Current Taxi Kelowna

What's the point of pre-booking if there is no taxi when you shown up? Won't use again.

Very good service and kind hardworking staff. Current taxi is always on time and the vehicles are immaculate.

My drive's name was Alain and was friendly, I enjoyed the ride, he was a gentle man who acted with kinded, interest and care. So defitely had a good experience.

Writing this review since I have not received a call back from the Manager. I was charge twice once on the app and once on the card machine in the car. This is no way to run a business. I will be resorting to using Uber from now on since they have always fixed any issues within 48 Hours. Booking ID is 21431450

Disappointed
Being a customer since their beginning I never received a response when my taxi requests were repeatedly ignored and turned down after waiting for 20-30 minutes.
More than a few times.
And texting a complaint with no response.

Unfortunately they time out for a request after ten minutes. Half the time riders reject your request. Especially if a short trip. Not a convenient choice at all. Prefer their service as the drivers are great and have had several amazing experiences. But timewise it's not a great choice if on the clock yourself

Reliable, clean and great communication! I was nervous to book a cab in Kelowna at all after repeat poor experiences with another local cab company on a previous trip. I am so glad that I discovered Current Taxi! Daniel, Cora and Scott were our drivers and they were fantastic. Cora also went above and beyond to provide local recommendations for food and to provide more information on the Current Taxi company and how they can support an upcoming event we have planned! The App is so easy to use and shows you all the info you need to know. Awesome. Will use again!

Normally happy with this service until tonight. Booked a cap using the app against a verified account so was surprised when I watched the cap assigned to me drive off with another person inside. Now I'm paying for someone elses's ride home?

Allowing people to steal your account paid rides seems like a significant vunerability in how this system works. I would like to see a bit more care in picking up the correct person with the drivers.

Dispatch was able to resolve the issue when I called but the experience makes me a less enthusiastic advocate for this company.

If you don’t want to get a ride - this is the place to call! Cancel after cancel after cancel - this place is a joke

John was our driver this evening and he was so wonderful as we navigated putting two car seats into the vehicle (Tesla) that he was driving. He was patient, kind and sincere. Thanks so much John! All the best as you start your journey in Kelowna!

Probably the best taxi ride I’ve had. Aaron was absolutely great, the car was clean and the trip was smooth and enjoyable. I would recommend it for sure.

Love the idea. Text based messages, speech activated recording for pick ups, technologically advanced forward thinking company. However, couldn't get me to the airport at the time I needed.

Extremely reliable, down to the minute. Drivers are also very professional. Perfect company to use if you have items of business to complete and need a dependable mode of transport.

Best taxi service in Kelowna! Ride in luxury for the same price & help the environment

I have NEVER written any reviews in my life. I used Current Taxi twice today and both of my experiences were real bad. The services I received today left me no choice.

For the first one, I booked my ride a day before to make sure that I will have a guaranteed pick up for the time I specified. 5 mins after my original pick up time, I received a text message says that a driver will be there in 25 mins. I was like OH MY GOODNESS! 30mins delay in total!? What is the point of pre-book if it will be late for 30mins! Please improve your business by prioritizing pre-booked customers and communicate with them better. This is not okay.

For the second ride today, it was the driver. From the get-go, I had an impression that the driver was purposely driving VERY slow. I'm sure he would disagree with me by saying that he was following the speed sign, but unfortunately no, that was not the case. I was paying attention to the seed sign and his speed. He was driving 51 where the sign says 60.

I asked him to go to the left lane since it was empty compared to the right lane. Plus, my right turn was far from where we were. For some reason, he really wanted to go to the right lane when there were lots of car being jammed at the light (there was only one car in the left lane). Again, my right turn was more than 4km away.

I have used Current Taxi ever since it started the business in Kelowna. I have never met a driver who drives like this before. Very disappointing.

John picked me up for the airport this morning. Great, funny, friendly guy. Amazing driver. Got me there safely and on time. Will definitely keep using Current Taxi when I’m in west Kelowna. Thanks!

The last few times I’ve tried to book with current taxi they’ve cancelled my ride on me or never approved it in the first place. Not sure if it’s an issue with the app or not. I’m disappointed because I’ve previously had good experiences with this company.

Not a good service. Does not cover all areas of Kelowna. Just called Kelowna cabs instead. They had a friendly driver and never have let me down. I recommend the other companies before Current Taxi.

On Saturday, November 26,2022 I booked a taxi for Sunday, November 27 at 04: 00 in the morning to take us from home to the Kelowna Airport. I received back a confirmation email with booking# 13015840. Saturday evening I phoned Current Taxi to be sure that all was good as our flight was very early on Sunday. To my surprise their agent couldn't find our booking! I gave her all the details still nothing. Then I gave her the reservation number that was on their email and eventually she found it. Her explanation was really socking to me. She said that the reason for not finding our booking was that the dispatcher CANCELLED our booking! Just like that without sending any text message or email notifying me about this! If was not for me phoning to verify my booking the day before and wait for the taxi to arrive in the morning, I would have missed my flight!
Eventually I booked a taxi with Kelowna Cabs which came right on time.

Your app doesn't work and you Continuously cancel my bookings.
Trying to book a ride with you is a complete waste of time.

I love what they are doing. It would be great if they worked with Uber, Lyft, Poparide and taxi companies to create an integrated ride share program.

Told me my cab would be 40 min but failed to inform me they consider it a “wait list” and they just bump you off of it after x amount of time. Waited until it was supposed to show up only to receive a canceled message call back and be informed of this. Would have been nice to know it wasn’t a reliable ride even with a long wait time.

A pleasure to ride with Current in the all Tesla fleet and drivers paid hourly aren't rushing or rude during the ride. Truly enjoyable company to employ and wait any short wait it may be compared to other companies and always the same price in my experience. Take Current!

Before Saturday I would have given a high rating from passed experience, but I walking up to get into my cab, who i was on the phone with, when a group of girls ask to take the cab and he let's them, pulls a upturn right in front of me and says someone else will be on their way.then he wouldn't answer my call or dispatches. Not sure I will use current again. I ended up taking Kelowna cabs and the driver was so kind and held a great conversation. So Kelowna Cabs gets 5 Star rating for me.

Visiting Kelowna and took a taxi to the airport. Cabs and clean and stylish. My driver was Jacob and he was excellent. Great personality and very professional. Highly recommend him!

Don't bother if you live outside of the downtown core. We live up in the upper mission and they never accept our fare

There was a voice message. It told me I had to install an app for quicker service. I passed. Went to next cab service.

I called a day in advance to book a cab and was told they were all booked for the next day. The entire day. How is that even possible?

What an amazing company! We pre-ordered a taxi and it arrived right on time! Our driver Scott T.was super friendly and knowledgeable. He recommended several places for us to check out the next day. When I visit again I will be using this company for all of my taxi needs!

My Current Taxi Driver Was Andy and I had great service and a very pleasant ride with him. He was friendly, courteous and very professional. My entire ride went smoothly and swiftly and I must say that after having had some bad and inappropriate experiences with other taxi services in Kelowna, Current taxi is now my go to Taxi service. Would definitely reccomend; especially for single women travelling alone. Current taxi is clean, safe and trustworthy from my experiences.

Downloaded the app and scheduled a pickup in 30 minutes - got a text at the pickup time saying they were too busy to fulfil the pickup. Really? Couldn't have sent that any sooner?

Friendly staff! Was very happy with the service. We did have to wait downtown for 45 min to get a taxi but that’s what you get for being downtown on a Saturday night. Still giving five stars!

My driver was late for 10 minutes! And on the door was a hand print, (did you even sanitizer the car) and then he ran into a speed pump, was just disappointed

I downloaded app and I was using this company every day few times a day untill I was in Kelowna. The last day I pre-booked trip for next morning 8 am to drive me to bus to go back home. Hours later, at 10 pm I got message that they are fully booked the next day and they are canceling my trip. They gave me phone number to call where no one answers. You just hear messages they are busy on next line and then it gets disconnected. Very unprofessional. I called checkmate cab and they said no worries cab is going to be for sure in front of hotel the next morning. I will never again use current taxi.

T-bone is the best. Love current taxi. Really nice to ride in a Tesla. 11/10. We used current taxi to map our winery tour. You can book in advance and they are always on time!

Drivers were nice and personable. They were on time and friendly. Cars are super clean. Only issue is that not all pick up requests can be accepted if a driver is not available, so sometimes we could not find a driver which was frustrating.

I have used current taxi in the past and have been happy with how clean and professional the service is, as the taxis are often dirty. This time however I was not impressed.

I booked current taxi at 5 pm on a Sunday and immediately received confirmation of my service to the airport for early the next morning, at 11 pm they text me that they will not be able to accommodate my request.

Very disappointed as I have long recommended current taxi but will now be looking for another alternative to taxis.

Great drivers, very friendly. Love that its Eco friendly as well. I would 100% recommend to friends and family to use this service.
Cheaper then what a normal cab would cost you.
