Delta Hotels by Marriott Victoria Ocean Pointe Resort

I love this place, they get it right every time. I still don't know the difference between a "resort" and a hotel with a pool but that can be held for another day.

Absolutely terrible experience. Advertised and billed as luxury stay in Victoria, it was anything but.
Wanting to relax at night, after 930 pm, we were subjected to a feral daycare in the hot tub area, with very young children running, RUNNING, from the pool to canon ball into the hot tub, over and over, with no supervision. When I spoke to the hotel staff, I got a polite” that’s too bad”, then even given the bill and tab for parking the next morning.
I’ve had a better experience at any of the best westerns I’ve stayed at while travelling with a rep baseball team.
Stay away from this place if you want a peaceful night with your significant other.
Abjectly disappointing

Had a great 8 night stay here and was very comfortable. The overall hotel and property sparkles and is very clean. My room had central hvac, which i turned the fan off via my room thermostat and was very comfortable temperature wise. It was quiet, had vinyl floors, window over-looking the harbor & with latches to open if needed. Bathroom was modern & had a shower handheld wand. There was a wetbar area with sink, small fridge, microwave and kitchen utensils, along with electric water heating pot and coffee maker. The onsite Lure restaurant had adequate offerings for all meal hours. Staff excel at service! It was convenient and an easy walk to downtown areas or to take the bus to Butchart gardens. Using the UMO BC Transit app was simple. It is a safe area and there are nearby restaurants and services easily accessed walking.

Hotel is nice. But person in reception is so bad. I have membership for hotels, AAA membership and moreover AAA employee. She give very very bad views room. I told her before get room don’t give me bad views room. I booked 2 rooms. When I opened rooms get shocked. View of the room literally only I can see garbage areas for hotel and hotel wall nothing else I can see. Definitely I don’t recommend this placed. Definitely I will explain Aaa know all this thing

Top-notch accomodations with a spectacular view of Victoria waterfront. Downtown is only a few minutes away via convenient pedestrian walkway on the bridge.

We stayed here for one night as avid travellers and Bonvoy elite members, we were not offered a room upgrade upon check in, in fact we were given a terrible room overlooking the roof of the pool enclosure. When questioned about our room based on the room we were supposed to get they moved us to a club floor, but did not have club floor access. Unfortunately not the Bonvoy quality we are used too, the staff seemed more concerned in speaking amongst themselves.

This was the best Marriott I’ve ever stayed at! From the front desk to the dining to the staff in the club lounge to the housekeeping- everyone gave 150% and it didn’t go unnoticed. We had a beautiful Harbour view room and enjoyed the breakfast and appetizers in the club lounge that was always attended and well stocked by the nicest staff! The beds were comfy, the rooms had everything, anytime we requested anything the staff was super fast and accommodating, I was honestly blown away! We also enjoyed the walking/running trails outside, the free rental bikes and the close proximity to everything! I’d definitely recommend it!

Rooms are very clean and well designed, although not luxury like we thought for the price. Either way, we had a great experience here. The spa and restaurant were great. The staff was super friendly and helpful. We would definitely stay here again.

We live in the area, however decided to go over to LURE (their Lounge + Restaurant) and enjoy their #HappyHour menu and the beautiful harbour view. We were greeted and served by Codie who was very pleasant and offered us a choice of inside or patio. We were seated at a table facing the water and had an exceptional view of the inner harbour. The food and drinks were delicious, well portioned and of food value. Codie the server was friendly, prompt and checked on us regularly.
We enjoyed the experience and will definitely be back!

We recently returned from a three night stay at a Club room 1 king, waterfront view. We had a wonderful experience and probably the best waterfront view in Victoria.
Fast and convenient check in through the Elite front desk counter. From the small details of preparing our room with a handwritten anniversary note to the wonderful welcome amenity (great and tasty plate by the way) to the amazing Club room they have been given to us. Plenty of space in the room with lots of storage space, comfortable king bed and two great armchairs that you could sit and enjoy the majestic views from the floor to ceiling window. Very well cleaned too.
Club lounge was also nice and well stocked during the day.
All the staff members were very polite, accommodating and welcoming. The Lure restaurant/ bar was a nice place to have your meals or drinks, I would like to have a bit more menu variety.

Fully equipped and very well maintained fitness room. Nice interior pool needing a bit of upkeep as there were a lot of towels left on the lounge chairs (maybe because it was later in the evening?)
Walking distance (10 to 20mins) to most points of interest in the city.

Great location and lovely hotel. Sadly the management do not resolve noise-related issues. We have seen non-residents force paying-residents off the tennis court and be allowed to make unnecessary noise. We had higher expectations than this. Very disappointing.

My hotel experience was very negative. I had booked a one bedroom suite almost a year in advance for myself and my bridesmaids to share and get ready in, and then A smaller suite for myself and my new husband to enjoy for 2 nights. I had originally requested a later checkout by an hour due to the time my hair and makeup artist would be there and was told that should be fine. I checked my bags in early and was told there were no notes about a possible late check out but I’d receive a text when my room was clean and ready. 5pm came and still no text, so I phoned and was told it had been ready for a while. My bags were never brought up to the room, I had to go find them. Our fridge was broken, and one of the phones didn’t work. The next day we were in the middle of hair and makeup when someone came up to move our bags to the next room around 1015 am (regular checkout was at 11) so in the middle of getting ready for my wedding we had to switch to a much smaller room. My husband and I were not given anything complimentary for our wedding nights, not even the little fizz things that others were getting from the front desk. One of the bedside tables plugs did not work, and overall the only thing we enjoyed was the view. For what we paid, we expected a better experience and we are not happy we chose this hotel

Rooms were pretty normal for a 4 star hotel, but the view was terrible. Service was quick, and I had no problems in the hotel. Only complaint is the rooms are quite expensive so if you're on a normal vacation, I suggest finder cheaper hotels.

Came here to escape the heat of north Texas. Very nice hotel and good location. We had a great view of the harbor.

We stayed there every time we visited Victoria. Overall we liked the experience. The pool and gym are very clean. Parking is secure. No safe in the room but there are safes at the reception area for free. Customer service is superb.

This is our second time in this hotel. Service level has gone down.
First day they didn't clean the room and when we requested cleaning, we came back and found that they left our room door open.
I talked to one of the employees and yet it happened again the next day.
Beds and pillows are the most uncomfortable.
Checking in process felt very rushed, even though there was no one in line.
We are Marriott gold members, I can't imagine how they deal with non-members.

Ive stayed in marriots across canada ans the usa. This place is 100% a scam. Pay extra for a good view and you'll have a view of the roof. Bad service. Go somewhere else. Or don't pay extra. Not worth it.

This is a 4 star hotel that was bought by Marriott and is becoming a 2.5 star hotel. All of the best ideas (like the pantry) have been removed by Marriott. The best amenities, like the tennis court and the squash court, are in disrepair. The location is amazing - right on the water - and you can walk to downtown. The rooms are fine - it’s a Marriott.

I have to rave about Delta Hotel. Everything here is just perfect and brings so much happiness. The hotel service is exceptionally attentive, and the staff is incredibly friendly. Since we arrived at the hotel before 11 am, after taking the earliest ferry to Victoria, the front desk (a gentle lady with glasses and black hair) kindly prioritized our check-in, promising to accommodate us as soon as a room became available. And they truly delivered on their promise as I was already in the room before noon (originally, check-in time was supposed to be 4 pm). During the waiting period, they even provided a kids' kit to keep my child entertained. They also gave us access cards to the pool, allowing us to relax and swim whenever we wanted. I must say that the hotel lobby itself offers a stunning 180-degree view of the sea. Looking out, we could see the Legislative Assembly of BC, Empress Hotel, and Fisherman's Wharf, all within our sight.

Entering the room, we were highly satisfied. The room was spacious enough, with a panoramic view of the sea outside, and we could catch a glimpse of the pool below (useful for deciding whether or not to head downstairs depending on the crowd). Additionally, the room had wooden flooring, which minimized dust and unpleasant odors. I should also mention that the hotel provides unlimited drinking water, which can be requested through room service or directly collected from the front desk. The hotel also has a restaurant and bar called LURE, which had great reviews on Google. We tried their snacks and cocktails (during their happy hour from 3 to 6 pm), and they were all reasonably priced with generous portions and delicious flavors.

The hotel has two tennis courts and a well-equipped fitness center, all of which are of good quality. The location is also excellent. Although it requires crossing a bridge to reach the main island, the distance is so close that it can be easily overlooked. Moreover, the view from the other side, overlooking the city's skyline, adds a unique charm.

Lastly, there were 2 minor drawbacks. Firstly, the sink drainage was a bit slow, and secondly, the air conditioning sometimes produced a faint noise when set to high. Other than these minor issues, everything was perfect! Oh, and I should mention that overnight parking cost $26, which also included daytime parking, making it quite cost-effective considering parking can be a hassle in Victoria.
