These guys are crooks, beware! Do not give them any money upfront (if you choose to hire them) they will take your money, and run. When you demand they finish the work you paid them for, they will try to turn it on you, and try to take you to small claims court. BELEIVE all the bad reviews. I think they are in deep financial trouble and will do anything to get money.

I was shocked at the reviews and the long list of ppl suing this company, the court dates were endless, I had called to get a quote and as usual looked up reviews. Be very careful dealing with this company! Read reviews 1st

Terrible Company to deal with, had to hold there hand through the whole build. Extra charge after extra charge. Didn’t show up for 4-6 weeks near the end of build cause they took on too much work. Had to threaten to sue them to get them to come back and finish the job.

They do not pay their vendors or trades people. We did work not being paid. Being ignored by the owner.
We went back to the the client's homes to see if any problems from our end. The client's we're so surprised for our visit as they paid Deaflevel in full One even has a fair bit of work to be done in their home and Deadlevel is not completing.

They keep on being told delays etc. Turns out they cant complete because trades are not being paid.

ZERO stars if I could. We hired Dead Level in December to do a large house reno/ shop addition on our forever home. We fiercely regret hiring and trusting this company. They refuse to communicate with their clients who have paid them, don't pay their trades, leave damage to your property, tell you delivery dates that never happen and just stop showing up! I could go on but will keep this short. We are left with a half finished reno (no roof, no floor ect) and LIENS ON OUR HOME from trades they didn't pay. Do NOT recommend.

The worst company to use as they don't pay any of their sub trades. We are owed an outstanding balance of over $82,000.00! In my 31 years of being in the construction business, I've never seen a company like this. They do not have a proper business address, the one on the website is fake. Bob and Walter are frauds. They will not reply to anyone who they owe money to. If you want leins put on your home even after you have paid Deadlevel then go ahead use them.

Dead level construction does not pay their trades. We are currently owed over $25,000 by Dead Level, and the owner refuses to even respond to an email. This money is owed dating back to October 2020. There is a long paper trail with the company acknowledging that they owe the money, they simply choose not to pay.

We currently have 2 liens against properties that we worked on, but never received payment for. The owners of the properties were unaware that this money was still owed to us, and now have to deal with the legalities of their house having a lien. Unfortunately in construction, when you're dealing with a company that doesn't pay their trades, the problems fall back on the homeowners, rather than the company causing the issues.

I would highly suggest finding another company to trust with your project, as there are plenty out there that operate honestly and efficiently. If you do proceed with Dead Level, or have already paid a deposit on a project, and decide to proceed, it is in your best interest to withhold a large portion of what is owed until after the 45 day lien period has expired, or you could find yourself in the same situation others have, being liable for legal action, even though you did nothing wrong.

We recently had some work done by Dead Level. Riley and the crew were knowledgeable, skilled, and professional from the initial estimate stage all the way to the final inspection. I would definitely use them again and would highly recommend them to friends and family. Thanks for the great work guys!

This company does not pay its contractors. My close friends dad and brother did extensive work Dead Level, and they skipped out on paying a large bill, which small businesses need to survive and take care of their families. The owner has gone completely silent, and doesn't offer the simple respect of communicating with the people he owes money to. They have not made any attempt whatsoever to settle the situation fairly. Judging by other reviews on Google, they are not the only ones this has happened to. Stay away from this company, they cannot be trusted.
