This place is always a great choice. Wonderful food options, warm and cozy environment and very good service.

Highly recommended this amazing cafe, the minute we walked in we were greeted with the warmest welcome from Kalen. The food was delicious, the drinks were perfect. Highly enjoyed Kalens suggestion on everything. But truly what made this a magnificent meal was Kalens great personality and his care for his customers. Can’t speak highly enough about his customer service! Thank you Kalen for making a first date night perfect.

Server was friendly. Atmosphere nice. I was very excited by the interesting selection of pizzas. My wife and I each ordered one so we could try two flavours. Unfortunately the toppings on both felt like they didn’t spread far enough to the crust, the dough also had so many black and burnt spots that my wife was still spitting up charcoal when she brushed her teeth later in the night.

Went there for brunch after reading some really positive reviews. We were.underwhelmed. The "curious bacon" was extremely strange and gross - both gamey and sweet. Never had bad bacon before this. The eggs were the super pale yellow cheap grocery store eggs. If I'm paying $25 for eggs and toast I would expect a free range/farm fresh egg. The hashbrowns were quite good, though a bit salty. It was okay. Uninspired. I think I understand why it wasn't very busy in there.

Although a bit loud and slow, the food was sublime! Everything our party ordered was spectacularly delicious, and the drink menu was well done too. I would recommend the Hummus over practically anything. Good hummus is hard to come by unless homemade, and this place does it with practiced skill! Delicious! This is most definitely a conversational brunch spot, as food does take a long time to come out and seems to cater to larger groups. Great place to host a brunch!

Came for a solo lunch and had a lovely bowl of avocado, hummus, quinoa, cranberries. It was dressed so perfectly with the lemon juice brightening everything without being overpowering. Healthy and delicious.it made me seriously consider going vegetarian if food can taste that good. I did see they have a big pizza oven though so it seems like pizza is the thing or order here as well. Next time for sure!

If I could give more stars for the service, I would. Bryce was so freaking sweet and even though we entered super late, he still had a great attitude, and made us delicious drinks and served us an incredible pizza (dare I say the best in town?). I recommend and plan to visit again soon!

Its a nice place. Good service. Unfortunately for me I don't know how inventive the menu has stayed over the years. I would say for a 19 dollar salad it fell a bit short.

It took a while to get food but besides that it was amazing! The pizza was really good and there were lots of dishes with duck.

Wasn't impressed with either salad or fries I ordered for the price. Haven't tried the pizza yet which I hear is the go to. Wouldn't go out of my way to visit but would try again, super great staff.

The thing they do best is presentation/plating. The food always looks awesome! There are a couple substantial options for vegans, and dishes with quinoa that diabetics would appreciate. On the other hand, I don't typically go here because the food is more gimmicky/hipster than gourmet. For example, the hollandaise sauce and falafel on their menu are both reinvented with non-traditional ingredients that simply aren't as tasty as the traditional ones (yet you're paying more for it). But it's generally a cool place with good service. Check out the more intimate seating around the bar if you're going for a date.

Great food, great service. Even when the staff changes it still feels like they know you when you go in.

Server didn’t like our table when she learned that 60% of us don’t drink and service went downhill from there.
Food wise, the broccoli salad was delicious! The pizza would’ve been great if it was brought to us five minutes earlier (it died at the window unfortunately). Wouldn’t recommend the duck + gnocchi, not sure what we’re eating for that dish.

Tasty food and a friendly staff made for an enjoyable dinner at The Curious Cafe! Would recommend to anyone visiting or living in Kelowna. A great night out complete with a cool vibe and extensive drink menu.

The food was priced high for the quality we received. I ordered the arancini and chicken parm. The main course was a big plate!

My cousin was in town for a conference. She was staying at the grand so we were looking for a place at that end of town. We both had the Curious Royale burger. One of the best burgers I have had in a long time. The mixture of the braised onions and dill pickle salsa was SO GOOD!

Great food and lovely staff. Had our staff appreciation there with 16 ppl and had a fantastic time. Thanks a lot!

We got the jerked chicken and the duck banh mi burger for take out. The jerked chicken was well spiced and pretty tender. The bed of pineapple fried rice adds a good mix of some sweetness to balance the spice. You are reasonably full after this as they give you 2 chicken breasts. The sauce that you get on the side has a good kick to it.

The duck in the banh mi burger is tender and it is a good burger that is pretty filling. I can't say that I can tell I was eating a banh mi in the form of a burger though. The bun could be toasted - it felt more like the bun was given as is straight from the bag it came from.

It's not bad overall and would be interested in what the dine in experience is like as the ambiance seems quite cool.

Amazing food! Highly recommend the bowls- absolutely delicious. The pizza party option is great for a group and a good value. Great service and accommodated 14 of us!

Excellent selection of drinks and cool plates. Had a very tasty falafel dish, but was able to grab a bite of a pizza as well. Staff is super friendly and the atmosphere is relaxed. Cool place to be!

Luigi and his staff are second to none downtown! Hang out there just for a moment and you'll witness the welcoming & friendly atmosphere! Not only that they have a woodfire stove shaped like an apple, that uses apple wood to cook their wide array of pizza selections! This place again, cuts no corners and is amazing authentic homestyle Italian food!

I put in the simplest order i could (that the menu would allow) in an attempt to be considerate toward the staff who seemed quite busy.

In doing so, I inadvertently created an unobtainable expectation for myself: being served.

45 minute wsit for a club soda and 2 hour wait for a salad that never came.
I will try to do better next time and go to a drive thru where at least my time isn’t wasted and I can only feel like a P. O. S as long as I am eating.

I guess in this town hospitality means that humility is the Soupe Du Jour.

Nice restaurant in the heart of downtown, nice variety of places to eat within the restaurant. I chose the back patio which was very nice.

We had a great meal here! It was nice to see quite a few vegan and gluten free options available for all diners. Everything was tasty and the service was also very good.

I love breakfasts here.
They have added cafe menu too. And the drinks look cute and tasty.
Highly recommended.
There’s no fans in the patio and its hot a bit for the summer.

Went in for some pizza and ciders, and was such a great surprise there was like music. A guy playing gitar and signing. Service and food was great and loved the big long tables to sit on.

This is a very “BC” type of restaurant. Meaning they have vegan stuff and little spins of BC incorporated into the dish’s. Brought 2 others with me for brunch and enjoyed all the meals. Bacon was authentic, and my mother was raving about the Mac n cheese. Meals were: Mac n Cheese, Classic breakfast and Duck Gnocchi.

Delicious salad and pizza. LIKE REALLY DELICIOUS! Sabrina was the perfect waitress, polite and friendly. Beer here was great. Would go back for all the other amazing menu items!?

Soooo good. Food was great, so many delicious options, drinks are fire emoji, and staff was friendly. What else can you ask for.

An excellent experience! The ambiance was lovely (decor + music) and service was good. The food was excellent:) I had Arctic Char and the side vegetable dish was amazing! Seriously one of the best I had in a while. The combination of the sour from the pickled cabbage, the savery from the potatoes, and the freshness of broccoli and tomatoes were spot-on.

That said, I hope this one bit of constructive criticism gets to the chef. The only thing I had a tiny bit of an issue was that the mint (?) sauce and the char itself were both over-salted. Also, the char was cooked probably one minute too long. I grew up in Japan so I am very picky when it comes to fish so please take this with a grain of salt. It was just almost there to achieve perfection with less salt and by taking off of the fire by 1 minutes or so.

Americano coffee and a breakfast pizza.can't get over the whipped hollindaise sauce! Price was unbelievably inexpensive for the amount of food received! Two of us just barely finished it.

Amazing. First time there was tonight for our holiday party. Being vegan, I was elated they were able to accommodate, everything looked amazing and my options were amazing. Great crew, great server, great atmosphere. Will definitely be back. Thank you for making it such a wonderful night.oh and the massive bottle of wine.crazy! Loved it.think I put a dent in it

Food was good, service was a bit slow, but that's typical from this restaurant. What I found bothersome was that no one checked or asked for proof of vaccination even though it's required. That's why I'm giving them 3 stars. I personally, like everyone else who is vax'd I'm sure, want to dine out safely and know the table next to me has taken the same steps.

Great spot for a late night coffee or hot chocolate but the food is nothing to write home about.

I had a great time at Curious Cafe. Their mac and cheese is really good and I loved their salt and pepper wings. I would really recommend going there to try their food. The staff were really nice and friendly and I liked being able to see the cooks making pizza in the kitchen.

A wonderful little restaurant with a cool little vibe. I want to come back on music night and have a drink and listen to their entertainers. The food is pretty good as well. It's kind of a win-win

We are curious how Curious stays open. We have been here before, 2 ish years ago for breakfast and it was very good. Tonight, the chicken dinner for two would have a hard time beating a hungry man frozen dinner. The stuffing was bread crumbs with a few cranberries, and potatoes were instant. The veggies were frozen (which we would have given a pass based on the current situation) and the gravy was bland and watery. The chicken was ok, and the arugula/almond salad was good. When the waitress asked how it was, we were honest and told her exactly what we thought. She apologized and asked if we wanted more food. Our answer…. Ummmm, no thank you. Then came the bill. No manager, no chef to come and talk to us. Such a disappointment. We will not be back. We had to go and get more food elsewhere. We do not recommend.

The.gluten free pizza was amazing and when we asked how it was made, they gifted us with some flour! A very special place

We had an overall great experience here. The food was fantastic and the drinks were even better! We thought the prices were very fair as you get fairly large portions. The food and drinks alone earned this five star review.

One thing I would like to see is a more interesting and unique cocktail menu. Most their cocktails were just classics - it would be cool to see some home-grown options on there.

We were also a bit disappointed when we arrived and there was no live music, despite it being advertised on their website and even right outside the door.

One other thing to note is that most the tables are big community tables which may not be everyone’s thing.

The food was tasty, and the atmosphere was decent. The servers were nice and attentive. I dropped a full star for the fact that none of the male staff were wearing their masks properly, hanging down around their Chins most of the time, noses and mouths exposed.

Heard good things, but I think it wasn't their day when we went.

Appeared under staffed and it took a while to get our drinks ordered. Unfortunately, a pizza was made that wasn't ordered, another pizza had raw dough, and the duck bao buns were undercooked.

We paid for drinks and left. Somewhat disappointed that a manager didn't come touch base with us as he was walking around, instead leaving the poor waitress to explain away the kitchen's errors and try to apologize.

Truffle parmesan fries were great, but everything else was unfortunately a bust.

Cute space with a good range of options. The dishes and drinks were okay. Website advertised live music but was in the back room which was closed to us.

Unfortunately we did not have a a great experience as the other reviews, but is was OK. Our cocktails were not very well made for the price and our Caesar Salad was not really good. The pizza and wings however were very well done.

Violet has now served my friends and I a few times. Always great and welcoming service. Wonderful food. We had a chance to have a taster of a cocktail Violet made. It was refreshing and perfectly balanced with flavour. Highly recommend stopping here if you're a local or visiting.

The waitress for soooooo friendly and nice! She split the dish fot us knowing that we are sharing! We aren't from in town so she gave us local recommendations too!

The vibe in here is wonderful and no line up for brunch. Definitely get the curious bacon! It's worth it!

I'm revising my previous review that gushed about this place. It's still one of my favourite spots in town. But here's the thing. The food isn't outstanding. The prices are a bit inflated. But their menu options are great and the ambiance is just the best. Cozy, warm, welcoming. The feel of the place is the reason I keep coming back. Oh, and the craft beer menu is solid.

Second visit last week after a long hiatus. First experience was with a large group on a busy night so it wasn't the best way to judge. We decided on another go and happy we did.

Service was great and food was outstanding. I have eaten several hundreds of slices of pizza and the prosciutto pizza I ate this visit may be the best food I've ever had.

Glad we came back for a second shot.

They have a fantastic patio and an excellent pizza for a more layback experience but with good food it’s the place to go!

Lives up to the name, this humble little yet not so little cafe is one of my go to places for anything from a hangover brunch to a fancy dinner. With their awesome and unique menu your tastebuds will literally go on a global expedition. 10/10 would and will recommend to anyone looking for a new, cozy, and creative place to enjoy food and a good time.

Visited Curious Cafe after some hours on the lake. Draught beer choices are abundant and staff is very knowledgeable on what they serve. We tried some of the dishes from the Meze section in ther menu. The Rustic Bruschetta, Fried Olives and the Hummus + Foccacia was amazing. This was our second visit. The Pizzas and coffee at this Cafe are must tries as well!

Casual comfort food great for a quick bite or chill night with friends. Food was a little overpriced for the size of the dishes. Great beer, cocktail, wine and spirits selection. No issues with the service - super accommodating, friendly, and inviting. Certainly met all our expectations.

Went for Valentine's dinner and enjoyed great live music. The food was excellent, a nice atmosphere to the place

Dinner in the bubble was amazing! We had a great experience at Curious. Every course of the food was delicious and the wine was excellent. Jordan was such a great host, very attentive to our needs and very fun! Would definitely recommend this as a safe opportunity to go out and experience a great eatery in Kelowna.

Had the the much anticipated bubble experience and wasn't as impressed as expected. They were short staffed and so our waitress was run off of her feet and had difficulty carrying in dishes while opening and closing the zipper on our dome. To top it off we were told at the end of our meal in which we never removed our coats, that they had blown a fuse and therefore could only run one radiant heater in our dome. It was quite chilly to say the least. On our way out we poked our heads into the second dome which was nice and cozy with two fan assisted portable heaters. The experience should have been really enjoyable with the sound of the rain on the dome and a good meal before us, but it was simply too cold to enjoy. Too bad.

Been there for pizza. The dough was great, but I'd have appreciated if the veggies on top of my pizza were roasted instead of.boiled? They were too soft and not tasty. Staff is nice and the place is cool.

What an adventure! Best anniversary ever, spent it with my partner inside the bubble! Food was amazing, and so was Jessica! Thanks so much for giving us both a great dinner but also a whole experience!

What an amazing treat! I have never seen anything like this. If you can keep it a secret from your dinner party so much the better! We were suprised by our kids and we were led through the different parts of the restaraunt up to the back door! Then they open it to a courtyard with 2 bubbles. It was lit up inside with 2 heaters and romantic music playing just for us. The table (that could hold 6) was beautifully set for the 2 of us. Outside the bubble in the courtyard was are own private gas fire with chairs to sit around. We utilized this part way though the meal, and took our wine outside with us. The set meal is fantastic, and as the 3rd course was served our VERY attentive private waitress said we could take some home because there were 3 more courses to come! If you want to go by the fire, bring a comfy coat or even some blankets. This is a hidden jem, amazing value for your $, and the best chicken I have EVER had in my 67 years.

The drinks are okay but really didn't enjoy the food much, price was way too steep for what you get.

However the place is gorgeous and I think it's a lovely little place to go for nightlife when things aren't still as mad as they are, glad to see they're still doing well with everything going on.

Got the smoked salmon on bagel. I am from Montreal and it has been a long time I had a proper bagel. My lunch was delicious. The french fries had a rancid taste today. The service was very good.

Besides the waitress who denied me of any service, not even to ask me how our food was or to fill our water up (had to wave someone else down to grab her for me for the bill), I have had great experiences here in the past and have faith that this was just a one off situation with someone who seemingly prefers to gather larger tips from larger tables.

Always delicious drinks and pizza. Don’t be afraid of the chili oil, it enhances the flavor of the already wonderful pizza. Great atmosphere, I love it in the summer when the windows are open.

By far the best breakfast I have eaten. I had the classic breakfast. Portions were perfect, the bacon was cooked perfectly AND the brioche melted in my mouth with some homemade blueberry jam. I am going back tomorrow morning for breakfast. The place was simplistic and the server amusing and very professional.

They had very cool "peach" feature going on. They had a "peachzza" and peach old fashioned with a peach cobbler for dessert. This was delicious! But the service was outstanding. Not only was the food delicious but our service was so friendly! I love going to places with people who are genuinely friendly and happy and not just "working to get good tips". Thanks for the great experience on our trip through Kelowna!

Pizza and beer was decent. Breakfast was very mediocre. Staff walked by and noticed that we had partitioned the cremated potatoes off to the side of our plate. Did they care? No.

Gorgeous, knowledgeable staff. Off the tourist path and so worth the adventure. Constant changes in wine selection making every visit an experience. Charcuterie to die for. And I'm an expert! Van has nothing on this joint. Prove me wrong! Thank you! What a great part of our weekend!

A delightful little place with friendly service and a very "curious" menu of amazing offerings. The variety of the menu items makes it easy for a variety of tastes and include a number of vegan options. There is a smaller quieter side by the kitchen and a larger more active side in the bar area. A bit pricey as are many of the smaller boutique restaurants downtown. We had a delightful time with our friends.

The restaurant is cute - the staff are a neutral rating. We ordered lattes that needed to be sent back to the kitchen. The chorizo was tasteless and watery, but the eggs Benedict were creamy and yummy (but the hash browns were burnt)

Very accommodating for all dietary concerns (we're a tricky group) and the server made sure everyone got what they needed. Vegan, GF, unique, delicious. Who knew it could be done so well!?

We went for breakfast this morning and it was fantastic! The early bird menu is a good deal (9-11am) with great options. Lots of space for larger groups. Highly recommend the aerated yogurt and the classic.

It's always a great atmosphere at the Curious Cafe. Even if you're the only table in there at the time. Unique and delicious pizza creations and lots of different beers on the menu. Reasonable pricing as most (if not all) of the pizzas are under $20 and they're easily big enough for two to share.

Walked in unannounced with a large group for lunch - totally exceeded expectations! Friendly staff and great food. Definitely recommend.

Had a great time! All the breakfast and lunch options looked great. The pepperoni pizza was amazing, great dough and the honey was not too sweet. Good options for drinks too, teas, coffee, and specialty beers. Well worth the trip!

I love this place. The pizza is awesome. The beers are always rotating, and this is one of the only places that I can find brews from Quebec.
