Desert Surfside Waterfront Accommodations

We have been coming here for the last 7 years, and the location is amazing. The location sells the hotel due to the beach being right outside most of the rooms. The common area is great with the bbq's and tables. We will be back again next year to enjoy the lake and the location.

Pleasant staff. We were in town for a wedding, and they accommodated our request for an early check-in. Plus we enjoyed sitting in front of our room at the chairs and table provided.

How this place only has a 3.9 star rating is beyond me. Absolutely ridiculous. This is my happy place. We come every year. I literally dream about their beach. Sometimes I visit it in the winter in my virtual reality headset. Shame on anyone who gave a one star review. So wrong.

Great location right on the lake. Clean, comfortable, and convenient. Would definitely stay here again.

No call backs ever
The on-site guy needs help which seems impossible for anyone on staff to figure out.
Ended up not getting a winter reservation due to their backward way of doing business, disorganized management and being told weeks ago I'd get a call back.
Clearly that was a lie
And I had to show up 4 hours driven to figure this out after being told my names down and were good on reservation

This hotel is super nice! Great location, on a sandy beach and very clean rooms. Staff is very nice and accommodating.

Room itself feels dated however it felt clean and that's what mattered most to us.

The 5 stars is for staff (especially Andrew) being very helpful and sincere. He made sure we had a parking spot and even had vehicles shuffled to make it happen.

We asked him for recommendations on where to eat and we ended up going to one of the places and had a great meal and time (Owl Pub).

A nice beach (but very family oriented) is literally a 15 second walk behind the building.

Great place to be anytime of the year!
Close to restaurants, grocery shopping and parks (great beach for the summer!) And boating, etc.

I have been Staying at the Desert Surfside for 10 years now and Osoyoos for 20 years. Love everything about it, location is great, Beachfront on the lake, staff are so friendly, rooms equipped with everything you need for your stay. There is a great patio section on the beach with a place to bbq if your room doesn't have one, and the staff is willing and able to help with anything you may need through out your stay. Will continue to stay here for as long as i come to beautiful wine country Osoyoos.

Old, tired and barely maintained. Suitable for drunk hockey team weekends. Strangely, it has a lovely sandy beach.

Our bed sheets and pillows had hairs in them. Called reception and they brought a clean but old and stained set of sheets which I had to change myself. Never staying here again. They should have offered a new room with clean and decent looking sheets

Love to stay here! Staff are great! Rooms are clean! We always stay at a studio, love it and can't wait to go again!

In the summer you get beautiful room, a beautiful beach, wonderful staff, and a wonderful area too. In what I would say is the PRIME location in Ossoyous you aren't far from the wineries, the beach, the amusement park, the grocery store, the liquor store, the pub, basically everything you could ever want for every age group is in this location. Beautiful rooms with beautiful views add to the experience. This may not be prime location for people who want to party hard but if you have a family of really any age you can bring them here and have a good time.

We stayed here for a second time at the end of May and we love it. The people who work here are so nice, always happy to help, answer questions and recommend what to see/do in the local area. The setting itself is wonderful. We'll definitely be back.

This place is wonderful. The staff is extra friendly. Every encounter I had was a positive one. Rooms were great, had one looking onto the water. Price was great, would recommend Desert Surfside.

The location is quite nice. Close to downtown, lakes on both sides. Lounge by the beach or go for a walk. The room was clean. Nice kitchen and cutlery was there for our convenience. There was some defect (or a goblin) in the roof. It was windy and we were disturbed by a tapping sound coming from the roof. It was quite persistent and kept us awake for a long time. Vernon, the person who checked us in was friendly and co-operative. Such a nice and positive man, he never asked for our ID's and checked us in. It felt nice to be believed just on my word for once.

Osoyoos is a summer vacation destination, so don't expect this place to be cheap during the summer months. You can't get anything in town cheap during the summer months.

I stayed here a day after the Labor Day long weekend ended, and I paid about 100 bucks a night.

The room I was given was very clean. It's got a nice little kitchen, a great fridge, and a comfortable bed.
Behind the hotel on the lake can be found a private beach with swimming available. The hotel even gives you towels.

I come to Osoyoos every so often to do some photography, and unless I could find a cheaper Airbnb somewhere, I would definitely stay here again.

Awful and rude management. Does not treat young adults well, wish I could leave less than one star.

Horrid management & staff.not accommodating at all and incredibly rude.don't give these people your money.
