After years of hesitation, I finally rode the 26km from Sturdies Bay to Dionisio. If you bike, go along Vineyard then Bodega Beach. Mostly bikes there and a few people walked the 3 km from the gate.

Being a rule follower, I did a lot of research but could not find any official statement saying you could ride. (Unofficially among cyclists, you could). Tons of online info that it’s Marine access only.

You can park in front of the gate but probably 6/7 cars only. All paved except the last 1km, which is packed gravel.

Beautiful setting and worth a visit, even for a day picnic.

This is a piece of paradise. Pack in, pack out. You go through private property so please be respectful and slow down when you see horses. (I didn’t see any of these beautiful creatures)

As mentioned by others, campsite by water has nice sunrises but away from beach and water. Only a 10 min walk though. No campfire rings so I assume no campfire allowed (ever?).

I really didn’t want to write this review but feel this gorgeous place needs to be appreciated.

(Also, do NOT use maps. It’s wrong. Use Porlier - Vineyard - Bodega)

Only accessible by parachuting in from 1,000 meters up from an airplane. 11/10, would go again. My dog had fun too.
