Prompt delivery, product as described, had a hard to find AGM, reasonably priced, what's to not like!

My bike completely died as I was turning into the BC Ferries terminal. Figured it was a charging problem and wouldn't be able fix it until I got home to Gibsons. I called Discount Batteries and they delivered a battery to me at the terminal before the toll booths. It was the wrong size battery and when I called them back they quickly returned with the right one. After installing it I was able to get on the ferry and home that evening. Can't say enough about the great service these guys gave me. To thumbs up and will always recommend them to anyone travelling through or near Nanaimo.

Parfait! Nous avions des soucis avec notre seconde batterie dans notre camper van. Ils ont prit de temps de l’enlever, de nous prêter une autre batterie pendant plusieurs jours afin de déterminer quel était le problème. Finalement notre batterie était juste déchargée et nous n’avons rien eu à régler. Ce fut juste parfait!

An excellent experience. I called the day before and they confirmed they had a battery proper for my car. I arrived at 10: 45 am and was out the door with a new battery installed at 11: 05. Now I know I was lucky to get an open bay at the time I arrived. However, the service was fast, friendly and knowledgeable throughout the whole process. Prices competitive, service excellent. Amazing family-run shop! If only every shop provided this level of service! This local small business is my new go-to for every and any battery-related service. My father was adamant that I go here and I can see why! Not only did they have the right battery for my collector car, they did a load test to ensure that my battery was the culprit. I ended up with a brand new battery and a Noco Genius charger and best of all, a warm feeling that my interests were looked after. Shop local and support this small business. You won't regret it!

What a gift. First, all of my questions regarding a battery for my p/u truck were answered in a simple manner. Then they offered to charge my battery and see if it was still useful. I left it with them for four days, called in, and it turns out the battery is in good shape, is holding a charge and it will continue to work for me.
Okay, what do I owe you?
“Nothing. This is a service we provide. ”
What? You mean I can pick up the battery and there is no charge?
“Yes! ”
I will of course buy my next battery here and tell the world about it.
Saved my $180 for a new battery.
Oh, and they don’t charge the core fee like others do.

I bought a motorcycle battery last year from this local business as I’ve bought many from there in the past. The battery I bought last year I put in my motorcycle I only was able to ride the bike twice as I had some health problems. I went to charge the battery a few days ago and wouldn’t charge so I took it down there the owner made a weak attempt at testing it didn’t check if my warranty was even any good and walked away saying it wasn’t going to take a charge this will be the last time me my family and my network of friends will be going there for anything.

Picked up battery that was suitable for RV at reasonable price and they answered all questions i had about battery service and warranty. They also checked actual battery voltage prior to purchasing.

The gentleman that tested my battery and then installed a new one (which the company i got it from did not) for no fee was so wonderful. The service was like it used to be a long time ago when people actually did things to help customers without fleecing them. That kind of service/kindness is rare now a days and that makes a difference.

I don't know if it was an off day, but the saleperson that 'helped' us wasn't in a helping mood. Tried to find a marine battery but was told they didn't carry anything in stock and that we would need to find another solution.no effort and that was disappointing.

Struggling to put my experience into words! This should be a training facility for all business that are interested in learning what customer service really is! Wow, amazing and unreal! Just starts the conversation on how I feel about this little gem and yes I am speaking about a company that sells “batteries”. In my humble opinion, we all could take a lesson from these fine folks. I would never in a million years think that I would be so deeply impacted. We need to support business like this.

My story starts with needing a good old battery, we are from the mainland and decided to camp up at Sproat lake with a trailer we purchased on the island. With no history of the trailer we didn’t know what we where getting ourselves into. Turns out the on-board battery was aged and on its last legs, sure enough we needed to get a new one. Which we did from Costco, return back to the campsite only to discover that it was to big for the plastic storage container, drove into town, arrived at “Discount Battery Warehouse” they sold us the proper battery and off we go!

Only to wake up at 2am by a loud beeping sound, and a dead battery once again. Now frustrated, trying to figure out what the issue was. Did we buy a battery that wasn’t fully charged or had an issue? Was it something wrong with the trailer? Blown fuse.

Out in the back country we had no tools to properly diagnose the issue, called the folks at Discount Battery Warehouse, they gave us a few tips and great suggestions on where to start. Long story short, decided to drive an 1 1/2 hrs to go back, they literally dropped everything, came outside and helped us figure out the issue.

Turns out “I” was the issue leaving the fridge in the wrong setting and drained my new battery. Without even asking the owner says, we will take your new battery out and put in a brand new fully charged one and get ya on your way! “Who does this” it was my fault.

On top of this.they helped me setup a two battery system, making me custom battery leads so I could parallel my Costco battery, took the time to help me install everything right in the parking lot and then test everything to make sure it was working properly.

They didn’t ask a penny for all the extra work and the old battery that I originally changed, they took the time to recondition it back to good health and gave it back to me. On top of all of this! They taught me how to use a hydrometer and how to check to see if things are okay.

Now this does include all the amazing smiles, warmth and amazing attention to detail.

I just can’t say enough, I am glad I don’t live closer because I would be buying barriers just to go and say hi - LOL

Well I drove down there it’s tucked away in back lane next to Baker Automotive went in and was greater by Cora a Sweet intelligence women who knew her business well she gave me a run down in the history of the Business. Well now comes the Great Part we went throw different sceneries which Battery to choose I have been around Battery’s most of my life and things have changed. We just needed a Battery for our Boar a good powerful battery. Well Sweet Cora talked me out of a TROJEN Battery which are very good but she told me I didn’t need to go that Big. She had a 31 series DC WHICH SHE SAID WAS AMPLE. Well Cora you were right we took it out to Comox Lk this weekend and it preformed Flawlessly. Very knowledgeable and quick to deal with. Second time I've dealt with the young fellow there for multiple battery systems. Price on par with others but service wins every time.

Service was great. They waited patiently holding the batteries I needed ad I was coming from out of town. They held my batteries for nearly a month and a half without worrying about anything. I thank them greatly.

I saved $50/battery on Trojan T105s by buying elsewhere, and got $20/core. Discount battery offered $5/core, and they made it sound like it would be a pain to take my cores. I wasn't impressed with the service or the high prices, so I went elsewhere and saved $65/battery.
