Cumberland Dental Centre

Staff is friendly, service is good, office is clean and they seem well organized. I've had several dentists and hygienists at this office over the years and they've all been excellent.

Louise was a great hygienist. She saw that I was always comfortable and took care re, any pain. I saw a new Dentist this visit. Dr. Willis is great. I was pleased with her. Very nice, good beside manner. Thanks Cumberland Dental.

Dr. Lamb is amazing. So gentle, quick, and experienced. I am so grateful to her assistant, Kate, for putting me at ease by explaining what is happening and being so in tune with my fears and any apprehension I may have. She is so kind. The whole office community is so positive. Everyone is really happy at work! I have had terrible experiences at the dentist in my younger years and Dr. Lamb has been able to develop a strong rapport and trust with me. Our whole family sees her. I feel so well cared for. There is never pain after a filling or after my recent crown appointment. Everything is perfect! I highly recommend Cumberland dental - especially for anyone struggling with anxiety when they even think about going to the dentist.

Hygienist and dentist were very understanding and had me all fixed up and out the door in no time! I have been to several dental offices in the Comox Valley and Cumberland Dental Centre had no hidden costs when I was there or on the several occasions my husband went which never was the case anywhere else.

Several years later, still amazing and compassionate dentists and staff. They clearly walk you through your options, best and worse-case scenarios and when it comes to the billing at the end, there are no surprises. (Tamara?) the gal that does the billing/payment —I’m terrible with names— explains the costs associated with everything you have had done and what upcoming costs will be involved in further treatments. Plus her sense of humour leaves ya chuckling (and that’s not normal as far as any dentist office I’ve been to!)

Came to Cumberland dental for a severe toothache that was treated with painkillers and antibiotics until I could get either a root canal or extraction. The Dr.was professional, as well as her dental assistant. I was explained all possible treatment options for the tooth. Days later, the pain became excruciating. I was welcomed into an emergency appointment, where my tooth was (by my choice) extracted.
I was emotional from the lack of sleep and level of pain, but was treated with dignity and respect throughout the procedure.
I booked again to take care of a cavity. I will also be booking for teeth cleanings and maintenance once all work is done. I would recommend this practice to anyone!

Great dental clinic, clean, friendly, personable and fair. Very good about taking emergency situations, filed grandma's tooth for no charge, now the whole family attends there! We drive from Qualicum Beach. Nice community to visit as well. Great coffee shops and a homemade ice cream shop. Mountain bike center as well! Don't miss the healthy experience!

Great dentist office, really feel that the staff care about your health and not just about getting you in and out, they're great at explaining what they're doing and what you can do to improve things yourself

I was made to feel welcome from the moment I arrived & though I was feeling very nervous was soon made to feel comfortable. I was looked after very well & everything was explained as each procedure was done by the hygienist. The dentist also explained the treatment I need & why. I also like the fact that I was given an estimate for the future treatment that I need. I would recommend this dental practice to anyone.

Last year I went in for a small brown dot I noticed on a back molar and was told it was a stain no big deal. I was also told I had to get a filling on a different tooth due to a cavity.

Today I found out that the filling was completely done wrong leaving a huge gap between my tooth and the filling. This has caused bacteria to get in my tooth leading my tooth to die and the tooth now beside it needing a filling.

That brown dot I was told was a “stain” was actually a cavity starting… because of the mistakes that were made from Cumberland Dental I am now paying $2500 worth of work that could have been all prevented, on top of all the costs spent at Cumberland Dental. I went in 2 times with pain after my filling and he said everything was fine. I am beyond upset with the mistakes that were made knowing they could have been prevented.

Please do your research before trusting someone with your health.

Just had dental surgery and Dr Eric and his assistant Amy were top notch. The entire staff at Cumberland Dental is amazing.

Great stuff. Dental hygienist was incredibly precise, understanding, and compassionate, I was literally falling asleep as she scratched the chlorhexidine stains off my teeth.

I've always been very happy with the Cumberland Dental Clinic, in all aspects of their service. I also brought my granddaughter there recently for her very first dental appointment and was more than impressed. They were gentle and treated her very well and took the time to educate her on her teeth and proper hygiene and did so with an approach that kept her interest and was age appropriate dialogue. It was a great first experience! I will always recommend this clinic

I know I will get flak for this, but, people get a second opinion. Myself and four children frequently went here, but after moving to Comox it became unreasonable to travel the distance. After several recommendations that my children get several fillings we find that NOTHING was wrong with their teeth!? ! Why? A mistake? I don't think so. Get a second opinion.

Wonderful staff and Great service. Every time I have an issue, which is regular, they always find a way to help me. Feel very blessed to be a patient at this office.

Amazing. Best dental service I’ve ever had. With a previous fear of having work done, Cumberland Dental is the only place I will go. Between Jana (dentist) and Caitlin (dental assistant) I always feel safe, informed and comfortable. The building is spotless and all departments are super friendly including reception and billing. Very very happy here and grateful that my families dental work is cared for by them!
