Had the Superbird turkey sandwich and it was great, and my son had the chocolate chip pancakes with banana as our last meals on closing day at the Dennys on Marine Drive in Northvancouver

We visited this location thinking it would be good due to the 4+ star reviews but boy was I wrong!
Fruit flies all over the walls and dirty dishes and glasses. Now I want to make it clear I'm not a 5star restaurant eater but when you see these things in the public areas who knows whats going on in the back!
Stay away!

Although our server could have been more attentive (missed water refill and mid-meal check-in, etc), Sandeep was quick and accurate with our substitutions on a recent late-night meal.

First time being at Denny's, and the burgers were better than Five Guys to be honest!

The server was very helpful navigating me through options on the menu to build a full meal with sides to an appetizer. Prompt service, kept my coffee hot and filled and was very courteous about meeting my needs. I’ve been coming to this Denny’s for almost a decade and I haven’t been disappointed yet.

Me and my friends frequent this place. I have been here for breakfast, lunch and dinner. I love the fact that there is always plenty of parking spots. Servers always greet us immediately. Price is reasonable. Food serving is also reasonable for the price. Food is okay. Their Oreo milkshake is awesome. Good place!

My server was polite, simple, and quick. She didn't bother me at all. She took my order quick and ensured I was relaxed. Food was great, good job to the kitchen staff.
Place was quiet and relaxing and clean.

Extremely busy as one person did not show, therefore the service was terrible. Supervisor was doing a great job but the remainder of the staff were slow and not caring. I had an empty glass for 22mins finally was filled after I had finished eating.

Worst breakfast ever! Service was good but the kitchen sucked.my bacon were so tiny if you blinked you would miss them on the plate. This location in Vancouver was awful. Been to many other Denny's locations and they have been great!

There's always service with a smile when i go to Denny's. There was one time i ordered the nachos there and they were soggy, gross, and covered in oil, however, our meal was fully refunded and we got another plate for free.

It was a great morning on my birthday! I don't have to prepare breakfast like my normal days. The orange juice on the other hand was not free like the grand slam breakfast. Also it wasn't made from fresh oranges. I tasted sugar at the bottom of my cup.

This is complaint of absolutely terrible service! Worst service ive ever experienced.

Arshpreet was very unwelcoming, rude, and, unprofessional. When our table was ordering food, one of us wanted to ask if dennys served yam fries. To which the she replied "do you see yam fries on the menu? There is no yam fries anywhere on the menu! ". That was the first instance of rude behaviour. After she put in our orders, she proceeded to go on her phone and text. After we got our food, we still had no cutlery.so we waiting a minute before asking our server for some cutler. She didnt say single word, just turned around got cutlery and dropped it on our table. No word, no eye contact, just cold shoulder. It felt very unwelcoming and rude. Overall our service was quite poor.we went up to pay at this point, and the procedure took a long time. First person paid, the bill was $4.19, and they gave a $5 bill.the server, then turned away and went to help another co worker for about 3 minutes while we waited. At this point we were really frustrated and the person paying didnt feel like tipping (and rightfully so). The server got back and proceeded to the next person. The first person then asked for her change, the server then grabbed the change and threw it on the front desk platform quite aggressively, with some coins dropping on the floor. At this point, we all looked at each other and laughed because of how ridiculous it was. A server aggressively throwing change on the table causing coins to drop everywhere. She then proceeded to say "Youre change was 81 cents, but im unable to give you a penny, is that OK? ". That was quite passively aggressive as well, again, we felt that was quite ridiculous.

This was by far the worst dining experience ive had, and we will not be back at denny's until further action is taken to rectify the situation. We also like to share the message with friends and families about our horrific experience and discourage them from dining at dennys.

Denny's in north Vancouver is hands down the worst restaurant ever. Lousy service and the food was definitely not up to Denny's standards. I will never go back

Service was so so at best. I placed my order with the waitress for my meal and drink, my meal came and the waitress needed assistance from the manager to help serve another customer. While the manager was teaching my waitress how to mix and pour drinks for 10 minutes I ate pretty much my entire meal with no drink or service. As for the meal the chicken was tough and the rice crunchy with limp overcooked veggies. Now I know why I have not been here in 45 yrs.

Terrible service. Plus they were out of several menu items- which I was notified only after waiting 20 min for my order.

Staff seemed very unmotivated to do a better job. Rather would chat with other staff and regulars than checking on dining guests.

One of the best spots to have your breakfast or brunch in north Vancouver, lots of parking spaces, cozy environment and quiet. Enjoy ordering American style dish for your breakfast

Only has the pancakes so can't judge the whole menu, but service and food was good, bit too sweet for our European taste buts:)

The worst customer service I have ever seen in my life. After 2-3 mins waiting to be seated we finally did sit by ourselves. After that it took 10 mins to server come to our table. She was alone on a Sunday night with around 7 tables! Making drinks, running the food and being a hostess and take out ordering. Of course she could do better, but I believe that’s a management issue. I’ll never come back again.

Dont really remember what happened here but it wasnt terrible as far as im told. Plus they were able to deal with about 50 fairly drunk kids. (Not me tho)

Decent food. Be wary if you are sensitive to MSG (like myself) as 90% of the menu has it. Onion rings dont and several other menu items.

Wasn't happy with the food and service. Had to wait a very long time for our bill and never asked if we wanted dessert menu. Management needs to train better

I had to be in North Vancouver for two days, and sourced out Denny's as I prefer to have a huge breakfast, then coast for rest of the day. On my first morning, the day had started out on the wrong foot so once I got to the restaurant I was frustrated and angry at my other circumstances. Someone must have been watching out for my in the heavens I think because I was blessed to have Regina given to be my server. Without a blink of an eye I was allowed to make substitutions to my meal to customize it to my particular food tolerances (not common in other restaurants, and generally comes with a healthy charge for substituting). Regina kept my coffee cup full and the food both days was exactly what I wanted, exactly the way I wanted it and the interactions with Regina and the younger cashiers was great, and more than just breakfast. By the time I left, I knew I was not just another customer to be served in a long line of many, it was far more quality than that. Because I had had that experience, I returned the next morning before heading back to the ferry to go home. Why would I bother to find another place when I already knew where I would be treated well? And I got Regina again!
Both days I left feeling great even though my reason for being in North Vancouver was not. Thank you Regina, you actually make want to come back to N/Van just to sit in your section again!

To those who find fault with a place over a seat, a piece of bacon, time etc.maybe you are not looking close enough. There is more to your breakfast than that, and I saw proof of it throughout my whole time there (or I would not have been back the next day)

You can't go wrong with Denny's. Food was good and very quick. They had just hired a whole new service staff and you could see how "green" they all were. With correct guidance and training I'm sure they'll weed out the "keepers" and the "one's who just won't get it". Extremely busy diner service is tough and hats off the one's that pull it off. Lil Red and the 35year vet servers were phenomenal and will show the newbies how to shine. Great meal thanks to the kitchen.

Ate here a few nights ago. Was the worst Denny's meal I ever ate. Pancakes burnt eggs broke and missing items. We also waited almost two hours for our food apparently because the had skip the dishes orders. All the gave us for compensation was free pop on a 150.00 order. Have been to several Denny's but will never go again thanks to this location

Brilliant diner with some really attentive staff who really make the place. Meal was lovely and very tasty, could have ate it all over again

It's alright if you hangry & need breakfast but nothing special. We had American slam & lumberjack breakfast! Eggs, bacon, sausage etc. Ok but the best bit by far was the pancakes. 2 breakfast & coffee $35 cad

Solid place to go for breakfast. The pancakes and crispy hashbrowns here are awesome. Service can be hit or miss during peak times on the weekend. I'd recommend the dulce de leche pancakes! Burgers here aren't bad either! Open 24 hours.

I went there with my friends for breakfast and to tell the truth they were better than I expected.
I tried their Omelette, Sizzlin and pancake.
Portion wise, it’s very good.
Quality was also good.
Servers were verrry slow. Both the time we were waiting for someone to come to our table and waiting time for the food was more than normal.
But overall experience was good

It is okay. Denny's is meh service but breakfast food is good don't get anything else but the breakfast food. Cheap food

The supervisor needs to wake up. We asked for hot sauce and she said tabasco sauce. She gave us sriracha sauce instead which we never had to use it because she gave us the sauce when we are almost already done with our meal.

Nice, Denny's. Killing it. Quesadillas literally has all of 10 cents worth of cheese on it and the hashbrowns are all of about 1/3rd a potato worth. Good to know our $40 bill is being put to good use. We weren't brought any water until probably 35 minutes into being sat. If I were management I'd take a serious look at who was scheduled this particular night and fire them. There was only 3 tables in here and one of them was us. I've managed several restaurants and this level of service should be viewed as poor at best.

Only one staff appeared to be working (a young waitress). The rug and floor was dirty. Seats had rips and not even tape put over. Womens bathroom smelled and there was urine on toilet seat as well as floor. Lack of staff made food wait long. Food was mediocre and wasn't hot. Salt, pepper and ketchup containers at table were smudged with food and grease and not washed off. We will not return to this restaurant.

I had the roast beef. The meat was so tender it was falling apart.the problem: the meat was so dry it was like having a mouth full of flour. Not very enjoyable. My mom had hashbrowns that were burned and even though she said she is allergic to onions they put onions in her omelet and even though she said she is gluten intolerant, they gave her a milkshake with pie crust in it. Yes she ordered it, but the menu said nothing about it having crust inside and the server said nothing either. We had 3 dollars taken off the bill. That doesnt make it better.
