I love dr. Bahtia. He is very kind and really cares. He’s a good dr. All the staff are very warm and caring.

The staff here are always friendly, knowledgeable, and caring and I feel I can trust them with my pet.

We love the Cypress St Animal Hospital team, they do a great job helping keep our frisky beagle sniffing the world.

Moved to Cypress from a different vet because of the lower estimate for dental care and stayed for the caring, knowledgeable team and their phenomenal job with our cat. These folks are down to earth and genuine. Highly recommend.

A few years back now I took my Newfoundland for a grooming here. The gal at the desk told me it would be $99, but when I picked her up it was double that. I mean, fine, it was a bit more than anticipated, but call me and let me know so I can decide whether or not I want to spend that much. It was a huge surprise when I picked her up. When I got her home she was still full of knots and wasn't washed properly. I am not sure they still offer grooming, but regardless, would never go back. UPDATE. I DID NOT buy a Groupon. I walked in off the street. And I paid you $180.it appears you owe me money if your comment below is correct. Anyway.it appears they've gone out of business 'cause their company was so bad.

Cypress St. Animal Hospital was great for taking my cat for a last minute check-up at night when my kitty wasn't feeling well. The vet really likes cats and there is also a resident cat there named peaches

Took my dog there for an emergency visit due to my regular vet being closed. I mentioned this from the beginning. They didn’t assess my concern regarding my dog at all, and they pushed to do irrelevant testing on my dog (i.e, blood work and…more blood work). Then they pushed to place my cat on medication even though her blood work came back normal. They took advantage of me when I was highly stressed out about my cat’s physical condition. They seem to just follow a script in order to get as much money from you as possible (I paid $700 for the visit, probiotics, and 2 blood tests). I went to my regular vet as soon as they opened who assessed my dog’s physical health in front of me and said that my dog just has a sprained muscle. My vet prescribed a mild pain killer. My entire appointment with my own vet cost $75.

I’ve enjoyed bringing my pet to this clinic. They gave the appropriate medications to help my cat with multiple issues. They are all super friendly as well! It’s been a good experience.

Our boys are always well taken care of at Cypress St. Animal Hospital. We always feel like family!

I can’t shout out enough to this vet, ALL members of staff go above and beyond in service, but also on a personal level - they comfort you when your pet is sick and they always makes you feel reassured. The best vet my animals have been to!

Front desk is exceptional, Vanessa is highly knowledgably and very personable definitely makes you feel comfortable and helps ease your nerves in a high stress situation. She went over all my questions with an amazing attitude and is a huge reason my experience went so well.

Doctor was good and seemed caring.

I do think the management could use some improvement their definitely seems to be some disconnect in that aspect not only based on my experience but from others I have also spoken with.

All the staff are super friendly and helpful. We missed our appointment by a day and they still fit us in. Great service and so good with our puppy.

Took our Rottie, Bowie in for a large cut on his foot. He is not good with people touching his feet at the best of times but the staff all pulled together and did a great job. Thankful that they took us on such short notice on Thanksgiving.

Dr Martinez is always very thorough and helpful and this visit was no exception. He is good with Shelby which is very important.

Since adopting Kevin last December, he's spent quite a bit of time at Cypress Street Animal Hospital. Dr Bhatia and his team have taken such good care of my boy and that sure relieves the stress of having a dog that has needed urgent care. There is a reason the wall there is covered with awards from the Georgia Strait fan favourites contests!

Moved here recently and so glad I chose this clinic to bring my dog. The vet and staff are very knowledgable. Coco loves to go and say hi to everyone.

Started Coming here after a bad experience at another clinic. I searched a lot but a friend recommended Dr. Bhatia and I am glad I made the decision. Dr. Bhatia is very knowledgable and went over all the crazy questions I had. I can ask a lot of question when it comes to my dog and the staff made sure I got my answers. With the service I got the prices were amazing. My dog loves to go say hi to everyone at cypress when we are walking by and it makes me so happy seeing her happy:)

Moved to BC a year ago and trying to find a new vet isn’t always easy when you don’t know anyone to recommend a good one nearby. My dog was very sick a year ago and nobody would take her as it was a last minute emergency. Cypress squeezed her in and when I picked her up she was like a brand new dog! I’ve gone back a few times and always love how caring they are towards her and VERY accommodating when I’ve called last minute! The vet even called to let me know her tests came back with no issues (after i had her back home) and taking the time to let me know everything was alright, most places just say if we don’t call then she’s fine. I highly recommend taking your fur babies here!

I’ve “vet shopped” several times and this is my new home vet - they are respectful of your time, the animal’s needs and overall potential costs. Genuinely so impressed with the level of authentic & sincere care from their team. You can tell they love animals & just want to help. Highly recommend.

We have an 8 year old dog and have had our fair share of vets over the years. Our regular vet was closed and we needed an emergency appointment so we ended up trying this place and are so glad we did! All of the staff here are so friendly and really seem to care. They listen to our concerns and I don't feel like we're being upsold unnecessary tests or medication. It's a bit nerve-wracking trying a new vet but every doctor and vet tech we've had here we felt like we can trust. Great hours and ability to squeeze you in for quick check ups, etc. We've since transferred over to this place as our new vet!

Our pup had a paw injury and needed dressings- the dressings they did caused sores. We brought him back because it was causing pain and they dismissed us, just kept dressing it the same way, so now he has scars! We told them multiple times he is allergic to chicken, and they still gave him chicken treats every time we dropped him off. Really disappointing, switched vets.

I have been to this vet a few times, and I find them rude and dismissive. I brought my ten year old cat in today because she has been peeing outside of her litter box, which is really out of character for her. I didn’t feel that the vet tech was respectful, or taking time to really listen to me. It was rushed and cold. The vet himself has always seemed to just be offering different tests that cost a lot of money. He is not sincere, and doesn’t really put in any effort to reassure, or make you feel comfortable. When I asked for further explanation about something, he got frustrated and said that he had already explained it but he will explain it again. I asked for the total cost of all of his recommendations, and it was 420.00. I was left to pick and choose without really understanding what was best for my cat, while the vet and the vet tech waited, seemingly annoyed.
I left this animal hospital feeling unheard, dismissed, judged, and sad. I also felt like they were trying to rip me off. I will not be going back.
It is really important to be sincere, compassionate, or at least nice to people who are in a vulnerable position because they love their animal, but don’t have the financial privilege to pay for every test that is suggested.
I’ve been reading other reviews and lots of people feel like y’all are ripping them off. Maybe change your approach? I get that stuffs expensive but at least try to make sure your clients feel safe making decisions in your establishment

I went there for cat food. The girl was EXTREMELY knowledgeable for the food for my cat. Super friendly and would recommend coming here.

Gave my dog a vaccine I said no to lots of times and then made me pay for it will not be returning.

I was recommended to go there by a friend, I had a bad experience with another local vet. My dog was calm during the appointment and the vet and his staff were very friendly and gave good service plus the price was good too.

I went to Cypress Hospital for my cat who wasn’t her usual self lately. The clinic was nice and they provided good service and gave medication that helped soothe my cats stomach. The price was very reasonable too.

So so kind, professional, and helpful! They accepted me super last-minute, and let me know that I didn't need a microchip for my cat - she turned out to already have had one. Good thing they checked for me!

Staff obviously love animals, and it shows. Prices were super reasonable, there was no wait time, and place was clean and organized. The location they're in is easy to find, too.

I am grateful for the exceptional, thoughtful and kind care my cat recently received from Dr Bhatia and his staff. The professionalism and attention to detail alleviated my stress when my cat was very sick. Throughout the diagnostics and treatments Dr Bhatia thoroughly explained what he was looking for and how he would treat what he found. The tests and the bills were fair and not needlessly ordered nor were charges inflated. Everyone here genuinely cares about pets and it shows. To have my cat get back to good health is everything! The respect consistently shown to pets and their owners is appreciated and the care is the best. Thank you so much!

All was well until they made a mistake. I sought a second opinion at another vet. I then called Cypress Vet and politely addressed my concern. When I was lied to about the result, and the doctor suggested to bring my already distressed and sick cat in AGAIN, I couldn’t help but wonder if they are in it for the money. I will never go back. It is one thing to make mistakes, but to not own up to them makes it all worse.

We just tried this vet out this week and will not be going back because personally it was the worst vet experience we've ever had.

As soon as we got there they took my dog into a closed room and took us into a separate closed room (RED FLAG #1: Why can't they do whatever they're doing to my dog infront of me). Then despite the fact that I clearly told the vet that we were there for 1 vaccine and medicine, the vet was adamant to give my dog another another vaccine that she wasn't due for (RED FLAG #2: I had a year round vaccine schedule from our previous vet and I had to "prove it" that my dog didn't need it to get the vet to drop the idea). Then we had to pick up some flea/tick and heart worm medicine and the vet carries the medicine but didn't know how to dose the medicine (RED FLAG #3: Made me figure out my dogs dosage for medicine. I shouldn't have to know how to do that). Finally, despite the fact my dog was very audibly distressed in that closed room they wouldn't let me see her until the bill was paid (RED FLAG #4: clearly doesn't care about the dogs well being. They just care about the money). The search continues for a new vet!

Tried to scam us two times first deworming our dog twice in one month, And second tried to make us pay $300 for Coccidia parasite test which is $70 other places. They are clearly in it for the money not for the love of the animal.

We absolutely not fixed this. After I took my cat to another vet, they let us know after a simple visit that my cat had asthma. When I got charged a $1000 at cypress for no answer. They refused to tell me the root cause of my cat's health problem because I wrote a review about them. Shame on you! If you love your pet, do not take them to this cruel place. Thieves and liars. When you own up to what you did then ill remove my review. Do not reply a year after to tell lie to people and say you fixed the problem.

The staff here are special. I knew it all along but after we lost our baby, it was written in stone. They are incredible, thoughtful people.

I have had a wonderful experience with Cypress Street animal hospital, They have taken care of both of my dogs therefore I'm giving it a five-star because they actually care about your pets.

Best service and staff in the West End. We’ve moved over the years and tried other (closer) vets yet always end up back at Cypress. Our 15 yr old still knows and is most comfortable with the staff.

This place is EXTREMELY negligent and money-driven. They don't care about your pets AT ALL, they just want to get as much money out of you as they can. I took my 6-month-old puppy here originally after he had diarrhea - $600 in vet bills later for an upset stomach. I finally spoke with a vet after calling them repeatedly for days (since they never called me back) to ask about his bloodwork results and the vet said he was fine, minus his protein levels being slightly low but that's normal to see after diarrhea he said.

I took my puppy back about a month later because he woke up whimpering in pain. I tried to go to a different vet after my first bad experience with Cypress, but no one else could take him on such short notice. The vet then told me he had chronic kidney disease after looking at his bloodwork and would be sick long term. He then ordered x-rays, sold me some "special food" for his kidneys, and did a urine test - $800 dollars in vet bills later. And said he would call me the next day once the urine test results came back and to confirm his prognosis.

I received a phone call the following day asking me to come in for an ultrasound (another $500) BEFORE THEY EVEN HAD HIS TEST RESULTS. I politely declined and asked when the vet would be calling about his urine test results and x-ray. The vet never called me back. I ended up calling another 6 times that day (I was EXTREMELY worried about my puppy) before finally speaking with another vet who told me that my dog was fine and the tests came back fine. I asked if the original vet could please call me the next day he was in as I wanted to confirm that my puppy was fine with him.

He never called me back. I ended up calling them again a few more times before I was finally able to speak with the original vet. I started the conversation by saying I was confused as to why he said my dog had kidney problems when the other vet said he was fine. He then said that he was also confused since the latest bloodwork showed no problems with his kidney, and the x-ray was fine, yet he continued to try to sell me on an ultrasound.

A week later, I received another phone call asking me to book an ultrasound - even though my dog is fine? It's actually ridiculous the lengths they'll go to take your money, yet they don't even care to follow up and let you know that your pet is fine.

On top of everything, I received an email from my pet insurance saying that my original claim was closing as Cypress Animal Hospital hadn't sent them the documents they needed - A MONTH LATER. I called Cypress a few more times to ask them to please send the information over to the pet insurance as the claim is closing and to CC me on the email. It took me calling 4 times until they finally sent the correct information to the pet insurance company.

F*CK these guys. Your pets deserve way better. Don't even think about taking them here, they're just after your money.

Clearly extremely money driven, I was disappointed. They did the basic services but could not clearly answer my questions about my dogs concerns. Would not recommend at all.

Cypress Animal Hospital took good care of my kitty, Athena on her remaining days while also taking care of me. They were very skilled at coming to a diagnostic conclusion of my cat’s illness, which saved my cat suffering from increased vet visits and more time spent at home. They also were able to refer me swiftly to an oncologist so she could get a proper treatment plan and give me more answers. Thank you to the staff at Cypress.

I love this vet! I will never go anywhere else. The staff are so friendly and loving and the drs are rockstars! They treated my dog and myself so well when my dog was sick and were so compassionate along the way! I live all the way in north van now and I still will stay faithful!

Eight years ago, a friend recommended Cypress Veterinary for their excellent service I’m so happy i took her advice.
Recently, my 14 year old dog Piper had many teeth removed which I was afraid for her to do.
Noticing a chipped tooth at the back of her mouth and bad odour I knew I wouldn’t have a choice but for her to get surgery done.
Knowing Piper has a heart condition I was very scared to proceed with the operation.
Dr. Bhatia recommended to do specific type of bloodwork to make sure her heart is strong enough I’m sure glad I took his advice.
The operation went smoothly and Piper is recovering very well from the surgery.
I’m truly grateful now my Piper will be much happier and her family.

Brought my 5 wk old cat in to be dewormed checked out and flea preventuon. They were kind and fit me in and told me my cat was too young for shots just then. Made an apt for 2 weeks later, and second pill for worms. There very professional, give you information as they go through the process. The billing is explained totally, and decisions are made with information, and understood well. I am going to also get my female cat spade when able as well there. I appreciated everything and waited outside as were in the midst of the covid situation. It was a good visit, and they all were very kind and professional.

They misdiagnosed my dogs eye and she almost lost it because of them. I went to this vet for my dogs eye. They told me her eye was fine and gave me an antibacterial cream saying it could be from her head hanging out the car window. A couple days later she was worse and I went to another vet. They said her eye was not fine and they found a large scratch on it that was now infected. It needed treatment or she could lose her eye. I think cypress vet had difficulty checking her eye and took a guess. I’ll never go back.

Have been coming to Dr Bhatia and his team for over 3 decades. Live on the other side of town but they are worth the drive.

Worst. Issue was with extremely rude and inflexible front desk staff. Was given the wrong dog food, tried to exchange and was denied. Wouldn't even give me the clinic managers name to discuss.

Cypress has made life long clients out of us. The care they provide animals with & customer service skills they have is solid. I’ve taken my animals to different places over the years & have had nothing but bad experiences where I’ve been nervous to return. We’ve had 2 different visits & I would highly recommend this place to everyone.

They haven’t made us feel pressured into anything & give lots of communication when your animal is sick or hurt.

I've been to a few vets over the years in Vancouver, and Cypress has always given me a great experience. The prices are fair, and they recognize my dogs and know them by name as soon as we walk in, which is something i take notice of and appreciate.:)

Not happy with my experiences or the stories I have heard from friends and other review websites. Some of the staff, mostly the doctors, are not kind and disregard your concerns for animals. They want to try and sell whatever possible instead and guilt you otherwise.

We recently took our English Bulldog to Cypress Animal Hospital to treat some mild infections caused by his allergies. He suffers from the same infections each year when his allergies flare. The allergy condition is common in the breed. However, within a couple days of my dog's medication being finished, the infection rebounded and became worse than before. Approximately 2 weeks after his initial treatment he had to be brought back in. The cost for the initial treatment was over $500.2 weeks later we had to spend another few hundred to treat the same infections again. I feel the antibiotics he was given weren't prescribed for long enough which is why his infections rebounded so quickly and badly. If that wasn't enough, we had to pay another $250 to see a specialist a few days after the second visit to make certain his condition was properly being treated. In the past, infections caused by his allergies were cleared up after just ONE visit. NEVER have I had to bring my dog to the vet 3 times within just a few short weeks for the same condition. I would not recommend Cypress to anyone.

A very poor animal hospital. They do not care about you or your animals. If you love your pet, take them elsewhere.

Been going to Cypress for a whole year now. Dr. Sanjit is extremely caring with Luna who is always a bit nervous and anxious. Very affordable in general, especially for vaccines. If you make an appointment is waaay better since they’re a busy busy place

Found the staff to be very knowledgeable and friendly. They have excellent and very professional clinic.

Okay experience. Staff seemed knowledgeable. Took my 6 year old westie in for vaccinations and the vet said she needed a teeth cleaning. She eats raw, chews bones, and I brush her teeth. She’s had her teeth cleaned 6 months preciously by K9 gentle dental so I booked her in for a cleaning again. They said she absolutely did not need a teeth cleaning, they said to check back again in 4-6mo.tl;dr Vet said dog needed teeth cleaning (an extremely expensive procedure & requires anesthesia so it comes with risk) when she does not
