Dinakis Mediterranean Grill

Food is delicious, big portions, and arrive before 6pm for happy hour! We had 3 drinks, 1 shared appy, and 2 large meals for $70. We are definitely going back!

Roast Lamb, big portion almost for 2 people, very tender, good customer service, quiet place and a lot of parking space

Good: top sirloin steak and mashed potatoes.

Acceptable: rice and calamari.

Bad: fire grilled dry ribs were completely dehydrated and had no flavour, salads somehow had no dressing and were tiny, roast lamb was tender but had little flavour, the tzatziki was runny, the pita bread was very dry, and the garlic toast was hard as a rock.

We ate here once about 1.5 years ago and couldn't remember if we liked it or not and couldn't remember why we never went back. Today was our second time eating here and I think it'll be our final time.

Greet place for family gatherings and date nights amazing food and service is always great.

Delicious! The calamari was wonderful, so tender. The roasted lamb was soooo soft and fall off the bone delicious.

Lovely lunch at Dinakis - wonderful food, excellent service, and great atmosphere. Brother-Sister dynamo team Sadat and Samira are the owners, and are always giving back to the community. Also very proud that Dinakis is a longstanding member of the Tri-Cities Chamber of Commerce. Highly recommend.

Used to be one of my fave Tri-Cities restaurants, hoping tonight was a one-off but it will be a while before I go back. 1. Had to ask for Happy Hour Menus. 2. Ordered hummus and saganaki before we got the menus so we changed the hummus to the Happy Hour size (but still were charged for full order until I pointed it out). 3. Ordered skewer chicken, skewer beef, hummus, tzatziki and calamari from HH menu - $5.99 each. Hummus was completely liquid, the thickness of half & half, poor flavor. Saganaki was small and undercooked so it was hot but no part of it was melted. The skewers were the smallest pieces of meat I have ever seen and the beef was very tough. I am surprised they got it on the skewer. Calamari was about 15 small pieces. Every dish inc each skewer came with a side of tzatziki which would have been better value if the waitress or menu had mentioned it so we could have avoided spending more money on tzatziki we didn't need. Bill came to over $50 for small hummus, small tzatziki, 2 skewers, calamari and a lot of pita bread. Not enough food for 1 person let alone 2 for $50. Sorry Dinakis, but the way to recoup losses from COVID is not to increase your prices while decreasing your serving size. That just keeps customers from coming back. It was really disappointing. I will add that I have been to Happy Hour many, many times pre-Covid so I am familiar with the portion sizes.

I come here all the time.
The lamb is moist, and falls off the bone.
The management is very approachable, if you do need anything.
Their seating is ample, and can accommodate large groups. You often see parties of all sorts enjoying themselves here.

Unfortunately it wasn't great. Calamari had an oddly off taste and the Greek salad was tiny and no taste to it at all.

Best Greek restaurant in Tri-City Great Customer service and delicious food definitely recommend it.

Id give it a 2 1/2. Service was good but the food wasn't worth the price point.

Would not go back nor would I reccommend.

Sub par Greek Food at best. There are far better places in Poco if you want real authentic Greek. Potatoes were a total disappointment.

Taste wise it’s fine but there are other Greek restaurants nearby that I’d rather go to.

Portion size for the price is not great at all. Not impressed with how pitiful the size of the chicken skewers were.

The Lamb chops were awesome. The prices are very reasonable. $125 for 4 adults to eat including a bottle of wine. The service was also exceptional and the portions were large. This will likely be a new go to for us.

Took a customer to this restaurant, this is the only Greek restaurant that opens before 4pm. Food was a little above average, service was good. I probably will try elsewhere if other Greek restaurants open earlier. There are better ones out there

The best high quality and FRESH Greek food in town. We had a huge event with 70 people and the restaurant handled us like family. Do go here:)

Happy hour is not as good. Smaller sizes of food.
Also don’t order on Uber eats and cancel even if u do it early they will charge u and not bring your food.
Also the waitress wasn’t very friendly

Ordered through a delivery service. I got lamb skewers. Portion was small for a nearly $27 entree. Flavor was fine but nothing special, lamb was quite chewy and I wondered if I got beef by accident. Definitely an ok place but extremely overpriced.

The portions are massive and the such a good value for money. I wan usually apprehensive towards Mediterranean food because they can be bland, but not here! Their food is so well cooked and so flavourful I was shook! My tastebuds were pleased:)! Must try in Port Coquitlam!

I went this evening and only relied on the ratings. It was the best decision! We had a wonderful server called Brianne.she was great. The food was delicious wirh great portions! Service was excellent. I will definitely go back and encourage others to try this restuarant out.

Great meal for our family. Loved the roast Lamb and souvlaki. Our favourite place out east for Greek!

We went around 5.45 pm, restaurant was almost empty. We waited for our dishes more than 30 minutes. There was a mistake with one of the dishes, it was quickly corrected. The lamb was good. The mousaka was disappointing, just a thing layer os meat and eggplant, huge layor of potatoes mix? Rice and potatoes just ok, not really tasty. Service was too slow.

I came here with my family for dinner and it was a great experience. The roast lamb was really juicy and my daughter won’t stop talking about how good the Greek salad was. The chefs are talented here. Our server, Helen was friendly, good with checking on our table, and with bringing us all of our orders.

Came in for a friends birthday and had an amazing experience, the burger is one of the best ive had, everyone else's meals were beautifully plated and tasted even better, shout out to the cooks!
The server was attentive and always seemed to check in at the perfect times. The bbq ribs are definitely my next choice! Will be coming back, the cooks are rockstars for sure

Waiting for service for 7 minutes at the door, both waitresses walked right by me, completely ignoring me. No acknowledgement at all. Unbelievable.

For years I've been ordering from another restaurant in Poco. Decided to have a change. I called and gave my order and specifically said that I require the order in an Hour the earliest or longer as I was not home, and my wife will not be home for an hour. Got my order in 30 minutes. The food was not good at all. My Baked Lasagna had 10 layers of Pasta and (menu says Loaded with our hearty meat sauce) not in my order, Garlic toast was white and hard. My wife did not like the chicken Souvlaki, compared to the other restaurant. The salad was in a tiny 2" round plastic cup. Peta Bread was good though.
Going back to PA in Poco.

Quaint restaurant tucked away in a corner in a little strip mall in PoCo. Friendly waitress and good food. Will definitely be back!

We ordered it tonight and had a pretty bad experience.

The moussaka was undercooked, the vegetables in it were fibrous and yucky.

$15.99 for their Caesar salad was a JOKE. It came in a teeny tiny little container of lettuce sprinkled with Parmesan. They even said on their menu “this is a meal in and of itself. ” Yeah right, it was the same size as their side garden salad we got with one of their meals. Our friend who ordered it was left hungry and underwhelmed. We expected a meal sized salad, especially for almost 20 bucks. A total ripoff.

A very mediocre meal overall. We won’t be back.

Best roast lamb ever

My friends and I had lunch here today I had the moussaka dinner meal and my friends had their beef and chicken souvlaki dinners they loved it and their moussaka is amazing the béchamel sauce is breathtaking their service is awesome and they have very cheap prices.

Excellent souvlakis. Have had many of their souvlakis here and they are very tasty indeed. Have them 4 stars as they don’t seem to have any traditional Mediterranean desserts and I look forward to trying other dishes soon.

Great food & the staff were lovely. Surprisingly attentive and were there and ready before we even realized we needed anything.
They could’ve been faster with bringing the bills/clearing our table but it was understandable with the number of guests they had to take care of at the time.
Their calamari was one of the best ones I’ve had.

We had lamb suflaki. Portion was big enough to get full. Wish the tsaziki was more garlicy.

First time trying this place based on all the great reviews. Heavily disappointed. Their roast lamb is bland, the taste reminds me of boiled pork. It comes with a side of mashed potatoes that has the consistency of baby food, also with the skins mixed in which I am not a fan of. Lamb chops are slightly better but way too salty and the meat was tough.

The best part of the meal was probably the rice pilaf and the roasted potato in it. For the price of the meal its just not worth it though.

Trying to support food establishments during the pandemic but unfortunately we wont be returning here as there are many other places for takeout.

We ordered 4 different dishes, and everything was delicious. The waitress was very nice and friendly.

Messed up the order. Food is decent but the tzatziki is terrible. Its more like a ranch dip. No resemblance whatsoever to real tzatziki.

Was a pleasant discovery, the food was homemade delicious, and portions generous. Loved the Happy Hour sized calamari, it was a great starter, light, crispy. Our service was friendly. The meals were tasty, I exchanged homous, my brother had the tzatsiki both fresh. The roasted potatoes were lemony good. I would recommend this place. During Covid isoulation, we try to support local. We will come back again. Both the chicken, and beef were cooked to perfection. Yum yum.

Food was okay. Pita was really dry and seemed old. I was also a bit bummed out to see my order of hummus wasn't in my delivery but I got charged for it.

Food is pretty good but almost every time we've ordered for delivery they've forgotten something. This has happened several times and seems to be a common theme in the reviews. Hopefully they pay more attention to their orders when people dine in. Disappointing only getting part of a meal. Really want to keep supporting local restaurants during covid but this will be the last time ordering from here.

I ordered fettuccine with prawn. It's literally just pasta and butter! It has absolutely no taste. Also, it's swimming with butter! I put in the fridge and look at all the frozen butter! Service was alright however.

The service was somewhat lacking.had to wait quite a while from order to getting the food, and during that time no offers were made to refill either the coffee nor the pop. It had to be requested.

Food itself was OK, servings large. Were I looking for Greek food in the area, I might well try elsewhere.

My family and I have a lot of love towards Greek cuisine, and because we’ve experienced a lot of it in our lives, we have a particular set of standards. This restaurant is easily one of, if not THE best, Greek restaurant in Vancouver. We were given many recommendations, and the food that we ordered was both very fresh and very delicious. Our server, Danica, was very kind and wasn’t intrusive or paranoid about whether you like the food or not, which reflects how humble and confident she is about their restaurant. Very much recommend this place!:)

Huge hearty portions for a great value. I had to pack half my meal to go. The food was a tad over salted/seasoned.

We always order to go from dinakis, service was great over the phone and our food was ready on time.very delicious prime rib dip. I highly recommend this place.

Great food and good service. Love going there for lunch but didn't like that they changed their lunch menu to special seniors menu.

A very nice atmosphere the food is really DELICOUS and reasonably priced.we always enjoy dinning here with friends and family.

We made a reservation on their website, but when we arrived they were closed for a private function and told us they hadn't noticed the reservation. They did offer to seat us, but really didn't sound confident that they would be able to give us a good level of service due to the closure. We ended up going to the Earls nearby. Disappointed I didn't get to try the menu.

I have ordered from Dinakis from Skip (until I got banned for complaining a couple times) and now use DoorDash. We started noticing the size of the chicken Souvlaki shrinking to almost needing a magnifying glass to see them. 2 old chicken skewers = 4 chicken skewers today. Shame on the owners is all I have to say.

First time ordering for delivery! The staff were great on the phone, very pleasant and the order was correct! Food was delivered within the quoted time frame, everything was hot and delicious. Looking forward to ordering again!

Had lamb skewers and it was is absolutely delicious and huicy. Also had dinakis fries never had anything like definitely coming back for more of dinakis. I would recommend this place for any type of event you may have.

We went to this beautiful place today around 5: 15 pm. The happy hour in here is the best. Basically we tried everything and good prices as well. Good customer service

This is such a great restaurant. From the first day it opened to today, it has maintained quality and generous portion sizes. Their staff are always lovely. It is truly a lower mainland favourite.

Wow, the new menu’s are beautiful and has lots of vegetarian options. I had the Greek Bruschetta Ravioli Rose sauce it was delicious. And the best service and very friendly staff I’ll definitely come back
