Deas Island is always a peaceful walk with my dogs (on leash rules) through flat trails and beautiful trees and ocean and raptors and owls! Great spots for large picnics and the Rowing Club offers a public dock for launching non-motorized boats. Nice little spot away from the fray.

Varying shade and sunny paths. Quiet when I went. Interesting historical information, including a watch tower to see higher.

Canopy of trees protect you from rain, wind and sun. People enjoy fishing, rowing and paddle boarding in this park. Stroller friendly trails, all pets need to be leashed. It's recommend bringing you're own fresh water and doggy bags. Restrooms available during open hour.

Nice park with water view! Good place for a quick hike or a walk with your dog. Plenty of parking and a couple of washrooms nearby.

Great place for a long walk. Nice, easy to walk trails. The Dyke Loop Trail is probably the nicest.
02 January 2023 13:23
Nice, quiet place. Has some walking trails, water views, a cool lookout and some interesting heritage buildings.

Really beautiful place. Nice trails but in summer there are a lot of mosquitoes and the walking path can be very dusty. In the winter they are open until only 7 which means you might have to walk fast if you are going for an evening walk.

Nice little place to have a quiet picnic beside the river. I enjoyed a nice view of the river from a vantage point on the shore and found the ambiance on even a Labour Day afternoon to be relaxing and enjoyable. That will stick in my memory and when I'm in the area with some time on my hands, I'll quite likely stop in again.

A beautiful walk in nature, in the middle of the city. Paths are well groomed and easily accessible, winding through marsh and forest, and along the shore. Not too busy.
Highly recommended!

Nice park with paths a dock and plenty of parking. No concessions stands so you need to prepare and bring what you need food, water, etc. Few picnic tables next to the water so you can enjoy the view. Would love it if there was a place to rent rowboats or canoes. There is a rowing club but for members only

The park is amazing, the no biking on trails is a shame. The water-skiing used to be great, busy weekends, weekdays not so bad however once the wake boats show up, Has been a challenge for quite a few years now with many arrogant boaters out there.
Lots of screaming and hand signs.
Don't even think to have fun out there, make sure to go somewhere else.
It's time to get rid of those monster boats, like many locations in Canada have now banned wake boating on lakes and water ways.reason is extreme errosion of the shore.

Beautiful, peaceful, scenic spot to get some fresh air and touch of nature.
Great to bring young kids here to do some outdoor activities.
Great for parties and gatherings as there is a sheltered gazebo with benches and tables. There are trails for people to walk on and they are nice and short!

It is a good park worth exploring. I suggest to go all the way to the western most tip of the island where hidden view can be experienced.
04 April 2022 19:21
Nice and quiet park. The trails are amazing and beautiful. Also great for outdoor gatherings.there's a rowing club operating nearby where they provide training and rentals.

Incredible park with lots of nature paths, wildlife, old heritage homes and plenty of parking and space for social distancing. There are public bathrooms near the parking area. Highly recommend visiting during the summertime, but definitely bring water and some good walking shoes. If you want to be surrounded by beautiful wetland, marshy forests and a view of the water, this is the place to be. You can hear all the sounds of the birds around you and encounter some really neat insects, too.

02 April 2022 22:47
Boring, out of no where location. Lots of eagles. It's good to see it once and that's it.

The park is clean though

Very well maintained trails. Beautiful and nice scenery of Vancouver but also of the slough. Many people walking dogs and it is shared trail with horses.
06 March 2022 22:53
Nice park for a quick workout. If you enjoy running pr walking by the water and surrounded by trees and nature, you will love this place. There are a few picnic tables too. Serene and quiet.

Great easy trails on a loop. All trails lead out basically. Great for watching our sitting by the flowing river. Plus it feels cool to walk over the tunnel. Great easy walk!

Great local day trip. Bring your bike, or walk or your horse it is a great place to enjoy. A picnic would be perfect.
28 October 2021 9:19
Just beautiful. Great for hiking and biking (on some trails), and has a bit of heritage too! You can even bring your horses, although most trails are just for walking passengers. Super nice for a day trip!
03 September 2021 21:21
Another little gem. A place to get out of the sun on a hot day. A great place to go for a walk and a great place to bring the family on a picnic.
05 August 2021 12:16
Busy place and the rowers can be very rude acting like they own the water but it's nice calm water that's nice for water sports
28 July 2021 17:36
A real nice feature is the view of the river along the walks. Actually saw a seal splashing about today.
24 July 2021 23:07

06 July 2021 5:21
Typically, we've ways enjoyed Deas Island, but this visit, with motor sports Completely ignoring the signs about times for paddle.sports, we didn't find it as peaceful for our family in kayaks and SUP's
11 June 2021 12:59
Trail was mostly well-maintained and beautiful. Found one pile of horse dung in a side trail.

The main problem I have with the place are the visitors. Few of them wore masks despite windy conditions and narrow paths.
05 June 2021 8:16
Beautiful park with nice trail along the river. No hills which is nice for casual walking. I've seen Eagles, geese and rabbits there plus other various birds. Went canoing in Deas slough for the first time today. Nice place close to home for an easy paddle. Power boats seemed to respect the speed restrictions in Slough.
26 May 2021 11:26
Beautiful park. Many areas that were very tranquil on a Thursday late afternoon. I want to come here more often.
07 April 2020 21:48
Love walking along fraser river under shadow of trees with view of new west, Burnaby and Richmond all the way to Island Tip.
28 February 2020 1:59
Hidden gem. You can always find a table and a parking spot here. We come here often with friends and our big families and we always have fun.
03 October 2019 4:28
Beautiful setting. Good amenities. Lots of free parking. Bbq pits. Please park in designated areas, otherwise a parking ticket can ruin the experience. Walking trails, rowing facility, if possible do take your bicycle. It can be fun.
24 September 2019 23:08
Nice place to relax, stroll, boat, fish, or picnic/BBQ. Nice water views of the south shore of Richmond, Vancouver skyline, and North Shore mountains.
04 September 2019 20:28
Love this place.its one of my boyfriend miguel and my places to watch the stars and the boats pass by we go usually a couple times a week and sometimes we even just have a little picnic I really love this place because you go in one car by yourself and you end up meeting other people and have great conversations and it really makes me happy to be a tourist in my own City I hope that everybody else will take the opportunity to try to become a tourist in your own City and explore all that we have to offer if you need suggestions for a great day date I suggest Steveston walking around the wharf as well as Britannia shipyards a nice Dyke walk would be great as well as Landon Farms is absolutely beautiful you can find me at the farm painting some days and just enjoying life providing that we have our son but it's a great summer venue to go to and when it's open you can have high tea there as well as take a tour of the Landon House I strongly suggest taking a visit

A nice park on the Fraser river in North Delta, about 15 minutes drive from the Steveston exit on 99 South.

The park has large tall trees and benches under the shades of those trees.

We came here for a picnic one Sunday afternoon. It is a quiet place. We enjoyed our time here.

There are clean washrooms in good working order.
30 August 2019 15:54
Lots of fun. Picnic tables, washrooms, good for kayaking and kids getting wet. Not much of swimming buy okay for young children to play in water
29 August 2019 13:32
Visited several times for wild life watching. Eagles were there. There are several trails available all year round.
23 August 2019 18:39
Easy trials for hiking, one bike trail outside of park, several picnic stops never over crowded
09 August 2019 3:21
Good place to have picnic or to just have a walk with your dog. I'm not 100% sure if bicycles are allowed in the park but i saw some people riding bikes so it must be ok. Could use more trail network for hiking or biking
19 July 2019 2:49
Good time to enjoy with friends and family by enjoying the nature the Fraser River and a great walk.
05 July 2019 9:56
Perfect place to walk your dog and relax but the con is. It is next to a highway with plenty of cars and it quite noisy.
05 January 2019 13:14
Super place for families and even has a private campground to rent. Nice trails and picnic places.
29 October 2018 12:19
This is a quiet and relaxing park located in ladner, right across the Fraser river from Silvercity in Richmond.
19 June 2018 11:18
Visited this park for the first time a couple days ago. A little gem in a busy area. Spotted a bald eagle, a couple of garden snakes and numerous birds. Well maintained trail and facilities. The trails are flat and well maintained overall. However, there are numerous mosquitos in the park (bring bug protection) and for allergy sufferers, there is a large amount of cottonwood trees which have “snow fluff”. It looks beautiful floating through the air, but will wreck havoc on people who have allergies.
