Denny's Test Kitchen

I ordered the Chipotle Chicken Burger and it was very delicious- definitely recommend. Also got the Lava Cookie Skillet which was a nice way to end off the night.

Quite surprisingly, the best Dennys around. Even current non test items that are cooked here are cooked to a higher standard than normal locations! Will be back!

A great reasonably priced place to spend an hour watching football or hockey or having dinner.

Dropped in for a quick breakfast this morning with my girlfriend, and we were very pleased with the service. Aiken was our server. He was super attentive and brought our food in an orderly and timely manner. Definitely will be coming back soon!

[edit: don't believe the note from Denny's at the bottom. I responded. They have not gotten in touch-this is a cynical thing some restaurants are doing now]. Not the place to go if you have allergies, or want options, or want good food, or want to hear your dining companion! For the first time in many years I had an extremely difficult time finding anything non-dairy to eat at a restaurant-I am allergic to casein, a milk protein. They have not one single vegan option. And things which you'd think could be made vegan, like a vegetable medley, also have dairy which can't be left out. I finally settled on a steak, but the only sides that didn't have dairy were two kinds of potatoes. All the veggie sides had dairy, and I would have had to pay extra for a salad. And, BTW, I ordered a medium rare steak, which was barely pink when I got it, and the fries were dry and awful. The server was run off her feet, so that likely was a staffing problem, and perhaps understandable on Christmas day. There was a football game on in the bar which was at such a high volume we had trouble hearing each other speak, even though we were quite a ways from the bar, across the restaurant.

This place was a complete surprise. Coming from the USA when you go to a Denny's, it's never been like this place. Had a modern and clean decoration and the food was delicious and tasted of higher quality. The staff was amazing and friendly. We were seated immediately both times we went. Yes we came back because we liked it that much, it was so just easy logistically with young kids. They have an extensive kids menu. Parking garage behind the shopping center in the alley. I guess that's what makes it a Test Kitchen?

Very disappointed this Denny's felt unrelated to the others around BC, when ordering asked the waiter for salmon on the salad which when came was lacking, my mother is vegetarian so I asked for fries and the waiter said NO asked for breaded chicken fettuccine, which instead came with cold reheated plain grilled chicken which smelled of stale fridge on top of canned uncooked tomato sauce on top of pasta. Lasagna was frozen and reheated in oven. For a 12 dollar salad you would at least expect some kind of condiment which was plain and you just ended up having plain washed lettuce with arugula. Waited 40 minutes for a taste of disappointment. Didn't confront the staff because I didn't want them to think i was trying to get out of paying. But will never go back again.

We went there for my husband’s birthday breakfast, servers were nice and attentive. Provided exceptional service and can never go wrong with grand slam. Thank you for your service, it was our first time at this location and we will be regulars from now on!

Attention people who enjoy critique of food- this "test kitchen" wants to know your opinions. They learn and implement change based on what WE the clientele advise them.
This is not the Dennys of "old"! Firstly the decor is more upscale than the "family diner" I recall. Think dark wood, leatherette fabrics, wine wall and open kitchen instead. Then comes the servers, very friendly and appeared to be happy to be there even if it was a holiday for many people. Then lastly comes the food. I ordered the "build your own" breakfast which gave me the choice of 4 items from the list of several. Honestly the last time I ate the pancakes I found them to be very dense and heavy, however that couldn't be further from my experience this time. My pancakes (2 @ 11.5 cm) were incredibly light with a very mild refreshing citrus taste. The bacon (2x2pcs) was cooked through and just crisp enough to add texture without crumbling to dust. The hard part was the provided dull butter knife can't cut bacon easily. The eggs (2@ sunnyside up) were cooked properly with the yolks beautifully golden and the egg white fully cooked. No over or under cooked parts here. Admittedly something I am very particular about and have high expectations of. In fact a perfect egg is one of the most challenging things for a person to do even with training (related to Chef[s]). I'm looking forward to going back to try other dishes soon.

Horrendous customer service. Placed an online order for Thanksgiving, arrived at the restaurant and they did not have it in stock. I requested a refund and two months later their team has refused to refund my original purchase method. Management and other team members all have conflicting responses, and were not helpful.

Great place for breakfast or brunch options. The ambience is great and the service is excellent. Although a test kitchen, please bring more options on the menu.

We just came back from Dennys at Broadway. We both had the same dish. We noticed that the bacon was old but it was not smelling bad. We ate it. We almost didn't made home. It made us sick. My friend called them and the response was " well what you want me to do? So he recommended them to check the bacon and the kitchen to see what is happening. Anyway I am going also to report to the health government department because for the answer after we call it seems they want to do anything.

Very upscale from the Denny’s I went to as a kid. Food was really good and there prices are reasonable.
