Couldn't be happier with my experience at Dogzen. The staff and owner were extremely professional and friendly. Their outdoor day care was super clean, fun and inviting. I had a great time and am very happy that I found a place where my dog is safe and in great hands. Thanks everyone at Dogzen for taking such good care of my pet! I will recommend you to all of my friends.

I love Dogzen! Everyone there from the walkers to the owner Marg has been an absolute delight. My pup Oscar whines whenever he sees his fav dog hiker. Marg is super quick with replies and is flexible with your schedule. I highly recommend this service over other dog walking companies on the North Shore!

Dog Zen is great! Marg (the owner) is great! I have relied upon Marg and her staff for the last 4 years. I totally trust Marg to care for my dog in her home while I'm on vacation. I like my vacations! And, of course, my dog loves Marg and her staff (especially Kim who has recently been taking him on group hikes in the forest). If you have a well behaved and well socialized dog, I highly recommend Dog Zen. 5 star service and 5 star fun!

DogZen is amazing! Our golden retriever has regular off leash hikes and has also been boarded a number of times. He loves DogZen! And they truly love him and care for him just as I would! We are very appreciative of the amazing services they offer!

I am beyond protective of my pups, and I fully trust Marg and the DogZen crew with my dogs. If I have to leave them, DogZen is my first choice by far!

Working for DogZen has been a blast. Aside from being able to hang out with dogs five days a week I cannot praise Marg enough for being such an amazing mentor (a.k. A boss). She is always there when I have any questions or concerns about my job and has always made time to sit and chat with me about different ways I can effectively look after my furry friends. From day one Marg made it clear that if I have any questions, no matter how small, they are welcome and that if I ever feel uncomfortable I just need to let her know; she has my back.

Dog Zen is professional, and very loving. The owner Marg is Amazing and very kind hearted. I wish I found Dog Zen years ago!

The young walkers at Dog Zen truly are terrific. The owner, however, is both unprofessional and disrespectful. I base a small business on how they treat their employees.and it's not a coincidence that Dog Zen has such an alarmingly high turn over rate with the walkers.

It’s taken me a while to come to terms with writing this review mainly because I held Dog Zen in such incredibly high regard before this incident. That being said, I do not have 1st hand proof of anything, so take my story with a grain of salt.
TLDR / Summary of this post: don’t use Dog Zen if you expect to pay for your dog to be on hikes all day.
I’d also like to preface this by saying Marg really took my dog last minute, for two weeks, at a discounted rate. She clearly loves her business & clients.
I picked my dog up after 2 weeks of supposedly going on hikes every day fatter than when I had left him. Every other time I've left him, he loses weight (presumably because he's doing substantially more exercise). He was a bundle of energy (which NEVER happens every other time I've left him for boarding) so much so that he chased a cat down the street & got attacked as we were opening the door. Usually when he gets picked up from boarding he is so tired he is falling asleep on the way to the car. I got 3 photos of my dog while I was away in a different country: 1 of him in the house asleep, 1 of him in the backyard, & 1 of him on a hike.
Dog Zen has definitely gone downhill in terms of what I've experienced since I started using them. From what I know, Brigid & Jane now work at Happy Hound in North Vancouver - the experiences I had with them is why I would have stayed with Dog Zen.
