Dakota Cafe

My friends and I have been dining at the Dakota every Sunday morning and the food is always good with service to match. Michelle and Jenny provide efficient, pleasant service. We also frequent the restaurant during the week only for coffee. The service is good (Jenny) and a coffee refill is always offered. Of all the restaurants in Sidney area I prefer the Dakota for its atmosphere and pleasant service.

Hmmm. I was hoping for a burger, but it's not on the menu. Someone recommended not trying the wonton soup. So I opted for the Twin Engine breakfast (for lunch) and it was okay.

Our server was gregarious and courteous and efficient. The meal arrived in a timely fashion. Plenty of free parking. Lots of planes coming and going, so the buyer was interesting and the decor was too.

Excellent and very tasty seafood wonton soup! The French fries are very tasty and crispy. Still the same great food and service.

I was told about this place for their amazing wonton soups with either seafood or chicken. It's only available for lunch on Monday, Wednesday or Friday. It's loaded with veggies and it is awesome. Comes in 3 sizes.
Was back again today (July 14/23) and had to order the wonton soup again, but their lunch menu is awesome and has something for anyone even if they are fussy. They also have an outdoor patio.

I have only got their Won Ton soup as take out but best I have tasted on Island however make sure to order early as they close at 3pm plus only serve it M/W/F so often run out quickly.

Once we are in the area of the Sidney we will step in Dakota Cafe! The food tasted good and also have several options to choose from.very large portions for the price, I would definitely recommend. The decor and ambience is also very nice, service is quite attentive. It is my favourite restaurant in Sidney!

Wish I could rate the food but since the server was so unbelievably rude we left and went to Five & Dime and had a great breakfast. Empty inside and patio but she was apparently too busy to be polite and yelled at my son and I. We were very embarrassed to be yelled at like that in front of other guests.

Owner reached out and offered a free meal which I declined as I don't review for free meals.
I returned this past week and although the service had improved the food was not good at all. $16 for eggs Benny was a fine price but I would expect house made hash browns. Not McCain's frozen hash browns that were not seasoned at all. The eggs were poached properly but the Hollandaise was so runny it barely coated the eggs.
If you're looking for a coffee or a nice view definitely give them a shot but if you want a good breakfast in Sidney go to Five & Dime.

This morning my friends and I had an amazing brunch at Dakota Cafe inside the Victoria Flying Club building. This family-friendly restaurant has fantastic staff, great service, aviation-themed decor, and very delicious food. While enjoying our meals, we were able to watch airplanes taking off and landing. We will definitely visit again soon!

I had the best salad I have ever had at the Dakota Cafe. The Deluxe Chef Salad was full of different vegetables, veggies leafy greens, ham, and eggs slices. The salad was very Keto diet friendly. My wife enjoyed her order of a Dakota burger, and fries.
The cafe is family friendly, and beside the Victoria Flying Club, and is a great place for young families to take there kids and enjoy a meal and introduce the young to a positive influence, and a possible future hobby, or career.
