Update:
I was later contacted by Daytona’s service manager who offered to look at the issues I had with this visit. Looking back with a cooler head, it was not entirely fair of me to not give them that opportunity before writing this complaint. This does not change the spirit of disappointment and lost confidence shared in this review of my experience. I am delayed by the weather from this happening, as of yet.

I’m extremely disappointed with Daytonas service shop

Just brought my KTM 890 ADV into daytona for the first 1000km service. Oil was overfilled, chain wasn’t in spec. In fact it was almost twice as loose as it should be. Something smelled burning when I rode it (how I discovered oil was overfilled, so I let some out). Clutch was dipped forward and not where I had it (even with brake). Also every other shop I’ve been to they at least wipe up the bike a little. Grease hand marks left on my bike. Got my bike back before Christmas, Daytona is now closed for holidays, so I can’t even contact anybody to complain. Including patching my tire worm I filled, service cost me $790. For what I’m not exactly sure. If they messed up the things I can see, I doubt the boxes they checked off were done correctly, if at all! 140/hr shop rate for that garbage work? !

Very disappointed in the service shop here. Sad that I could have done a better job than there tech. Equally sad that no one would check this work before it left the shop.

Feel VERY ripped off.

What would you do? Shop doesn’t open up again for one more week

I dropped by and saw a phenomenal variety of bikes and equipment

I stopped in parts and mentioned the skid plates on display, asking what options they had for Gold Wings. I mentioned Traxxion sells an engine case guard and it is commonly used. The staff all disagreed.
The staff skipped the patronizing phase, jumped directly to condescending and moved a little into hostile, insisting no such product exists except for dual sport bikes. As the lecture grew tiresome, i departed.

Maybe they were mad they werent at the Abbotsford show.

Brought my Royal Enfield in for repair and the Yamaha Bolt they had for sale caught my eye at a great price. The friendly and courteous staff helped me through the whole process of getting a new bike. I couldn’t be happier with the trade in and upgrade. Thanks again. Definitely a crew of knowledgeable awesome people here.

Best mechanics ever always helped me out and got my bikes sorted out i also bought a used bike from them once and it was perfect i had them basically refurbish a used bike a couple of times too carbs chains sprockets tires it was as like brand new as you could get totally professionally run shop with good motorcycles techs thanks daytona!

The folks were super friendly. Very helpful with all our questions. It was a pleasant experience buying a new bike from them. Even the parts department was top notch. I think this will most likely be my go to bike shop.

Got my bike from Daytona yesterday. All the purchasing process went so smooth. Their communication level was top notch. Patrick was extremely helpful. Also Roger from the parts & service helped me out a lot to find the parts I needed. I gave 4 stars just because the fact that they did not have a stock of accesories for my bike which is a brand new model. But the source of this issue was Suzuki Canada. I was not expecting that. But all in all it was a great experience and this issue didn't affect my thoughts about their excellent customer service. I will take my bike to its first service here as well. I believe their customer service quality in service will be as good as sales. Thanks to Daytona team.

Upon deciding to purchase a 2023 Yamaha FJR1300ES, the question was from where? I already owned two motorcycles that I was not riding much and was tired of carrying two insurance policies. The idea was to trade 2-for-1 for something I will enjoy riding more. Starting east of 200th Street, I felt somewhat low-balled on the trade-in value and explored other dealers and options. My 2014 Ninja 1000 sold privately within days of advertising on CL at close to my (realistic) asking price.
When I brought my remaining cruiser bike to Patrick at Daytona, he was a true gentleman and offered a trade-in value that we both thought was fair. Considering the tax advantage on the trade-in value, why bother waiting for CL responses; I signed the deal the same day!
Patrick kept me informed of the shipping status of my FJR from Yamaha Canada and gave sound advice on available accessories and tip-over protection. I ended up ordering the T-Rex frame slider kit from the parts department.
Delivery Date was awesome! The bike was PDI’d and ready to go at the agreed time, Patrick took the time to carefully explain break-in requirements and other important maintenance points from the owner’s manual, an insurance agent was onsite to take care of the ICBC. Full payment and documentation was quick and seamless.
If you’re in the market for a new or used motorcycle with or without trade-in, you owe it to yourself to see Patrick and the team at Daytona Motorsports Vancouver. They will treat you with respect and won’t waste your time! Happy riding and stay safe!

Just thought I'd leave a few words to express how grateful I am for the people at Daytona Motorsports Patrick Jenie and Laura are just amazing People to work with.originally I was supposed to get a brand new Yamaha R7 3 while waiting for that bike a 2003 CBR600RR came up in their inventory that peaked my interest I was able to switch my deposit from the Yamaha R7 to the CBR600RR no problem no questions asked they help me out in every aspect of getting my bike on the road from gear to insurance they had everything in house at decent prices I can't say enough good things about Daytona Motorsports they've got a customer for life in me

Finally, a retailer who cares! I was looking for a new motorcycle helmet. I expected the same indifferent level of service I found elsewhere. Janine was incredible; she spent time with me, helped find the brand of helmet that fit properly. What a difference that makes! She wasn’t just trying to sell me things. I bought my new MT09 with Blake on an add through Facebook marketplace. He was was very professional and responded quickly to my questions. When I got to Daytona Motorsports he was very knowledgeable and went through the bike with me in great detail. He really set me up for success. Blake in sales is great - he listened to where I was at with motorcycling, and didn't try to push anything I didn't want or am ready for. I mean, everyone who works in sales has a job to do - which is sell - but my experience buying a bike from Daytona was that Blake was a genuine guy throughout.

Got my KTM 390 about a month ago. Blake was very helpful and accomodating and making sure I can have my 1st bike in Canada. I went in the morning, got loan approved in the afternon and got the bike the following day. Transaction was fast and easy. I salute to the Sales team of Daytona.

Went in on a busy day with lots of customers around. While everybody’s busy and have their own transactions, Blake went out and excuse himself from the others so I can be helped.later he excused himself again to help others as well and came back to me for further assistance. He has been doing that for couple of hours and trying to help as many as he could. Its very rare to find such a great customer service when we are struggling with staff shortages in Canada. Bless you Blake and Daytona for having a great staff like you!

My experience with Daytona in the past have ranged from fair to good, but my recent interaction can only be described as bizarre. Marie needs to take a course on customer service and in particular how to listen effectively before coming to a wrong conclusion, and blowing me off. Janine wasn't much better and as manager she should know better too. I'll be unlikely to give much future business as there are several other much better local options that give fantastic service.

I bought my first helmet in the shop, because shop helmet online take too much time for delivery. The staff is friendly and patient help me find out which one is fit my head. I grabbed the Scorpion T-510. The staff told me its 309.9 cad. Then I back home I just found all T510 is on sales on the net. I have not make comparison with another shop, so I can not say I paid around 100 cad more with a same product, it seems like for the service. May check the price for other approach before you pay, the helmet is not returnable, you might save money.

I've been to a couple motorcycle dealership in the past few months hoping to find myself a new bike for the coming spring. I've been very unsure on what type of motorcycle I wanted to get next.
And most didn't take me to serious when it came to asking questions.
I guess they didn't assume I had money in my pocket to buy right than and there.

Walking into Daytona motorsports was probably one of the best experience I had when browsing for a bike.

Patrick was more than helpful when it came to helping me with all my questions and picking out my new ride,
I was on the fence about getting super moto at first,
After some discussion he pointed in the direction of some street naked bikes
I ended up getting a 2019 sv650 and absolutely love it the second I twisted the throttle
Not only was it a great costumer service experience, but having him take the time to go thru the owner manual and show me everything I should know about my sv650 was really the icing on the cake!

If I could give this place 0 star I would gladly do so. I brought my scooter in for a quote since its mirrors, lights and top case got smashed in an accident. The guy said he’ll call me the next day to let me know how much everything will cost but after a week of not hearing back from him, I called to follow up, and of course, the line was always busy. I gave it another week and finally someone picked up the call saying he’ll call me back right away once he retrieves the quote. Nothing. Its been 3 months now and I still haven’t heard back from them. I even called the other location but the rep gave me the excuse du jour, “they are always busy at that particular location”. I rest my case for one of the worst customer services that I have ever had!

I have bought two motorcycles from Daytona and Patrick. They give amazing service and really look after you when you purchase a new or used motorcycle.

Fenton the owner also I didn’t know works in the service department. I brought my motorcycle in for service he helped me with parts and upgrades.

I recommend these guys 100% for service and sales.

It's been many years since my first experience with Daytona and now I totally change my view on them. I went from 5 starts to 1. They are expensive, unorganized and unreliable. Good luck getting a hold of anyone on the phone, they'll even admit that. Being busy is one thing but being understaffed an unable to assist customers is another. Parts take months to get in and costs are overpriced. Most of your maintenance can be done by yourself. YouTube will teach you. Forget these guys. If you have to take your bike in go to holeshot or rising sun. Forget daytona.

They destroyed the transmission of my vintage bike including 2 brand new gears I supplied them with. Now I can’t get parts to fix it as they are discontinued. At great cost I would have to get them made to repair the bike to make it run again. They had my bike for 9 months in total and I am left with my bike in boxes. It is disgusting how they treat their customers.

I’d buy anywhere else, but convenience won out.

This is the best dealership in the lower mainland by far, took care of a warranty repair for a brand new KTM Superduke 1290 R what was less than 3 months old that was purchased from another dealer who wouldn't even look at the bike. Fenton and Brandon were exceptionally polite and professional, they legitimately tried their best and actually cared about my situation and got me back on the road much, much quicker than MRM. I regret not purchasing a bike from these guys but am referring them to friends and will likely buy my next bike from them.

If you're looking for a KTM bike and are worried about the manufacturers spotty warranty approvals, buy your bike here, they will take care of you as they did for me, can't recommend them enough.

Don’t waste your time here! Daytona does not stand behind the bikes they sell even when they are brand new with no kms on them. Have had nothing but issues on my bike and they just laugh at the issues to the point where I was in a collision because of there incompetence. Most of their Mechanics are just apprentices who don’t know what they are doing. The owner does not care about us consumers. Also they refuse to give you and documents when you take your bike in. I’ve had it to them 4 plus times and they refuse to give me and documents for all the trips I’ve taken in.

Don't waste your time with Roger in the parts department. He ordered wrong parts and it's taking over 4 weeks. Incompetent staff and over priced cheap Suzuki parts. There are better dealerships and staff in BC.

Took close to 5 months to fix damage on my bike fairings and failed to provide firm date for when work will be completed and required me to follow up about 10 times with service center before they got my bike fixed. Not recommended.

They have had my motorcycle for over 2 months, and have kept telling me that ICBC hasn’t approved the repairs. I call my ICBC adjuster and she says that they haven’t sent in any reports, and if they had, it would have only taken 2 days for them to approve it. She said there is no way it should be there for 2 months. My adjuster also mentioned that Daytona should have supplied a courtesy or rental motorcycle while mine is in the shop. Yet that was never mentioned. My bike is just sitting there not getting fixed, not even having a report sent in, all the while they haven’t even given me a bike to ride.

Beware of the Parts Department. Trying to get a receipt for a $500 plastic part (bought over the phone) seems to require you explaining your "feelings" and your "day" - then having the phone hung up and no receipt. The guy in the Parts Dep't - unprofessional goof, AVOID. Thankfully I sold my bike and are now out of their matrix going forward.

Picked up my TW200 there in April. Patrick, the sales manager, was great to deal with as we orchestarted the deal over the phone and arranged pick-up. In fact all the staff were friendly and professional, right to the Stan Wong, their insurance guy. A very good overall experience. Highly recommended.

Parts guy have a great deal of arrogance to give you when you order something from him. Will tell you to have some patience when all you want to ask is some general information. Other staffs are nice. Buy your bike here. Do everything else at a better place.

By far the best Motorsports dealer in Vancouver. Their customer service is superb. I may not have been to every single dealer but they are the one to beat in my opinion. Be it the guys at the bikes floor, Simon and Patrick, or Tony and the guys at the accessories and parts department. I'm a guy who look deceptively young (as in a child, lol) because of my stature, and unemployed (probably my fault more so with how I dress), but I've never been missed by any employee here. I'm always approached within 10 -15 minutes of arrival even if I'm outside and checking out the bikes. Unless of course when they're really busy which is understandable. Though I've never bought a bike here before, I trust that if I did, I'd be well taken care of.

Purchased a Yamaha BWS 50 from Simon. He was super patient with me, considering, the whole purchase was by phone. After everything was said and done, for a small fee, Simon met me at Tsawwassen terminal with my new scooter. For great service, call and ask for Simon!

Brought my scooter in for an overheating problem and a tune up. Picked it up, paid $300.00, drove it home and the temp light came on and it was overheating again. Called them and they said they never even looked at this problem and was told to bring it back. Couldn't bring it back as I was afraid I'd blow the engine. Had to find/hire a mobile scooter mechanic. Turns out my water pump had gone. There was coolant in the oil and oil in the coolant. The mechanic said this would have been very visible when they changed my oil but nothing was said to me and they just put new oil in and left my coolant full of oil! Called them again to express my disappointment when I ordered the new water pump, and the guy didn't even care. Didn't acknowledge they messed up, didn't apologize at all and actually was very rude! $300 to change the oil, install a new spark plug and air filter and top up the brake fluid and gear oil.and left with the overheating problem which could have resulted in a blown engine. My new mechanic charged me $80.00 to change the water pump and flush and re fill my oil/coolant, which took about 2 1/2 hours. Thanks guys for a terrible service!

These guys are the worst scam artist in the motor cycle business. They used to have a huge amount of bent and broken parts. That was before they went bust about twenty years ago. I see they are back, writing glowing reviews about themselves. The “service” you get is what some call “ the bull service”. So expect to get a screwed, take some bum lube, you’ll need it.

Turn around time is so long you will forget you have a bike. If you bring your bike here you WILL NOT get an honest answer about progress, or even when it will get worked on. You WILL NOT get any contact updating you on info of what is needed. You will not be treated with respect. You will not get get basic treatment expected from a "professional mechanic shop"

I called them for a kill switch, guy on the phone said it should take about 5 or 6 days.never got a phone call and had to leave town for work, when I got back I found that my bike had been stolen so I called and asked if they could just send the part back seeing as I hadn't picked it up from them yet. Their response was a plain and cold no stating it had been over 30 days. I wouldn't recommend dealing with them unless you are in desperate need and know they have it in stock otherwise there's many other options and unfortunately I learned that the hard way.

They may have a nice showroom, but all they wanna do is take your money and not take care of you. This shop has shady practices and won't do honest good work, claiming they can fix your bike good and fast but often underdeliver on all fronts. If you want your bike properly taken care of, avoid this stealership.

Bought a Suzuki TU250X here in Oct. 2017. The owner's manual was missing. The salesperson tried to track it down and could not locate it. He said he would order me another one. I never did get an owner's manual, despite calling twice about it. I had to order a manual at my own expense over the internet.

I try to support local shops, but these guys just mark everything up to an insane amount. Can get better deals on better stuff from premium brand dealerships in town. Shop rate is the same as BMW/Ducati now, I mean isn't that supposed to be the proposition from the Japanese brands, better value. Sales team is also generally pretty aloof to my presence. Meh.

Bike came in had leak serviced. Same leak reappeared and I brought in the bike before the very short return period and I expected the labour to be covered. When I returned to pay for the parts and take my bike they expected me to pay the full amount. 850$ on top the 1750$ I was charged less than a week before with the main issue being the leak. Nothing but excuses. I paid and left with a bad taste in my mouth.

I came here to get an inner tube for my moped. After phoning around Daytona was the only place that had the correct (rare) size in stock.

I was also looking for 2-stroke oil and the guy recommended some. After looking it up online it looks he was right and it's one of the best around.

Prices were maybe a bit higher than average but overall I'm quite happy considering the good inventory and advice. I'll be going here again.

Gear saleswoman (I think it was Vicky?) was fantastic. Knew her stuff very well. Sized and tried lots of stuff on. Super knowledgable. Great prices too.

Rest of staff was nice too. I'll be sure to come back if I need something.
