Dockside Fish & Chips

The 2pc fish'n'chips is a lightly battered fish full af flavor severed with fresh cut home fries sprinkled with a soft dusting of seasoning salt. Did not leave hungry.

Some proper fried fish, had the salmon and the snapper, both were great. Love that the place is right on the pier so you really get the sea view and vibes as your eating. Would definitely come back.

Fish and chips were crispy and good but pricey. Tables don't seem to get cleaned often. It is self-serve but the food is delivered to your table and the staff are courteous.

One of the coolest spots in Campbell River! Amazing gluten-free options, such as GF/DF doughnuts that we absolutely adore, and their GF fish and chips are very clearly made with high quality, fresh ingredients. The kitchen and serving staff are very friendly and knowledgable, making this a great stop for anyone with a dietary restriction!

It was basically a dive kind of place. The inside looked liked it hadn't been remodeled for years and years. There were pinice tables that were in tough shape. And it sat on a part of the water than collected a bunch of smelly vegetation and garbage. The food was reasonably good and it wasn't expensive. Something one would expect from a dive kind of place. I probably would t eat there again as there are numerous other places in CR to check out. It's even more unlikely I'll be in CR again anyways.

Fantastic fish and chips.

Red snapper and chips has a light, flavoursome batter and slightly seasoned fries. Coleslaw was crunchy and tartar sauce was incredible.

The person who took my order was super friendly and so are the serving staff.

Overall a very good experience.

Out standing service.
We arrived 5min before closing, were served quickly.
1 meal was left off the order, they promptly restarted the fryer and cooked it for us, even though they were closed. Plus we got complimentary donuts!

We went yesterday and it was so good. The Fish and Chips were the best I’ve ever had. The coating on the fish was so light and crispy.

Delicious food & friendly service. We had the salmon (gluten free) and burger with the hand cut fries and a side of onion rings. Great portions and everything was really tasty. Also had a wide assortment of the dougnuts- all delicious especially the gluten & dairy free cake doughnuts. Highly recommend stopping here if you’re coming through town.

It is located in a convenient location in Campbell River and has a nice view of the marina. The service was friendly but the food was very average. This place came highly recommended to us from many people, but I didn't see the appeal other than the location.

It took more than 45 minutes to get our food and we were being pressed to finish only ten minutes later

Stopped by while waiting for the ferry. Service is slow We had grilled snapper as a healthier option. It was ok. Ordered the seafood chowder. Had to return because it was made with bacon and the server didn’t tell us. They told me it would take a couple of mins. I asked to confirm because we had a ferry to catch. It took longer and I asked for a refund. The server tried to assure me we had time. Luckily I ignored her my children ran to the car. I forfeited my refund because she took so long to get my refund. Luckily I was able to get on. Just be aware if you have a tight ferry this crew didn’t seem to care!

The red snapper was good. Disappointed that such a large patio with tables out to the side (away from most guests) was not dog friendly, we had to walk up the sea walk to eventually find a picnic table but by then our food got cold. Next time we will support a place that is more dog family friendly.

Sooooo delicious. Light batter. Made to order. Definitely worth it.

Very good salmon fish and chips with coleslaw. Light batter on the outside. We ordered the family portion, and it was a very good portion for us. Some salmon pieces were bigger some were smaller. There was about 8 to 10 pcs per basket. Service was great, they offered individual baskets for us to share without us asking. The coleslaw was also very good, not your average soggy coleslaw!

Some of the best fish and chips you will have anywhere (and I've had a lot). Perfect fresh cut fries (not too crispy), fantastic fresh thick pieces of fish with a thin crispy batter (unlike some places that give you a sliver of fish and thick coating of batter). Can't be bettered.

Food was good. However they were slight busy at the time and lost my order. Took 45 minutes to finally get my order after asking for it

We had a nice lunch out on the dock at Crabby Bob’s. Two individuals got the fried red snapper and another the garlic shrimp and they said it was very good. I had the calamari and I was not happy with it. I would suggest going there but skip the calamari.

Pretty darn good. Onion rings better than the fries. Worth the upgrade. Fish was real good.

Had some great food here. Ordered the snapper it was fresh and delicious, cooked perfect. The food came up quickly. The staff were friendly and helpful.
