The food wasn't really good, in my opinion the friend chicken wasn't anything special. The atmosphere was very gloomy. There was no music.

My family and I have been coming to this family run restaurant for over 5 years. Food is always yummy!

We ordered hot pot and it said beef, and ham. What we got was sliced hot dogs and spam, plus Kraft cheese singles. The rest of the ingredients were fine but it seemed disingenuous at best, nor have I encountered low quality ingredients like that anywhere else.

Smaller portion than before. A lot of new employees are day dreaming. Took them forever to give us menu, beer and food.

It’s been a while since I’ve eaten at this restaurant. I came here last month, and I feel that I still need to write about it. The waitress doesn’t want to talk when I enter the door, whether it’s taking a seat or serving food, and the table smells sour from greasy, smelly rags. When I was about to get up and leave the checkout, the female clerk bumped into me with hot soup, and the female clerk just glanced at me, bumped into someone without even the most basic apology, I even thought she hated her job, when the door came in Several Korean customers, the proprietress came out very enthusiastically and shouted welcome, and other shop assistants also happily said welcome, my husband and I couldn't believe it? ! What kind of service we encountered, we thought they would not exclude Chinese, right? ! We still gave a tip when we checked out, and we also thanked the male clerk, but the male clerk watched us leave without saying a word, um, we won’t come again, the restaurant didn’t even have the most basic welcome and thank you, how to make guests have a good meal⋯

The price is great, and the taste is okay.
The amount of bulgogi is huge, and the bean sprouts seem to have been put in a whole bag. The taste of the soup must be refreshing.

Definitely not going to eat here anymore. I was rushed to get my order in, place isn't clean and the quality of the food isn't great. Ordered a soup on which the vegetables are overly cooked to the extent that all lumped together.not a very good experience.was not even asked what I want to drink.

Excellent food.wonderful atmosphere. And always packed. My family loved the food, we ordered the four person bbq combo. The servings were huge. We went there for a birthday celebration and the birthday party loved every single dish. Favorite was the ja Jang myeon. Staff were attentive and always got what you requested. Very helpful! Would definitely keep going back there!

Price is good and the Korea style dishes are really traditional! Good service and friendly environment. I live the soup and noodles, all meats are sweet, but I personally very love

First time here. Satisfied with the authentic Korean cuisine just like the one I had in Seoul. We ordered the Steam dumplings, Jajang Noodles and BBQ Beef special. Everything is delicious and the service was extremely efficient. Space is also spacious and reasonably clean.

Stopped by for lunch. Great lunch deals with very good portions. The place is kinda dated and dirty feeling. Service was ok and the place was pretty busy. Food tasted pretty good. Good place if you wanted some Korean food with plenty of parking.

My go to restaurant for Korean dishes having been to South Korea twice. It's authentic and delicious for Asian taste buds.

It's a waste of money.

The server gave water as a no-look, and I was curious when the beef ribs were seasoned, and the broth was spoiled. The level of the chef seemed really low. It's a restaurant that I never want to go to and have no conscience.

It is a real Korean restaurant run by a Korean. There are many Korean restaurants run by Chinese in Richmond.

Dai Jang Kum is Korean owned and operated, and offers authentic Korean dishes from banchan to soft tofu soup to bbq. Best value for lunch anywhere in the lower mainland. $20 per person including tax and tips. Good selection from their lunch menu. See photos for what was included in my meal. Service is quick and efficient. 20 minutes from ordering to paying the bill, and the food came out sizzling hot. The quality and taste of food was very good for the value. Solid 4 stars and would come back.

Hot pot portions are big, good food and price are reasonable. I has been coming here for years, one of my favorite spot for Korean foods

Massive portions of tasty marinated meat.

I've been going to Dai Jang Kum for over a decade and I can honestly say it's one of my favourite Korean restaurants. It's not fancy like Sura or Zoomak, but the owners are Koreans who work really hard and provide great food to their customers. You can also ask them to do all the BBQ in the kitchen, but my friends and I love grilling at our table.

Tip: The combo specials are massive. Usually if there's 4 of us, we'll order the combo special for 3 people and add on some cold noodles on the side!

Ordered combo A for 3 people. (~$80) Contains beef, LA beef galbi, pork and chicken. Includes 3 miso soups, rice and side dishes.

Honestly, I can't say more that the service is impeccable. I have lived in Richmond in all my life and only to discover that this place has been here since 2008.

Insanely fast service. Like all the food came out before my tea arrived. Good place to have some KBBQ. They have premium meat as well for the fancy lovers.

Food quality is super bad and overpriced. Servers are not kind and their service was amazingly poor. Never come back and definitely not recommended for you

Great food as always. Sadly the owner son is very rude and give extremely bad attitude toward customers. The other ladies there are extremely nice. However seeing the leadership, not sure will this place be run to the ground in the near future!

Made reservations for 9. Told we had a 1.5 hour window but it wasn't really enforced as we ended up taking up all that time naturallu and we were never bothered or asked to hurry. Orders the 4 person and 6 person BBQ combo. Food was fresh, and delicious. Portions were very generous, especially the short ribs. The other meats were scarcer but you really can't complain consider how much short ribs you actually get. Might need to speak up if you prefer more pork or chicken or the thin beef stuff.

Food here was good. I really enjoyed the steam korean dumplings as they were chewy and flavourful. The server here was nice and we didn't not feel rushed eating. Ordered the combo A and pork bone soup. The pork bone soup was different than other restaurants I've tried (not spicy and flavorful). Prices here are really good. Would recommend.

First time here after driving past this place for years and years. Quite a good dinning experience. The food was good, portions are decent but the ambiance isn't the best. Its got this 90's feel to it and it feels like you were in a time warp to those all you can eat sushi restaurants from before.id still come back, i think the food was great!

But their side dishes are the same as 2 months ago and last month.

They have good service, always ready to respond and assist when you call. The for tasted delicious and the amount you get for the price is unreal

Nice Korean BBQ restaurant with a good variety of other choices of main courses and dishes. All very tasty and delicious. Good place to go when want to have Korean BBQ or just simply have some simple Korean dishes without having BBQ. A very casual and comfortable place for gathering with friends or family. Also ok to go even with just one or two people.

This is definitely a 5 star restaurant.the service was really fast, the waitress, Minjeong was super nice and fast. The food was out of this world, it was super tasty.and big news: the portions are HUGE.we came here with my 3 other friends and we were super full and we still had leftovers.and lastly the prices.we had a huge feast and we split the bill which came to 25$ (not including tips) per person which is a pretty good price comparing the food quality/portions/ and the amazing service.would recommend 100%. (food we ordered: kimchi fried rice, kimchi jjigae, vegetable udon, ddeokbeokki, bibimbap, japchae-which i don’t have a picture of)

The place is small and cosy. Located in a strip mall. Went after hours so lots of parking. We sat in a booth so we were not close to other patrons. I found the bbq pit not as hot as other places. The food was good.

This place always pack during dinner time. We came around 5.30pm for early dinner we were the first few customers. Service was good and fast. We order the bbq combo for 3 + bibimbap + japchae. The combo came with meat platter, tofu pot, seafood pancake, and rice. The meat platter portion was bigger than the picture, which is a good thing but it was too much for 4 of us. Meat taste excellent! Love the marinade. The tofu pot and the pancake were good too. Definitely gonna come back and try something else.

I used to work around here, perfect place for lunch, even if you only one person, they provide you full side dish, including kimchi, sweet potatos, etc.love the cold nood, best korean food in richmond, will try there bbq if I have chance.

This is an excellent Korean restaurant offering a wide range of dishes at very reasonable prices. There is not much choice around the hotel strip do it was a pleasant surprise to find this place. So forget the burgers and fries and treat yourself to something different.

Me and my husband ordered beef tofu soup, japchae, bbq meat and seafood tofu soup. They are all fantastic and their kimchi is fresh and spicy which we love!
The service needs improvement though, they look tired or just didn't want to serve or ask feedback. They probably are very busy. I'd still give them a 4 star because their food is good and I didn't go there to make friends with snobby servers.

Great food, generous portion and cheap! Operated by Koreans and visited by Koreans and more. All the side dishes (banchan) are absolutely delicious! I ordered the beef short rib soup. The soup tastes amazing and the short ribs are perfectly cooked. It doesn't look like it but there is a huge amount of meat in this dish. It costs only $11.95. Service is not the fastest, but the waitresses are very polite. The restaurant is clean and has a good atomsphere. I love this place so much I want to come here every week!

I felt rush and they really forceful on trying to help grill all your meat. And they will swarm your table with food even when your table is full of food already.

Went here for lunch with another couple. We ordered the meat combo meal with seafood pancake and tofu soup. Usually, you grill the meat yourself but we asked them to cook from their kitchen before serving coz at that time we were not dressed to grill and do not want our jackets to smell BBQ from the smoke when we use the griller at the center table. We also had japchae noodles, it was my favorite. The pork neck bone soup is also good, the meat tender.

Pretty Good. Nice people. Cold noodle did lack a little in flavour. Seafood Pankcake was good. We ordered the three person meal, it was able to feed 6 people.

Very good food marinated very well however be careful as grill is hot and you have to cook and prepare the meat for yourself you may have to cut the meat as well they do provide scissors but they are not the best they also offer non self grill food like Korean pan noodles and desserts (their white chocolate and raspberry one kinda tastes like how playdoh smells but it's good still) would recommend if you love Korean bbq

Good Korean BBQ. Side dishes are great. BBQ is in the table. Meat is just ok, but the price is really good for what you get.
