Deep Cove Brewers and Distillers

Been to the brewery a few times, nice feel to the place, beers very decent and the foods good too. Had a great night at the 80’s party, recommend checking out their future special events!

First the positive. The food and beer is great, the staff are excellent. But the price for a sandwich and a hand full of loose greens is extreme.

We use to go weekly but when two plates of food and two beers come to 70ish bucks after tip we decided to only go on a monthly visit. We were good with that.

But last we went the other day we notices that the tip options were 18,20,25% that's too high! AND what really hammered the last nail is when we decide to give an appropriate tip (was going to do %16) the other option was "custom" but that just asks for a pin number. So we would have to ask the server to give a lower tip than what was offered. That's ridiculous. We shouldn't need a pin for that. Never seen that anywhere else. So we skipped the hassle and did the 18% 11.50. For a total of maybe a minute of direct service. We were willing to pay inflation amounts and come less frequent. Everything is more expensive right now I get it. But the tip did it. We paid the 18% and left for the last time. Pay your employees better and please keep tips reasonable.

Three stars are for good food, drink, and employee's.negative two stars for overall price, and ridiculous tip policies.

Maybe later next year well check back and see if things are more reasonable. But till then we will be trying the competition in the area.

Love this place. Nice drinks, nice atmosphere and great food. You can always stop by to play a board game with your friend at the same time you drink your beer.

Great place for a drink and a bite with friends or to grab some beers for home. Went for the 80s party which was awesome and tons of fun.

Yummy eats and nice selection of beers. Jalapeño Wit was definitely a hit! Great vibe and top notch service from Kait. Hope to be around for the Friday evening live music next time.

Deven is the BEST! Such a great personality and always has a smile while giving great service. All the staff are friendly and attentive within a great environment. We have been coming to DCB since it opened and it continues to get better from the menu, choice of drinks, staff and friendly atmosphere. A top community establishment.

Always a solid place to grab a pint.
Beer selection is always on point, lots of off sales and many varieties of beer and cider to choose from to suit your tastes.
Lots of seating inside and out, plenty of parking in the parking lot, great tunes and atmosphere and friendly helpful staff.
I've been here a handful of times and I always enjoy myself.
Prices as well are decent for beers and they do actually serve true Canadian 20oz pints!

I have not been to Deep Cove Brewers in quite some time, but I know I will be back. Isabella was our server and she was excellent! Really good service and a great personality. She made excellent food and beverage suggestions.

A few friends and I went to deep cove brewers after a day of biking and we were all more then pleased. The beer was delicious and the service great. A special shout-out to our server Isabella. She was very attentive and made sure we were taken care of at all times. Highly recommend for anyone in the area.

This was one of the best experiences I’ve had at a Brewery. Our server, Isabella, was the highlight of the visit. Her knowledge of the menu, efficient service, and great attitude made for an unforgettably pleasant experience. I will no doubt be back to this brewery and will absolutely be requesting Isabella as my server!

Had such an awesome experience at deep cove brewing recently. The beer was delicious and the food menu was simple but great and better than most breweries. Our server Bianca was also outstanding. Will be going back soon!

Food and beer was great! Unfortunately, after over 15 min waiting at our table I went to the front to order. I was told it was «  hectic ». Our server just walked out in front of us and did not settle the bill with us. We had to ask for the bill. Other patrons were told to order at the bar because table service was not available anymore.

Great experience overall and even better service. Katie was our server and made our experience and stay very welcoming and comfortable. Definitely recommend the great atmosphere and even better beers!

DCB has been our fav local brewery since it opened and never disappoints! Service and beer are always amazing - shout out to Bianca…made out eve just perfect along with the DC Lager!

I really like the updated food menu. Delicious lobster rolls and crab cakes. Good beer and cider.

We were very excited to go there, but was very disappointing. It took them a while to come clean our table, and our order gor missed somehow, waiting for 45 minutes to get it, and they just said sorry we're busy.
The beer was nice but the food was very mediocre and not warm enough.

OK, Beers are amazing, ceasars are on point. If you get Kaitlyn as a server she knows her stuff and has great recommendations. Odd they don't have a vegan option. I love giant pickles.

Staff was friendly and the beer was very good, but the lobster roll was made entirely without any lobster. Crab stick, which is known as fake crab, is not lobster meat and has no place on a lobster roll. Very disappointing and misleading

Hosted a retirement party at Deep Cove Brewers and Distillers and I couldn't have been happier. They were great to work with, super accommodating and helpful with every question I had along the way. I would definitely host another event there again soon.

As always the food and beer was great! I had lots of positive reviews from guests that had never visited the brewery before.

Today we decided to finally try the Deep Cove Brewery and we were very glad to have done so. The beer, the food and the service were all excellent. We are looking forward to returning soon to try some more beers and menu items. Thank you to all the great staff!

Great little gem of a brew pub, with so much more than just beer on offer. I tried an ipa / gin cocktail. Delicious! As was the lobster roll. Good food, good drink, good LIVE music, good service and all around great vibe.

Great beer and really good service! We had Katie as our server and she was very helpful and attentive. She went above and beyond to check on us and make sure that everything was to our liking. Lovely welcoming atmosphere.

I recently started working close by and have been going to Deep Cove Brewers and Distillers a couple of times a month for the past six months.

Lucas usually is our server, and his low-key and authentic personality is a perfect fit for the Dollarton/Deep Cove area.

It is a pleasure to enjoy conversations, good food, and great beer in an environment free from big-screen TVs, uniformed staff, and similar corporate-imposed contrivances common with far too many establishments.

I hope Deep Cove Brewers and Distillers stays just the way it is for years to come.

A friend brought me here when I first visited Vancouver and I loved it! Awesome vibe and nice outdoor seating for the warmer days.

Really lovely place for its casual atmosphere good and a affordable brews, and a pretty good food menu too.

Disappointed by their menu accuracy today though. I was intrigued by their Shandy that's supposed to be mixed with cider but they used juice out of a squirt bottle. Also asked for a sparkling water and got charged $5 for "San Pellegrino" that was actually a can of Canada Dry. Really hope this kind of thing doesn't become more of a pattern.

Very rude service, the server that took my order at the bar was very rude to me as I was trying to order; so I decided not to tip after the server looked at my receipt they then proceeded to passively and aggressively place my receipt on the counter followed up by their comment of "nice tip bud" and then proceeds to place my flight of beers on the counter with a loud thud.

Update after contacting the owner they apologized on behalf of the staff member and hopes that my next visit will be better the rest of the staff was friendly and the food was alright.

Awesome service! I felt bad for the staff as there was a large group in being quite rude to them but they handled it very professionally. The staff was bullied and still were extremely professional in dealing with rude guests. Cocktails and beer are a must here!

Although the beer is good the customer service is very problematic. Not able to host larger groups. They were rude to a few colleagues of mine and gave away their sits while they were outside. If you can't handle large groups just say it initially before accepting them into your establishment.

Service is hit or miss, I recommended going when it’s not busy. Opens at 12noon, nice space, lots of natural light. Lots of parking. Large selection of rotating beer on tap, house made cocktails, Dickie’s ginger beer growler fills, live music on Friday and Saturday evening. Changing menu, good Mac and cheese. More food options available, including: tacos, pasta, sandwiches, charcuterie board, Mediterranean board, flatbread pizzas and bbq with an option of a giant pickle or side caesar. Family friendly, with patio being dog friendly as well! Distillery and brewery, well made vodka and gin including barrel aged options. The bison sticks beside the bar are worth a try on the way out! 5 dollar beer! And a happy hour 2-5.

Good place, nice beer but the service was terrible. The waitress was extremely rude. It was a large group and some people were joining later. Though the table had space they would not let them enter and join the table saying there are others waiting. The people waiting would not join an existing table and our friends were not taking anybody’s place. At one point, a waitress literally told a couple of people to get out of the place and wait. There was also the incident of taking one of the stools from our table while a friend was out for a smoke and giving it to somebody else and told us there are no more stools available. When we told them that the entire group would then walk out, the stools magically appeared.

Another instance was when a friend wanted to order some more after settling up, the waitress was pretty annoyed. I don’t get it. It’s more business for the restaurant. Why would you have a problem with that? Just because you have to place another order and swipe the card one more time?
Eventually one of the staff did apologise saying there was confusion since it was a big group! I appreciate her acknowledgment but that is still no excuse for how the rest of the staff behaved.

We came in to pick up a pack of beer and ended up staying for some great live music. Food was awesome…definitely recommend the pulled pork and the coffee blonde lager. Great staff. Cheers guys!

I'm pretty picky when it comes to beers but I can safely say that I have enjoyed every beer I have had here, even if there are ones I still prefer over others. The sour pack is the best sour pack I have ever had - usually there are one or two you don't enjoy as much in the packs but in this case we loved every single one. It wasn't just the sours either, the porter was great, the Saison was interestingly tasty, and the ethical bean blonde ale was actually one of my favorites and I usually don't like blonde ales. Hats off to the brew team here as they obviously take pride in their craft.

Grabbed a bite there last night and feel compelled to share the level of crazy good service the only server on staff - Nathan- serving a full house laid down. Dude was waiting on all the tables, seating guests, running food, washing dishes and bussing tables (and likely cooking all the food) - all without missing a beat! No one was waiting or wanting for anything. Dude was amazing! At first you might question why he was the only person working but once you witness his ability to run things, you get it.

First off. We have been here multiple times. Drinks are pretty good. Beers are great.

Service was ok for timeliness. Servers personality was great and really a nice person.

I guess this is more for the kitchen side. Food was really on the low Side. Worst nachos in 10 years.

Chicken burger sounded great but very bland.

Mac and cheese ok.

Expected way more from the a great place to hang.

I suggest just drinks.

Excellent Brie and Fig Flatbread! Have the Lobster Roll with the POG Sour! You won't be disappointed!

I've been to this brewery MANY times in the past (only for their beer, never food), but never have I experienced so much frustration. I'm plant based and was looking for a vegan option on the menu, given it's 2020 and plant based options are pretty much everywhere, I assumed that Deep Cove would have something I could eat. They did have one option, the Deep Cove Bowl, which has an egg, and I swapped out the egg for tofu (offered on another menu item). When I went to go pay for my bill, I noticed that I was charged $5 EXTRA for the tofu mod. I wasn't ADDING on tofu, I was swapping out the egg for tofu in order to make the only feasible vegan option something I could eat. Thought this was reasonable. The only explanation my server gave me was: "Oh, yeah, well eggs have a lower value than tofu". I'm sorry, but the last time I checked, you can buy 2 BLOCKS of organic tofu at most grocery stores in North Vancouver for the same price if not cheaper. And I'm betting the tofu I ate was not organic. Trust me when I say, I'm not a picky vegan. I'll eat anything. But when I'm charged $5 extra to swap out animal protein for veg protein, I'm not going to be happy. What was even worse was the manager's (I assume he's the manager? Although I can't quite tell because he didn't sign off on the email with any name or position.) response was very lacklustre. I didn't get an apology or anything—he actually just wanted me to do his work for him instead. Take a look at the email conversation yourself. Deep Cove, if you could acknowledge this and please come up with at least one vegan menu that doesn't cost an arm and a leg, maybe I'll be back. But until then, it looks like you guys have some work to do on your menu, your professionalism, your email correspondence grammar and spelling (it was painful reading the email response from Matt), and your management.

West coast beer tour continues with a stop at Deep Cove Brewery. Tonight’s menu is an assortment of Stouts and a few lagers and off coarse a hot pretzel. Big fan of the Nitro Stout and the Coconut Porter. Great joint with a wonderful atmosphere. Looking forward to coming back.

Food and beer was good. However the service wasnt great so my group tipped accordingly. Which then the waitress had the tenacity to ask us why we didnt tip more.ive never had anyone ask me that question which is beyond rude a tip isnt 100% mandatory its an extra for good service. Im definitely never going back

Great Beer and food. Super knowledgeable and friendly staff. Live music. The only negative point is high chairs inside are not that comfortable.

We included this establishment to our North Shore brewery tour, and I'm glad we did. At 5 pm on Friday, it was already jam-packed, and we had to wait for a bit, but after all, it was worth it. Great interior and friendly staff. An exciting choice of beers, most of them attention-worthy, but hazy IPA was my favorite there. As I said before, for many breweries in Lower Mainland food is a problem, not here though - absolutely delicious options available. Live music is a fantastic addition. Also to keep in mind that it's a distillery as well, so we are planning another visit to try their spirits. And I'm struggling to understand people creating gluten hysteria coming to a brewery. Like seriously.

Beer and spirit selection was fantastic. They werent shy about letting you try things before you commit including the spirits. Lexi our waitress was exceptional and made us feel super welcome. Will be back soon with our friends!

Great selection of beers, decent food menu as well. Portions have shrunk and prices have risen as it's got more popular, but still good quality.

I love this place, I have been comig here since they opened. The food menu is fantastic ale muscles are incredible and the smoked chicken is out of this world. The beer selection is another story. Raspberry saison has been my favorite. Free parking and great service. Cant recommend this place enough

Place is a bit of a guest service garbage fire. Beers are good but the staff are usually pretty zoned out and frequently make mistakes regarding orders. Food quality is not bad when it’s prepared properly but we have often received food with missing or unripe ingredients (the wait staff is always very apologetic and polite)

Beer is good. Food is good. Sometimes have live music. There is a covered patio for warm days. There is good parking available.

Awesome atmosphere, which is sometimes hard to find at this end of North Vancouver. We hit this up from time to time to enjoy the great food choices, drinks and crowd (live music too).

I come by this place every so often and although I do like their drinks and atmosphere, I do feel like the table service is lacking at times. Was there with 2 other friends and it took forever for a server to come to take our food and drink orders. Food itself is pricey for what it is but decent and I love the Caesars here.
Other than that the place itself is good and I do like going there mostly because most breweries on the north shore don't have the option of having good food service with good beer.

Great joint for some good old ale and good times with friends. Good selection and food is very good. Pulled pork burger was superb! Service is quick and location is convenient with free parking in front. Good number of ppl. There at 10PM on a Tuesday night, I was pleasantly surprised. Highly recommended!

Great craft beers! They also have their own brand of Gin and Vodka.
Definitely must try the Deep cove lager.
You can carry their craft beers out in vans and bottles (6 cans at least though:/)
The friendly staff and communal seating (indoor and outdoor) make up an amazing atmosphere!

Great beer, friendly staff, and a good atmosphere. Service is quick when it's not too busy.

They have just recently added a short wine list but it's really all about the craft beer and spirits.

There's usually live music on Fridays and Saturdays.

Understaffed - weighted over an hour for food. And when it came it was a little average and left you wanting more. Nice decor and good vibes we are just still hungry

Great local spot, nice selection of local craft beers, and although we didn't eat, the kitchen was busy sending out sliders, mussels, and what looked like mini pizzas. Only negative was the musician had his sound system cranked WAY TOO LOUD. Several customers actually left before ordering anything.

Great Beer, Great food, live good music on weekends.enough space even though it was full. This is a must whether you in a crowd or a couple. Great efficient friendly and quick service. Fully worth the 5 stars. A great evening was had by all. A place to visit if you enjoy good beer

Great atmosphere and excellent service. They even have live music at night. Good size place. The food looked delicious but I didn't get a chance to try any. Seems like there are a few regulars there as well.
