Days Inn by Wyndham Vancouver Downtown

Location is amazing, apart from that we were disappointed. Dirty hotel, doors, windows, carpets and the elevator are filthy. Spoke to the manager regarding lack of cleanliness and was given the excuse that it's an old building and offered to have housekeeper address my " concerns". I shouldn't have to do this on my vacation, it should already be clean! Incredibly over priced. Bed felt like cardboard, tiny room, smelly hotel, elevator shudders and shakes and is tiny. I understand there's only one elevator but having a housekeeper rudely shove herself in with us and all her garbage was pretty gross. The shower was cracked, tiny and dirty and the water never got hot. Breakfast looked very unappetizing in tiny depressing room. Would never stay here again, absolute waste of money.

Do not stay here if you have any allergies or sensitivity to scents. This hotel is very outdated for the price. The only positive is the location.

Great location! Our room was very clean and quiet. The staff was friendly, helpful and efficient. We loved the historical architecture. We will be back.

Both rooms have shower heads that are so low that if you’re a 5’5 or shorter king, you’ll feel tall.
Mattress are most definitely worn out, pillows look like decorative pillows that have no filling (there’s no extra pillows or towels in the room.)

My accessibility friends- you will most likely have the elevator breakdown 3-4 times, so be aware.

What a PATHETIC place! I'm SHOCKED that Wyndham puts their name on this mess.

Mildew, peeling wallpaper, a toilet that's set in a 2 foot wide CLOSET with the door taken off, wires hanging off the walls, NO LIGHTBULBS, no restaurant as is advertised on their site, construction all over the hotel, EMPTY vending machines, broken ice machine. PATHETIC. I left!

You get what you pay for. The rooms are smaller but comfy. Being in the heart of downtown is amazing and extremely convenient since everything is walking distance.

I had a 5 night booking but after the first night I decided to cancel my booking! The hotel is terrible! The bathtub was blocked, very intense smell of mold everywhere, dirty towels and blood cloths on the blanket! The only positive point is the exteremely helpful and kind staff.

I had a very bad customer experience. I had already pre paid for the stay. Upon arrival my credit card chip did-not work so I could-not pay my security deposit through the same card that i used to pay for my stay. The receptionist did-not consider at all. I asked to talk to manager or any senior person but she refused. And we were kicked out with a list of hotels that accept debit card in a winter night when the temp was -11. Wow, what a service. I want to sue for the service i got, can anyone help me.i cant explain how miserable it was to find a hotel at 10 pm in the night in such cold weather

The room was ok, I mean it's not a 5 star place. It was good enough for my stay. They could improve the place by fixing the washroom. They need to be updated. The drain for the bathtub wasn't working so well, it took a while to clear.
The bed was comfortable, and the staff was kind.
Location is in the heart of downtown near shops. Waterfront station is also nearby which is ideal for travelling to the airport.
The price was good and that's why I booked here.

Booking rate was too high, we were really surprised when we arrived. We asked to change our room as they gave us one without natural light for our stay of 5 days! Finally they changed it and we have a window in front one wall… anyway, bed was comfortable but they overall experience was not good. I won’t repeat. Avoid breakfast, its a waste of industrial cheap food. Location is good, price is too high for the quality.

Our room was a dungeon. We literally looked at a grey wall. Posted a picture of our view. It was dark and small with a weird bathroom but, for one night before our cruise we lived with it. It was later in the afternoon when we checked. They sold us the hop on hop off pass but failed to tell us the last run was at 5: 00. They were nice and checked us in early to our dungeon room. I would not stay there again or recommend. There are several other places that would have been better.

I stayed in this hotel for almost every trip in Vancouver. It was a small decent hotel, near to all tourist spots. It is also accessible to bus stops and train.

Easy walk from sky train. Easy walk to cruise ship. Friendly. Free breakfast although simple continental. Clean room although small and old. Noise and safety were not a problem.

Air Conditioner was very loud and did not cool very well. The chair at the desk was worn out and wires poked me in the side and back. Bed was very soft so woke with sore back.

Exactly what you would expect. Nothing fancy, but the staff is really kind. The location is perfect to walk to the cruise ship terminal and all over town. The elevator is slow and tiny, but the stairs worked for us.

not only helped us to get in and out at short notice but she also booked us into a short guided tour Itinerary to roam the Vancouver city, we could touch all the major places in the city in just few hours.
Although the AC was not blowing cold air but luckily our stay was for few hours so didn't matter to us, overall
we had a great stay. Highly recommend for exceptional customer service and stay within budget. Also highly recommended for central location very close to the waterfront.

Awful. We made reservations a month in advance. Our plane was delayed and we called to let them know- they said it was fine. When we got the hotel, at 1am, front desk informed us they had no rooms left. Ari, apparently the manager, said there was nothing she could do leaving us stranded. I cannot believe the unprofessionalism. Unacceptable and unethical.

Hotel is not as modern as it looks in the pictures. The hotel is old and not well kept. The elevator is smelly. The room is very small and so is the bathroom. Very noisy. The walls and windows are thin as paper. You can hear everything. However, the location is good, close to the Waterfront train station. It is also close to downtown with all the shops and restaurants. Another plus is that the staff is friendly. Good choice of hotel if you don’t plan on staying long.

Besides the great location the front desk staff made up.for the shotty rooms.
Don't get me wrong the bed was comfortable room was clean.

Heater pumped good heat but damn will it keep you up at night. So loud.
If you need a place to crash at a great location.watch for cheaper prices I paid nearly 200 for the night on a saturday.but this is vancouver.
Restaurant closed so we got a muffin instead of a breakfast.

Not sure who was working the night shift on March 20th, but she was extremely helpful getting us set up with out room for the night after we were coming in from a long drive. She deserves a raise!

The room I got was nice and spacious enough to spread out my belongings. Bathroom was nice as well. Close to the train and any shops you need.

A bit older but a great spot. Something to note on is how quite it was, one of the most relaxing sleeps I have had recently.

My Father's credit card was charged twice (for car rental in USA? !? !) for the first time since moving to Canada the day after the clerk at the hotel took his credit card to charge him for the room. He never used or gave his credit card at all those 2 days other than there and has never used his credit for untrusted online purchases. Wouldn't recommend this hotel at all.

Arrived ten minutes before check in before 3: 00pm and asked if we could check in early. The lady at the front said our room wasn’t ready yet and told us to wait ten minutes and come back. We came back at 3: 00pm and still had 15 minutes of paper work to do. I am from the Island and called and asked if they would charge my card because my limit is $200. The lady said no they only keep my card for holding. When we arrived, they did charge the card for a hold but charged me $300 to hold my room. That did not work, so I only booked for one night instead. My total for the hotel is $204 but they charged us 230, and we were able to pay with debit. One lady was not good customer service and was not nice. Good thing another nice lady was able to take over and help us.
As per the hotel, the shower was not cleaned, our soap was soaked in water, and the room smelled like poo. A decent 1 star stay.

The rooms stink, they are small and they are not clean. The bathrooms were gross! The door did not seem secure and at 2 in the morning someone knocked on the door (we weren't making any noise) and walked away before I got up to open the door. I will not recommend this place unless this is a very last resort. I don’t even know how they got a 3.2 rating. I left an expensive bottle of conditioner in the washroom and when I called about it, they told me to email them as I would get a response faster, which doesn't make sense because all they would have to do is check where they have lost items. I emailed them and I received no response. I called the day after and they said it wasn't there. I know for sure it was in the washroom. There are much better hotels at this price point.

Room was very small and dark; bathroom needed to be updated. Staff were polite and the location was convenient.

Our stay at Days Inn Vancouver was so lovely. The staff were so kind upon arrival and helped us after we accidentally booked our stay on the wrong date! They took initiative and their communication with us and the third party we booked with was flawless. Would recommend to anyone who is looking for a good short stay to explore Vancouver

Exactly what I was expecting for the price point! Very centrally located, older property but everything worked and was clean. I didn't spend much time in the room because I was taking advantage of the proximity to everything.

Always love staying there, not too far from village, hot tub is a good experience specially in snow

The location is the best part. The sheets were clean, and so was the bathroom (to be expected). There was no duvet cover which was a little concerning. The toilet came pre-clogged so upon flushing it overflowed on to the bathroom floor. Outside of the window we stayed at was a easily accessible roof that made for a great smoke spot, as evidenced by the cigarette butts. On the enclosed by walls roof area, easily accessed by climbing out the window, once can access to all the other rooms windows, which is made even better by the fact that the windows dont really lock. The bed was comfortable, and the TV was nice. One of our key cards also didn't work, but that was fine. No breakfast, but they gave us a juice box so that was nice.

Tldr; For the price, definitely underwhelming

Good hôtel, but talking to the staff felt like talkin to robots, Mary Ann was particularly unpleasant, the Door could not open without the help of the staff but everything seemed to be normal. Anyway rooms are confortable but a little dark. Good wifi

A great location, transit accessible, and a decent option for the price point. Clean rooms with basic amenities.

Only docking one star as the shower looked a bit grungy and needed some new silicone around the tiles. It was all brown and horrible but friendly staff, clean room and close to the centre.

Good value, easy walk from train. Way better then spending $300 to stay at hotel in the airport. Took 30 minutes on the train and saved over $150.00

That’s amazing. This is my first visit of Vancouver and lady over the reception was such a nice. She explained everything about Vancouver in such a caring way. 100% recommendations for this hotel. Everytime this one would be my first preference.

Really great downtown location, close to the water & it felt like a safer area. It is an older hotel so the rooms are pretty small & plumbing is old, but if all you need is a bed to sleep in it does the job. Staff are friendly.

The worst customer service I have ever receive if for any reason there is an emergency outside of your control they will not accommodate. Rather they continue to defer to other parties Victoria Pun is was not helpful at all! They have no managers on duty until 12pm (next day) to help. This was a horrible experience as I spent 4 hrs of being transferred from automated system to another automated system. If you have the opportunity I would suggest staying somewhere else unless you have no other options.

The room wasn't awful, but it was super tiny. The price was astronomical for what we got, but I suppose that is the cost to be downtown.

We stayed 1 night while waiting to go on r cruise. Took skytrain from Airport. An easy walk from the train and easy walk to the ship. Hotel is older but very clean. Bed was comfy and room spacious. The restaurant in hotel had great service and even better food.a small but varied menu. Many restaurants and shops in area. Even a Tim Horton's close by. Plan on breakfast out. Only coffee and sweets are available at the hotel. Overall a great location and reasonably priced. An ok stay

Other than friendly front desk staff this hotel turned out to be a disappointment for me. Rooms are tiny, had issues with room key which wouldn't open even after several tries. There is an 50'inch TV stuck in the room which hits your shoulder everytime when you come out of the bathroom. Bathroom is so cramped that you would find bathroom in an aircraft spacious. Needs a major revamp in its infrastructure. Again, staff are friendly, polite and helpful.

Arrived last week to find out the elevator was broken and the hotel is under renovations. I had to carry my luggage up 9 flights of stairs (by myself), only to finally reach my floor which smelled terribly like paint thinner. I had to sleep with all of the windows open and the heat on HIGH. Although the staff were pleasant, they did not offer any assistance with luggage, or compensation/discount for bad experience. AVOID at all costs.

Nice. Older but nicely refurbished rooms and well kept. Excellent staff, helpful, knowledgeable, friendly, enjoying their jobs, great so see. Ancient elevator is quite unique, suggest using the wide stairs to go down since the antique lift is a bit pokey. Rooms are smallish as typical for downtown spots. Excellent location, excellent value.

The elevator had a very bad smell that I had to use the stires all through my stay. The walk way carpet was not placed well there was opening at the center, and it was dirty, funky smell on linen, and towel. Generally the hotel had a bad smell.

Do not recommend. Surprised to learn this hotel is on top of a bar that plays music with bass until 3am even on weekdays. While I was moved to another room on the opposite side I could still hear it. For a business that should provide sleep it's not delivering.

Dilapated room, poorly maintained. Feels like a cheap highway motel room you'd pay $40 a night for.

Temperature in room inconsistent (no thermostat, just window HVAC unit). Breakfast doesn't open until 7: 30am (too late).

It's Convenient for somewhere to crash for the night. Right by Burrard Station, Short walk to Canada Place. I'd bring an extension cord if you want to use your phone in bed. Window Heaters, No Heat in the Bathrooms so having a shower is very cold.

Cheap place, but to avoid. South Asian lady at front desk was over the top rude. As well as plus sized fked up accented Easten European staff.

Semi nice hotel. Pic is nothing like actual hotel. Parking is $50 additional at checkout and extremely hard to find. Took us an hour to find parking and correct parking lot. People were nice and hotel was okay. Hotel was so loud and super noisy street. Breakfast was absolutley awful and a waste of money. Bar next store was nice and a good night cap place. All in all not that great. Good location was main plus
