Delta Hotels by Marriott Grand Okanagan Resort

The Delta in Kelowna is a wonderful experience at all times of the year. Located right on the water with beautiful views. The rooms are clean and tidy, staff are helpful and prompt.

Minutes from downtown on foot no need to drive or cab anywhere right in the nightlife area. It's everything you want in a hotel.

Location is beautiful, service has really degraded. Lack of training for staff maybe?
After traveling here twice this week, once for my Mom sick and the second because she passed away unexpectedly. No communication amongst front end staff and an extremely rude phone call after I'd already called in to extend the stay and informed front desk I'd be in to cover the next night - the person when I called in the first time said absolutely no problem come in anytime today. The second night was charged out significantly higher when we came up to pay. As Gold members we try to be loyal to Marriott but honestly this will probably be our last stay here. We just discovered we need to stay another 4 nights but we will be leaving here to a different hotel. Thanks guys for making a really awful week worse.

Ps. Not all marriots just this one. The Delta in Kamloops was amazing when my husband's Dad passed away unexpectedly. The staff took such great care of us there

Right on Lake Okanagan. Super area for walking path of lake, park, shopping, casino, bars, pool open in winter, hot tubs. Highly Recommend.

Hotel is in a very convenient location to restaurants, shopping, and even a cute little art gallery.
Our room was clean and spacious, 2 flat screen tvs, sofa, desk, & a tiny balcony to step out onto and view Okanagan.
The bed was definitely not a king, as I’m only 5’2 and could lay in the middle, stretch my arms and pretty much touch the each edge.
The sheets and pillow cases were terribly
rough, and the pillows felt awfully hard.
The bathroom was spacious, and the shower head was extremely powerful.
The restaurant was adorable with lake views.
We only snacked on a margarita pizza and it was good.
Staff was always happy and attentive.
Oh and there is a casino right above the lobby, so that was very convenient and fun!

The rooms and level of service can definitely improve for the rating and the price they charge

I photographed a stunning Fusion wedding (a Sikh wedding and Hindu wedding) here a few years back and this location is JUST SUPERB. This is conveniently located in the heart of Kelowna and is walking distance to shopping, dining and entertainment. The grand ballroom is indeed spacious, beautiful, and has elegant interiors which is perfect to hold your wedding events. Such a great location! Staff is very accommodating and warm. Great food everywhere!

This is my go-to hotel for visits to Kelowna. Excellent rooms with great views of the lake and surroundings. The room-service food is outstanding. The parking is a a bit inconvenient, but not enough to lose a star for an overall great hotel.

View is amazing I didn't stay there but the view is amazing and the promenade was beautiful

Excellent hotel for a delightful long weekend stay! From the moment I booked my reservation, I was impressed by the level of professionalism and care shown by Deren, the Rooms Controller. He went above and beyond to ensure that my experience would be smooth and enjoyable.
Upon arrival, I was warmly greeted by Michael at the front desk. Throughout my entire stay, he proved to be incredibly helpful and kind, always ready to assist with any questions or requests.
Hotel itself was nice too. So many activities you can do in the hotel so next time I want to stay longer. (highly recommend truffle fries from the Oak restaurant!)

We were en route to Banff from Vancouver. Stopped overnight. Whilst we had some issues with our room I am very pleased with the responsiveness of the Manager (Scott) who promptly atttended to our issues and successfully resolved them. Qudos and well done!

Super busy, lovely view. Staff was really friendly, especially Daniella who made a special effort to look after me as I was having a difficult time to walk that day. Excellent customer service from our server as well.

The Delta hotel was our home during the recent fire evacuations. The entire team went well above and beyond with everything they did for the evacuees including setting up a family game room was great idea for the kids spend time. Everyone from the front desk staff to the cleaning staff were especially friendly making the hotel feel like our temporary home away from home during the evacuation!

I am not sure how people are giving this hotel pretending to be a resort anything higher than 3 stars.

Save your money and go on a cruise or to Mexico for a few nights. This place is barely passing as a resort. You will not feel welcomed or relaxed when you get here.

The only comfortable feeling you get is in the lobby but once you check in the disappointment begins. They will advise you about the $30 resort fee per night and a $36 charge for parking (no other overnight parking in the area). Shockingly after asking $350-$500 a night. I don’t mind paying these prices as long as everything else felt well like a resort?

The lobby is gorgeous. I was hoping the rest of the hotel would give me the same vibe but I was wrong.

The room was small dated and cramped, clean, but nothing special.

One thing that separates the top hotels from the low end ones are the bathrooms. The bathrooms are in need of massive renovations, my tub and toilets are newer at home. It was clean but felt uncomfortable and cramped, and from the 90s. Charging these fees please update your bathrooms.

My wife felt more comfortable using the lobby washroom. Get the picture?

Other things: My rooms TV kept shutting off randomly, none of the movies worked, my fridge barely worked to keep anything cool and my food got spoiled, my shower head was leaking. Air conditioner was terribly loud.

The air conditioner is old and loud. Sleeping in an airplane is a quieter environment. Not to mention the doors to the room had a massive gap on the bottom you could hear basically anyone in the hall ways all night.

The pool and lounge area were the most disappointing. I have been to public pools in better shape. You could see the dirt accumulated on the bottom of the indoor pool. We spent a couple of hours out there, but it seemed the staff were more interested in serving drinks then keeping the area clean. The hot tub was dirty as well. The locker area washrooms were clean but old.

Lastly, The service is sub par at best. It is not a resort like service. The first time I called for service someone picked up. All the calls after that including the one about my shower head was leaking were not answered for two days. I had advised them of the shower head leak on my first interaction but no one bothered to follow up.

At the end it was an extremely disappointing couple of days at this hotel masked as a resort. Also the surrounding area and scenery did not make up for it, I left feeling disappointed and tired.

I know this is a long review but I want to be honest unlike these other reviews. I don’t want others to feel disappointed when they come here and spend their hard earned money. Instead get a top end suite at a regular hotel and you will have a much better experience, or go to Mexico or a cruise for the same price for more nights. There is nothing Grand here except your disappointment after you leave.

Note: The cleaning staff did a great job.

Place is slipping, like plastic glasses in your room and art on the walls that is just terrible!

Bring your own toilet paper unless you like stiff 2-ply they supply.

7: 15 am power washing around outside pool area, so if you have a room overlooking that area, they'll be no sleeping in.

I could go on about little things, but this place is the only lakefront resort in the area, so I suppose you have to go with the flow

We had a really nice stay, but what stands out was how great the staff was. Especially Michelle C.at the front desk. She went above and beyond to make sure everything was perfect. Michelle is a great ambassador for the Delta grand. Thank you so much

Really clean rooms, right in the heart of downtown Kelowna. The views are great and the the staff (Kandra) was friendly and professional. Thank you for the nice experience.

Stayed here for my birthday a few years back and it was incredible! The bed was lovely, the location was beautiful, and the service was spectacular.

We had a very bad experience at this hotel! If you want to get a good night of sleep don’t forget your earplugs otherwise the trash pick up truck will wake you at 6: 30-7am! It took almost 2 hours to empty all the bins with super loud noises! This is ridiculous! We will never come back!

Couldn't find any info about parking, "follow the signs to Match Eatery" until there were no more signs and elevator doors wouldn't open with nothing to indicate why, at concierge counter where "any questions we are happy to help" was not occupied with no indication as to if or when anyone would be back. Thankfully the staff at the small Cafe could help.

Firstly for an upmarket hotel they want to charge you extra for properly functioning internet. It is so slow you cannot load the weather on an app. They would rather charge you. In the same breath after our first nights stay we went golfing. We came back to our room being left open by cleaning; with the latch of the lock propping the door open. This was especially disturbing considering we had all our valuables including computers, watches, and passports in the room. Then the second night water started pouring from the roof in our bathroom into the bathtub, keeping us up all night. We reported this at 2am when it occurred and were told it was fine, despite us expressing concern with regards to electric inputs (as it was running out of a light fixture) as well as the sound keeping us from sleep. Nothing happened that evening as well as the concierge desk making light of it the next day and simply saying they would ‘look into it’. The same dismissive response was given to our room being left open when the issue was raised. ‘We will take it up with cleaning’. Finally we arrived at our room after a round of golf this evening, missing a pillow. This shows a lack of service/ care despite trying to be a ‘premium’ brand and charging accordingly.

Zero stars. No internet, I missed two zoom meetings.
I did ask for some assistance to fix the issue, but the staff don't care.
They said I should go to Starbucks. Bottom line is terrible service from the front desk.

I like the rooms and amenities. Friendly atmosphere. Match Restaurant was closed at the Casino due to staffing shortages and limited opening days. (Covid times) Nice view from the 6th floor.

Had a great time here. Nice clean rooms and friendly staff. The pool was great. It’s indoor/ outdoor but make sure you go during the staffed bar hours if your wishing to have some drinks. They closed rather early. Nice central location and has a casino attached to the hotel! Parking is a big expensive but it’s also downtown. We will be back one day!

I have stayed in delta hotels around North America and I have always had a splendid experience, regardless I’m writing this review not because I stayed at the delta here in Kelowna but because I came in as a dominos worker and I was treated very rudely by the front desk receptionist, I came last Saturday on a closing shift as a delivery driver and was given instructions to bring the pizza to the room, when I came I asked the front desk for directions to the room I was looking for, to start he refused to tell me until I gave him a name and room number, I gave him the room number that was on order and the name on order and he told me it didn’t match…. I know it’s a very impossible concept but there can actually be more than one person in a room! Crazy right? He asked me to call the number and confirm the room owner, after calling the guest for a second time she gave me the room owners name and after relaying the information to the front desk worker, he then proceeded to call the room just to tell the customer to come down and pick up the pizza. I personally felt very bad because I felt I let down the customer and all this delta worker did was make my job harder for no reason at all. I felt as if I was being treated as less of a person because I’m what? A young teenager working as a delivery driver. I’m extremely sorry that I need to be a high class individual in order to be treated reasonably. I’m very unhappy with how this worker handled the situation. The customer was very understanding fortunately and that was the only positive with this experience I had. I am aware there are safety precautions and that we are amidst a pandemic. Even so I am just trying to do my job, I am a delivery driver. I’m not a threat.

Great location on Water street, close to lots of restaurants, the waterfront trail and Knox mountain. The gym is open 24/7 and has multiple treadmills, bikes and dumbells up to 55lbs plus a separate area for stretching. The indoor/outdoor pools are good for families, but too small for lap swimming. Overall we had a great stay here and would come back in the future!

Beautiful, quiet resort.
My only complaint was the grumpy and less than helpful front desk attendants. Housekeepers and catering staff in the ballroom were friendly and went the extra mile. Rooms were spotless and so was the bathroom however it could have been kept several degrees warmer.

Excellent service and a well located spot to stay. The Oak+Cru resto is great and the 'bubbles' Luminance was a great experience.

Great location and friendly staff, very consistent over the last 15 years I have stayed. Hotel is up to brand standards and has lots of extra touches for your tourist needs. Best pool in town that I have seen both indoors and out.

Always a good visit. However parking a bit cumbersome for accessibility. I recommend not limiting who has access to it.

Absolutely delightful experience! Top notch service and extremely clean rooms n all covid protocols followed stringently. The guy who checked us in was amazing.pleasant, informative and professional.and oak n Cru restaurant staff went above and beyond to make our meal experience memorable as well. Trust me only disappointing part of our stay was haviny to say goodbye!

Charged full price for an estimated 50% of hotel experience last year. Was granted a “free night stay” to make up for it. Tried to use it just now. Spent an hour on the phone being transferred to four different agents/departments. No one can find any information regarding this experience. We spend lots of travel yearly. Will never be using any Hilton establishment ever again.

This place is extremely clean! Love staying here when I need a place to stay and have never had a bad experience! I highly recommend this place to anyone visiting Kelowna, prices adequately represent what you get and I think that they nailed this place on the head! Staff are friendly and restaurant downstairs is extremely nice! 1000/10!

Beautiful resort. Has a few activities included with the resort fee (paddle boats, kayaks, bicycle, etc). When we stayed, it included $40 food credits per day which was nice. The resort itself is clean, staffs were courteous, wifi was fast and stable to do some quick work. Location was convenient, near restaurants and beaches. No complaints. We will be back.

They charged me 632.88$ THREE TIMES for one night at the hotel. Unorganized and unprofessional. How do you "accidentally" triple charge someone? Especially since the third charge was two weeks after I stayed there, and after I already had to phone in and get the second charge removed. Completely unacceptable.

Went there with kids since they have fond memories from 10 years ago. See the Dr. Seuss print exhibit, it's very unique. I did not know anyone had prints from Seuss books.

Given the high premium price we paid for this hotel, we were expecting an experience that would warrant the cost! Hotel rooms are a little dated. Servicing of rooms were on a request-only basis, and we had to call multiple times when housekeeping never showed up. To our surprise, we found the previous guests’ garbage in the mini fridge when we checked into the room.

The location of the hotel is amazing, but everything else was mediocre.

One of the best patios in town, although we usually end up sitting inside because there's not enough shade outside for this kind of weather. Not a great beer selection, but the food is good and so are the cocktails.

The hotel is way overpriced for what you get. The service is the worst I have seen when paying $600 per night. I understand some of the issue is Covid related but it is really unacceptable. The rooms are nothing great. You are forced to pay an additional $20 per day for kayaks and paddle boards that are old and run down. You can not swim without booking a day in advance and you can only swim in one time spot per day. The hotel does not even tell you this upon check in you find out when you try to take your child to go swim. The restaurant Oak and Cru is absolutely the worst service a restaurant can give. It seems who ever is running this hotel and restaurant is in over their head. They give you $20 a day to use in the Oak and Cru but it is impossible to use the credit because you can not get in to the restaurant to use it, they have no staff and a very unorganized way to accommodate hotel guests wanting to dine on site. This hotel should be half the price with the lack of service the are offering, they should not be able to ask these rates. It was a very disappointing vacation and I do not recommend you make the same mistake we did thinking the view was everything.

Would avoid this hotel if you plan on having any fun. Evicted our party at 3 am with no warning. We said we would be quiet and shut it down. They called the cops instead.

I have no words to say anything. All the staff at front desk is really friendly and they are always down to help all the time. Gurpreet kaur (at front desk) is really helpful. I just want to say thakyou very much for help me. Highly recommend to everyone

The perks of this hotel are great! Really nice pool, daily wine tasting and the rooms are super spacious.
