welcoming, and courteous. There is a very efficient flow here and also very clean. Thank you.

This place is incredible. Best baked goods and treats and sandwiches and coffee in Victoria. Definitely worth stopping by for a snack.

Interesting varieties of pastries — the croissant type pastries (including the kouign amann I had) were a little more on the bready side rather than properly layered and flaky, but the flavor was good!

Awesome little bakery place in Victoria, tons of creative and flavorful bakeries and sandwiches. Staff were super nice and friendly, but be mindful of lines and wait time (they are just too good and the whole town knows).

Were on our way to Tim Hortons for coffee and got lucky to find Crust on the way. So happy we stopped here. The pastries are amazing.both the sweet and the savory options were out of this world. Sat outside on a little bench outside and enjoyed the great weather with our breakfast. Was a nice way to start the day.

Best in town. I have gone through their whole menu and most of the things taste too damn good.
