We went there last week for dinner. We love their steamed Halibut with garlic, preserved vegetables and chili dish. The set come with rice and a small bowl of fish soup. They are delicious.

If you have a hankering for customized noodle soup. You can’t really go wrong coming here.

You’re not coming here for service unless you speak Cantonese and can befriend one of these busy aunties. You’re coming for quick, flavourful, soups or one of their other cooked dishes. And it hits the spot.

Wide range of options for ordering, massive MASSIVE portion. Like, what - you can save half and eat it for lunch again if you wanted to.

Average pricing, cheaper than going out for a pasta meal.

I order delivery from here A LOT. Recently I've noticed they started charging $1.80 for "requested add-ons" but I have no requests, nor did I ask for cutlery/sauces. It's scammy that a restaurant is doing this. Imagine the profit charging nearly $2.00 for every takeout/ delivery order.

Food is fine, but nowhere what it used to be.

One of our favorite noodles soup to go in Vancouver besides Vietnamese noodles soup (pho). You can have several different choices of soup broths - I'd recommend the peanut sauce broth or Tom yum soup broth, the best for sure.
The portion was quite generous, great quality and best bang for your bucks!

Great food, so-so service, always noisy, seats are not comfortable and don't have enough privacy. Popular for teenagers and Chinese elder.

Hong Kong style serving noodle soup and rice dishes. IE chose you broth and toppings. Went for lunch. The seating was comfortable and place was clean. Had the Laksa flavor for the noodle soup, pan-fried halibut and chicken wings. Both the Laksa and halibut were good but I really liked the Laksa flavor. The wings were ok but I would not order them again. Prices are reasonable and portions were decent. Service was excellent. I would definitely go back.

Smoothies were good. Had their rice bowl with spareribs in black bean sauce- sorry excuse for a meal. The “ribs” were just bone pieces with barely any meat on it, and lots of fat. Black bean sauce was nonexistent. Basically spent $12 for a bowl of rice.

Ordered a bowl of soup noodle, my selection was ginkgo and pepper fish soup, sliced beef and sausage with rice noodle. The pepper flavor in the soup base was so mild that I couldn’t taste it. Beef was not tender. Worst is the takeout container, the lid doesn’t fit the container tightly, causing the soup to leak out and wet my car seat. I don’t mind paying the 50 cents for the container but expect at least a standard one with tightly sealed lid.

Foods is tasty and fine but, price is getting unreasonably higher, services definitely need improvement. No WiFi provision is Not good.

Used to be a 5-star for me but the most recent visit was subpar at best. In short price increased with quality decreased. My partner’s soup had 2 pieces of bean curd only with a bonus of a strand of hair?

A great place to go with family (I went with my dad). They don't take too long to serve the food but you have enough time to converse with your family before it arrives. The portions are also quite large so you can eat about half, start a conversation, and then continue eating.

Really enjoyed the concept of creating your own type of noodle soup with different options listed on their ordering menu.
Each bowl did include some vegetables as a standard order base. The milk tea and coffee are HK style and included with the price $14.25. Get 10% off between 3pm to 6pm.
Courteous, friendly, and helpful staff who made our first time experience a very tasty and enjoyable one. They follow all covid protocols and vaccine passports a must.

Had their fish soup noodle. I choose tomato and pumpkin fish soup. Soup was nice and hot which is perfect for a cold winter day. I added pork hock and fish puff as toppings. Pork hock needed to be cooked longer as it wasn't tender. And fish puff unfortunately wasn't as fresh as usual. I love the fish puff as it's hard to find. Too bad wasn't so fresh.

Deer Garden Signatures used to be bumpin' with quick service, well-priced dishes and delicious customizable noodle soup + drink combinations.

Long gone are those days - went to the Fraser St location this late afternoon and my experience was sub par.

I went at 5: 00pm, as they have 'happy hour' special - 10% off your bill between 3: 30-6pm. Before being invited further in to a table they take your temperature. Second, they seat you and take your contact tracing information. Perfect.

We're given the usual pen and ordering papers; you order a soup base, toppings, noodle type and a hot/cold beverage. The restaurant wasn't too busy, perhaps 3-4 tables eating/ready to pay. Staff was busy tending to the phone and running to the back, therefore I had to get up and drop off the order sheets to the till for them to get processed.

Long story short my hot milk tea arrived after my meal, and after asking them 2x to please check up on our drinks - both hot milk tea. First time the server said its coming, second time (halfway done our meals) the server rudely said to 'wait! ' in Cantonese. By the time the drinks were brought we had already finished our food. The hot milk tea was extremely bitter too! We quickly left the establishment without finishing our drinks as we didn't want to linger any longer due to covid.

Tldr: unfriendly, borderline rude service. Beverages came after finishing meal. Long gone are the days of speedy, affordable friendly service. One star for food, one star for 10% off.

A lot of my friends swear by this place when they want some comfort food. The service is fast, the portion is huge and we also have many choices from toppings to the actual noodles. I’m sure we will be back here again and again! Go early if you don’t want to line up!

The Western set meal is a complete bait. For $11.75, you get one small piece of protein, a bowl of rice, a small portion of corn and 3 cubes of cucumbers. You get a bigger piece of protein by paying $4 for a side order or protein with your noodles. The Western set meal is more like a mini set meal, but you are paying for a price of a regular size meal. Honestly, I think Bubble Waffle Cafe is a better noodle restaurant and I will not come back. If you come here, do yourself a favour and do not order the Western set meal.

Food is great. Be careful of what you check off say Tom Yum became a very spicy Lakso but still delicious!

Had a second side order dish that failed to show up. It was my deep fried Siu Mai with chili sauce. Sometimes I order extra noodles and I don't get it either.

I always seem to go here for a great bowl of noodle soup, especially when I can choose from many soup bases, noodle types and toppings.

Poor service. Ignored by wait staff on multiple occasions. Cash only. Charge for take out containers.

Really poor service. Almost no other services except serving food. No more water and tissue. Not worth any tips. Won’t go anymore.

This shop provides poor ingredients. We found a pig's skin had some black spot that seems abnormal, so we showed it to one of a waitress. She just said that it was hair of the pig that was ok to be there. It was very terrible to hear she said that.

Ordered the noodle soup combo. The watercress soup didn't have any watercress and tasted only of pepper. The milk tea tasted off and not like it did previous times I've had it. The service was beyond terrible, not only did we have to flag them down everytime we needed service but the servers were straight up rude.

I chose malay laksa, Rice noodle, sliced beef and beef stomach. It was my first time to try this restaurant and fall in love with it.

Recently I went to Deer Garden Signatures on Fraser Street. I've been here multiple times but never did a review until now. This location is usually busy during peak times and usually I order fish soup noodles. But this time I want to try their western dish - seafood penne. When the dish came I was shocked. The portion of this dish was small. I was able to finish the portion within 5 minutes. I would have given it a 4 stars if the portion was larger. I don't know why the portion was so tiny. I will never again order this dish again here at Deer Garden Signatures. Will only stick to fish soup noodles or rice. I also notice they have slowly increased their prices over time.

Got there around 8: 50pm, got a table right away. Was thinking.nice, I could have a nice quiet dinner. Boy, was I wrong. Those 3 waitresses was chatting/gossiping non stop! And they were loud! Louder than all customers combined in the restaurant. Not gonna come back again.

I love the noodle combo here. You get the broth you want with a noodle of your choice you also get two toppings for free it comes with a milk tea or bubble tea. Hong Kong style Milk tea is included. Bubble tea extra dollar. The service is rough. No smile and just “what you want”. I didn’t try other food on the menu, they didn’t look that appetizing Rating is only for the noodle soups which they are known for.

Noodles are usually very good. Good portions. You can customize your noodle dish, basically. Choose the noodles, meats, veggies, etc. I believe they limit to three choices for items, and if you wanted to add more, you can, but of course, with a cost. They are usually pretty busy at lunch times, and dinner. Environment is OK. Waitresses and waiters are usually very punctual in terms of seeing if you need help with anything.

This restaurant discriminates! I wish I could give zero stars. This is the second time I called to place pick up order and was told I cannot place an order for pickup. I redialed the same number to ask if it was because I am not Asian, and I was told they do take pick up orders and I dialed the wrong number. I do not dial numbers on my android. I have them in my contact list and there is no way I dialed the wrong number, or redial wrong number for that matter. I have my call history as proof.

Delicious, huge bowl of noodles customized to your liking for 12 bucks. Cash only. Since it's really cheap don't expect dedicated customer service.

The food was okay. Fresh, but not overly full of flavour. The drinks came in half way in the meal, which was not ideal. Not to mention, they had flies inside the restaurant, just flying around.
However, the one thing that ticked me off was they supposedly have a “store policy” that doesn’t take change totalling to over $5. They seriously didn’t even put up a sign for that? Since I’m a student, I don’t have much bills.
Anyway, the waitress serving us made a scene about it and demanded a tip after. Worst customer service. Gossiping Chinese ladies that lack effort to do their jobs. They think we don’t understand or hear them. Not bringing anyone else here, or going back here, ever.

The OG DIY noodle soup combo place. Over the years, they have added more soup bases and side dishes; but again, so has the price of the DIY noodle combo. They also have some other western style dishes, curries, sandwiches. Their drinks are not bad; like calpis, they offer HK or Taiwan style milk tea. They also have happy hour menu items.

Consistently tasty soup broths of your choice with customizable options of different noodles and additions of various meats and veggies. Portion sizes are generous and pricing is reasonable. Plenty of seating for groups but be prepared to wait as the restaurant is often busy.

Customer service is seriously lacking. We went in to get food at 10: 30 pm on a weeknight and was rushed to order right away which was understandable since they were closing at 11 pm. After we ordered, we didn't put our menus away because we wanted to have look at the other menu items. But seconds after, our waitress asked us to put them away. Lastly when the food came out, she immediately badgered us to pay for our bill, not once but twice. We literally had two bites of our food and the staff were hovering around waiting for us to finish our food and speaking about us in Cantonese thinking we couldn't understand. Jokes on them, I understood everything. Staff only care about going home early. The only perk was the food came out fast and we left at 11 pm exactly.

Pretty good and decently cheap (like 12$ for a bowl of noodles and a drink). Accommodates groups. Also can get pretty busy so it's better to reserve seating if you don't want to wait.

I always love eating at Deer Garden signatures, as the price is good and the portions are huge.

I always go for the chaochao style fish soup, since it has just enough flavor to be delicious on its own, but doesn't overpower the other toppings of the soup.

The bubble teas are also pretty good (try their kumquat green tea with coconut jelly).

The one minor downside is that they are cash only.
