Danoo Cafe & Crepe

I went to this place on a Saturday afternoon and it's a very homey little cafe. Very nice staff and down to earth people. Had great food and their lattes are amazing. This is a good spot to study and get some work done as well because it's not too loud and there are outlets.

It`s a cool little place to 'chill`. We went there to study and the ordered waffles and crepes and both were very yummy. Service was also pretty fast considering it was busy. Generous portions on omletes and breakfast items as well. We will surely come back! Friendly service.

The prices are cheap and affordable, and the ingredients are all made from real ingredients. They serve Asian food.

Actually surprised how good this place was. Meal wasn’t heavy as I expected and I love the Korean flavours to the western dishes, however I was a bit disappointed in the waffles, but looking forward to try their crepes next time.

Poor environment. Limited menu not consistent with picture posted on the app. Waitress was really rude playing her own broad cast on loudspeaker EXTREMELY loudly, regardless of customers in store. Also, running the cleaning machine EXTREMELY loudly. Will never come again!

In response to your misleading reply, I do not expect an extremely quiet environment to study, but a normal environment to stay. And I paid an ice cream waffle and a coffee tasted really really bad for $23. All the customers are quiet because not too many people here! However, the you played your board cast on speaker so loud that I cannot even clearly hear through my AirPod even I turned on to the loudest voice!

Please show your respect to customers and to your work and do not distort the fact.

Btw, I noticed that you only attack or quibble with those negative reviews posted by Chinese surnames. While in store, when a Canadian woman customer came in, you turned off your board cast right away and during her stay. Is it a kind of RACIALISM even if you are Chinese?

They didn’t ask for vaccine proof upon entry. The food and service was underwhelming; we had to ask for accessories like stir spoons for coffees and ketchup for eggs. The server was clearly new and seemed to struggle with remembering basic things. It appears like a family run business and the positives were at 11: 30am on a rainy Saturday it was almost empty when we walked in so lots of seating available. I also appreciated the attempt at a comfortable vibe without blaring music, easier to have conversations. Hopefully they can improve some of the service elements and for crike’s sake ask people for their vaccine proof. Restaurants suffered so much during Covid it seems shocking they wouldn’t at least abide to provincial health orders now to keep their doors open.

Unfortunately they were very under staffed and/or very overwhelmed today. Maybe their waffle maker broke too? We arrived at 11 and they took so long to take our order we thought we were supposed to go up to the counter and pay first. When we did they apologized and came took our order at our table. They were quite busy by this point. We eventually got half of our order and it was great - their hollandaise sauce was fantastic. The other half of our order never came. We went up and asked them about it and they said it was in the waffle maker and would be done soon, so we went back and sat down. It still never came and it was getting on 1 o'clock - so two hours after we sat down. We asked again and they said no more waffles today. When I said we ordered waffles over an hour ago and never got them, they looked confused and talked among their team. Then they repeated no more waffles today and asked if we wanted to order something else instead. We paid and left, but it would have been nice to hear an apology or a discount or anything really to acknowledge that they missed us.
I hope they can get more staff, or remove some tables or something so they don't end up so overwhelmed that they miss orders entirely.

This is a great brunch spot with easy street parking. They offer a 10% discount for UBC students!

My friend ordered the chocolate waffles and traditional breakfast with sausages, while I had the salmon eggs benny. Both of our dishes were delicious! The hollandaise sauce was slightly tart for my taste, but the eggs were cooked beautifully. My friend said the chocolate ice cream in her waffles was the best she ever had!

Major props to our server, who was the only employee working in the front. He was amazing and provided friendly and efficient service!

We will definitely be back!

Came in on a wet rainy morning and it felt so nice and cozy to be there. Service was very nice and friendly and the shrimp wrap I ordered was better than expected - piping hot and plentiful with shrimp. Reasonable prices as well.

Can't complain. This Cafe is absolutely amazing. Went for lunch with a friend and husband and we left completely full and satisfied. I ordered tomatoes avocado and eggs and was delicious. 5 stars

Our local "greasy spoon". Thoroughly enjoy coming here for brunch. Coconut milkshakes are super tasty and the veggie eggs benny is awesome!

So grateful to have stumbled upon this cafe today. It seems to be run by a couple- who provide very hospitable food and service. One of the best London Fogs I've had. Perfect microfoam. For those feeling up for asian food, the homemade wontons are delicious as well. They reminded me of fresh wontons my grandparents used to make in my childhood.

I loved this place! First time yesterday for breakfast. Excellent service, delicious food, good coffee and great prices all in a little cute place. I had an excellent omelette and it is served beautifully with fruit, potatoes and toast. The waffles looked totally amazing!

Very nice Eggs Benedict. 1 or 2 tables on.patio there and.tables outside just nextdoor at The Bean.

Had the eggs benny it was okay, came out luke warm. Nothing very special but nothing very off putting.

Absolutely enjoyed our visit at Danoo. We tried salmon & danoo benedicts and waffles. Everything was really delicious. It's a great place to visit with kids, they had plastic plates and cute cutlery, a few toys as well. Service was great too, the guy who served us was soooo polite. Solid 5 stars, definitely will visit again if we're in the area.

My wife works in the area and we got a chance to sit down for lunch today. It was a wonderful experience and the food was great!
