Dairy Queen Grill & Chill

Customer service is completely lacking, takes way too long to receive food with no compensation. Ended up leaving without our simple order of an ice cream cone at the drive through.

The blizzards are great! The staff Mixed up the names of them when handing them to us, but that is a simple mistake:)

We ordered through the app. There was a problem with the app. The DQ store did not receive the order however the app still charged us $34.73. Went into the store and the only solution was that the app will refund us the money in 1-2 business days. The end result was we walked out of DQ without any food

Pulled up to the drive through and was ask to wait. 7 minutes, and a line behind me later, I could order. Planned to splurge on the $15.99 chicken salad and was informed that the only dressing available is ranch. Not a fan of ranch at all and for $15.99 + tax expected wayyyy more. For reference, an entree sized California spring salad at Milestones costs $15.50! Sadly left hungry.

I TRIED to get a couple burgers here last Thursday about 5: 30 pm before the 6 pm movie at the Gem started.
I pulled into the drive-thru and there was one person ahead of me at the intercom who appeared to be yelling at it. This vehicle then attempted to back out and I would have obliged but there was another vehicle behind me by then and I couldn't so he went forward. I pulled up doing the same, yelling at the intercom for service to no avail. I pulled forward to see the vehicle ahead of me at the pick-up window in discussion with the employee which lasted 4-5 minutes. Inevitably he pulled ahead without an order.
By now it was too late to even try to get an order if we were to make the movie to we went past the pick-up window without stopping.
The empolyees at the window didn't even seem to care that we were driving through.
This is totally unacceptable behavior for which I blame more on management then the pathetic excuses for employees on shift at the time. Competent management would not hire people like this.
If management cares, they need to know that this incident is being reported to DQ's franchaise owner as well as the regional head office.

I rarely complain about fast food.because let's be honest it's fast food. Long gone are the days of old. If you can justify charging 8.99 for a burger than you should be able to justify putting a little effort into it. The lettuce while barely there was soggy. The flamethrower sauce was so heavy, that the bottom bun was soggy. At the end of the day I get it, we're talking about fast food here. But if you get what you pay for then your burgers should be 5$

All 4 of our meals were not good, tasted nothing like Dairy Queen in other places like Abbotsford

Still tastes like Dairy Queen, which is a good thing. Serving sizes are more than adequate, with friendly staff. I've always liked this, to other fast food places

Bot the best DQ on earth as the staff turnover is huge BUT it's clean and the food and diary products are consistent.

Went for ice cream and asked for a cup of water and when we looked at our bill we realized they charge almost $4 for a cup of plain old tap water! So insane. Definitely gone way down hill since it sold recently.
The girl working the drive through said she has heard a lot of complaints lately, too.

Great food and great atmosphere. Everything seemed fresh and when a mistake does happen, they are quick to fix it!

Shared my concerns from a couple unsatisfying visits with the store and Debbie and the team made sure to fix the problem. Appreciate the help and willingness to improve and more importantly implementation of the positive change. Thanks Debbie & Team!

Came here for a couple of cheeseburgers and onion rings. I paid for my meal. Afterwords I’ll asked for 2 cups of water with ice and they wanted to charge me an extra $8.49 for tapwater. In two separate cups.
Yes you heard me right $8.49 for 2 cups of tapwater! And the wait time was almost unbearable. Waited 15 minutes at the window with several cars behind me. And had time to thoroughly write this review and edit it.

And afterwords upon eating our food the bun was stale the onion rings were not hot. I am in complete frustration in the time it took to receive my order and it’s not like it was busy inside. Dairy Queen has been a favoured in my family for the past 50 years. This particular location will never be visited by me or my family ever again.

Shoe leather burgers, terrible, dry, 2 people, they charged us for a extra burger we did not order it but they gave it to us and charged us for it awful food, never go there again

Truly enjoyed our blizzard and banana split was a nice break. The place was clean and staff were friendly.

Angry customer purchased two cheeseburgers and a medium blizzard from the Dairy Queen drive-thru came home expecting to enjoy some nice sandwiches the burgers were severely overcooked and the actual the buns were very stale I will never spend my money there again the food was absolute trash

It was okay but haven't been to dairy queen in years since I was a kid but food wasn't all that great the ice cream is good so think I'd go there for ice cream not food

Honestly I don’t think we have ever had a problem with D. Qs food, except for today. In grand forks B. C we went to the D. Q for lunch when we went in the Floors we’re dirty and there was flies everywhere. The cashier who helped us had hair poking through the hair net and the hair net was on halfway. The cashier had long enough hair for it to put its hair In a ponytail and put the hair net on probably. The drinks tasted weird for some reason and there was HAIR in my food the fries were rubbery like they were microwaved. July 17 2021

Swiss mushroom burger terrible
Like eating sawdust, 2 mushrooms on burger.the rest was a terrible cream sauce.
Chicken strips dry lots of batter. Forgot fountain drink. Service terrible

My boyfriend and I went through the drive through lfor 2 blizzards 1 sm.and 1 large! Had to wait for 20 minutes then we got to the window and still had to wait for them to finish the large one!

They seem to be pricing out as the prices in relation to what you get seems out of sync. Two small size plain ice cream cones for $7.50? Really?

I wouldnt write a review unless it was recurring but they literally mess something up in your order every single time, this time there was No bacon on my bacon cheeseburger lol

Always burnt
Always slow
Always very unprofessional
Fire the current supervisor on duty today and you might make a difference as this is where the problems occur most.

I always ask for well done fries.last few visits even after mentioning that they were not well done the last time and I would like them extra crispy.no go. Tried to order fudge bars and no one seemed to know what I meant.took 3 staff to figure it out! Also ordered the new chicken bites and the price was outrageous $13 something for 6 little bits on overcooked chicken. Not sure if I will be going back.

Line up is always pretty slow but they do a pretty good job with the food.at least you no its fresh.

Wouldn't go back, service was terrible. I left without placing an order. Staff didn't even acknowledge me. Need more people.

I wrote a negative review on here because me & my friends had a real problem with getting our order right. Usually we got the wrong stuff. After my review someone reached out to me and worked to fix the problem, my orders have been much more consistent thanks then. Thank you josh! Grand forks location has always been tastier to me than other Dairy Queen locations so happy to come back!

Garbage. Old dry patty put in the microwave, poutine cooked in the microwave. Manager came out and argued with me about the quality. DO NOT COME HERE

Franchise restaurants are usually so closely audited by their head office that consumers can expect a certain standard of their product and usually like with McD's, a quarter pounder in Vancouver will be the same as a quarter pounder in Ottawa or Halifax. The Dairy Queen in Grand Forks must have been forgotten by their franchise because I've never received such a horrible DQ meal. I had a chicken burger which contained a 3mm gray looking substance between heavy breading and my husband's hamburger was so dry it was difficult to bite into. Five minutes after picking up this lunch at the drive thru the burgers went from appearing the bun was steamed to the bun turning hard. Both our meals had to have been microwaved and way too long. We were just passing through town and didn't have time to go back so we missed lunch. My dog did manage to eat the hamburger patty but he didn't want anything to do with my gray chicken. Also how did they manage to ruin an orange Julius? It had no flavor other than sugar. My husband's chocolate milkshake was very good however.

Cold burgers, under cooked fries not hot at all, onion rings stuck in a clump and flat pop. Hard pass

Dont even bother stopping. Waited over 15 mins for a burger that was stale and the lettuce was mush. The ice cream even tasted old and stale? ! Very slow service and the owners walk around clueless. Will not be back.

I just. 20min ago order a single order of putine the fries and gravy where only warm and the curds where still frozen. The time before that I ordered a chicken burger and fries I got five miles out of town an found they where burnt to a crisp I for one would never go there again screw me once shame on me.

We met our kids and grand kids to have an ice cream. It's a great place for young families and mature families to meet and talk.

Staff were well above average for service, friendly and the food was hot and fresh. Our family was well taken care of. Thank you

Like every location it took a while for our ice cream to come but its expected so not a big deal. The ice cream was good and well blended. What makes this location lose a star is the lack of customer service. There just was none the entire time we were there.

This 1 star rating is not the staffs fault. It is 110% the owners that are being rated here. The service is slower than a sit down real restaurant and the poor kids (as they only hire kids) get the brunt of the angry customers because the owners are too cheap to staff their facility properly. Ridiculous.

Great meal combo. $7.00 plus tax included a bacon cheeseburger with fries or rings, a pop and a sundae. Nice town too!

Costs are outrageous on meal deals. However will only pay for the treats! Staff never friendly or happy.

Every burger is microwaved at the grandforks B. C dairy queen. That is a trash practice in any restaurant, even if its fast food!
