Dollar Tree

Is scheduled to close at 9PM but sadly they close the doors at 8: 30 and do not let customers enter. I tried entering through the back door but the lady named "Karen" was very rude and arrogant. My friend had a scratch and needed bandages, She did not let us make the purchase and told us the store was closed already.

I was at the till on Wednesday May 10 at noon asking a question. The CSR tried to answer my question but was interrupted by another CSR who told her that she doesn't have to answer my question because customers are stupid and not worth it. I did not complain there because the 1st person was nice. If they play the cameras they will know who that 2nd person was.

Personally I love dollar tree because things still are only 1.50 at most and they have a lot of options for snacks, crafting supplies, school supplies, cleaning supplies, hygiene products, gift wrap, candles, and kitchen/household items.
If you have your receipt and the item is unopened I think you can even do exchanges if you buy the wrong thing.

So i am walking to the door and its 8: 53. The girl has just locked the door and is closing the gate. Funny thing is on their website right this minute it says closing soon.

One star is too much. Today I bought some cleaning spray, I went to another store and discovered that the whole bottle leaked into my backpac, ruining my expensive headphones. I went back to return the item and was told I was scamming them and that they "don't have time for junkies" he then replaced the cleaner and told me not to come back. There was no reason for him to speak to me this way and I did nothing to get banned in the first place. The owner is an extremely cheap ignorant, rude person. All he cared about was the $2.

Sketchiest Dollar Store in Van. Not a lot of selection compared to lots of others, but convenient location. I have a feeling they are just sitting on the real estate and running at a loss.

The store shelves are always empty.

Was in there the other day, got to the till and as I was putting my items out, noticed a package of Bisquick had a hole it it. (Like a mouse got into it.), Gave it to the lady who then told me that I should look at the package better.

This store looks like dollarama, you can find home supplements and coke soda fruit joice and canes, near to public transit such as sky train and buses but unfortunately for people with disabilities who using wheelchair is not good place, the doors hard to open and close and the cashier lines are super slow, not really recommended

I love the fact that every item in every Dollar Tree is $1.25. I do wish this specific location carried a larger variety of goods like other Dollar Trees that I have been to. Nonetheless, I have saved a ton of money by shopping here and purchased several items at rock bottom prices. Not every item is the greatest quality but for things I need for under $10 this is without a doubt one of my go-to stores. The staff are very friendly and capable as well.

Pretty harrowing experience to get some garbage bags. First had to dodge a colony of homeless people and their dogs to get into the front door. Then, seeing as the garbage bags were all the way in the back of the store, a staff member quickly perked up as god forbid a person of colour can enter a dollar store without pillaging the place. This person started stalking me and staring at me like a hawk. I felt like saying “Chill, I’m not going to steal a $1.25 item from your disgusting, dirty, dingy store. ” After feeling racially profiled and literally suffocated by the stench of chemicals in this store, I decided to leave. Came for garbage bags and found a garbage store.

CLOSED TEN MINUTES EARLY. WASTED MY GAS AND PARKING MONEY. WILL NOT COME HERE AGAIN!
Will use the two on E. Hastings which are much better stocked. This store has become decidedly low rent of the dollar stores.

A jar of pickle slices for sandwiches normally runs $3.50-$4.00 at Safeway. Here they are $1.25 a jar.

While Dollar Tree has many great products, this location is really terrible. It's very, very dirty, products are messily displayed, and the staff are not the friendliest. As others have mentioned, the "manager" will stand by the tills and give customers the side eye, rather than actually helping to alleviate the long lines.

Other locations have more products and are cleaner and more organized. Definitely recommend trekking out a bit further to find a nicer location.

The “manager” walks around the store glaring at people and follows people around CONSTANTLY. He has the creepiest vibe ever, and WILL be there staring you down when you shop there.

Love it! Going there I know that I will be paying $1.25 max for whatever piece I buy.
Other dollar stores are not like that for example if I want to buy gel pens here I will pay $1.25 a pack. I had gone to another dollar store before and bought gel pens for $7.49 for the exact same ones. It's far for me but it's worth it. This is not the only product, this was only an example.
All I can say is that I love this store!

This location has gone down hill, stop following me around and follow the ones stealing right under your noses. Check for expiration dates, stop selling molding bread. Most importantly if you cannot be at least civil towards customers get a different job.
