Dollarama

Walk out half the time, prices are outrageous and you either stand in line for 15 minutes for a human. Or do self checkout. I dont work there. The scanner needs approval from the one cashier working the long line of customers.
Boxes and carts in isles because they stock during store hours. Putting up displays during store hours, in small isles is a safety hazard no matter the location. DOLLAR TREE FTW

Can't afford school supplies! This is the place to go note book $1: 25 other stores 2: 99-3: 56 -up to $15 so there you go dollars store

All self checkout, with no staff to override problems at till. Had to go searching for someone to override. Who then acted as if it was a big inconvenience for her to help

Why buy stuffs at an expensive rate when you can get them for the children cheap like your chocolate, biscuit, stationeries and then cleaning and disinfectants too are reasonable, go in and check

Stop by here every few months to stock up on some household items. Like every dollar store, some things aren’t worth “cheaping” out on as they’ll be poor quality and you’re better off spending the extra money elsewhere, but I find that Dollarama tends to always have a lot of quality and/or name brand items that you can save a lot of money on. Staff at this location have always been polite in my experience, and I also really don’t mind the self-checkout only option at all - usually you’re out the door & on your way much faster this way.

The store was very well stocked. The shelves were so organized too. We couldn’t stop commenting about how well maintained it was:)

I have always preferred Dollarama stores than other dollar stores. They seem to maintain a certain level of quality on the products they choose to carry and still stay competitive. I recently picked up a cellphone stand from them for $4. The foldable stand is well designed, functional, modern, a great value. This store is located in a strip mall with lots parking and bus stops nearby.

Only offering self checkout. They don’t have a single cashier on a til. I find this ridiculous. The staff member didn’t even sanitize the self checkout stations after each customer.

Not a single cashier open. Forcing everyone to self check out. Even when someone isn't comfortable on doing so. Will not be returning.

Very rude employees, and now Dollarama is selling even worst quality items, weird no return policy

Dollarama is a great store, it has a wide variety of items at a reasonable price and it's 100% Canadian.

The store was well stocked. It was the self check outs at are a pain in the back side. If you have a small bit to check out, then its fine. Not if you have a full cart.

Nice store and most staff are nice but they always seem to be really behind compared to other dollaramas in changing over their seasonal merchandise. Other stores usually put stuff out a month before they do.

Prices where all wrong in places n when I got to till different pricec n getting expensive for a dollar store dollertree is a trus dollar srore

Warning DO NOT HANDLE THE WOODEN ART MANNEQUINS! They are covered in a powder that causes a chemical burn when it comes into contact with skin. Dollaramma won't address. Health Canada wants to see more people injured before they will act.

I went in to the store today and was appalled at the lack of control. They used to restrict the number of people in the store but today it was packed to the doors with local high school kids. I am a high risk senior and if it wasn't for the fact that I really needed to be there, I'd have waited and come back at another time. No control whatsoever.

No disinfecting of high traffic surfaces

Normally I am fine with this store - went in here after about a month- when I got to the line for checkout- I was told cashiers will no longer help- please use self checkout. I saw cashiers- and was told only if you have a buggy and it's full. My cart was full and I was carrying stuff - I explained I would like to use the cashier- No- use self checkout. I did (no choice) and then the next customers behind me used the self checkout. There were a few self checkout stations
The station was not disinfected between use by anyone.the other self checkout till also was not disinfected between customers
We are in the midst of a pandemic. We wear masks, social distance and sanitize and try to keep ourselves safe. Dollarama in Langley would rather their customers touch the self checkout area /screen/etc. Isn't it safer to have a CASHIER do the checkout so it's one person- one computer and they are behind a barrier etc. Terrible time to be cost cutting - Atleast disinfect and sanitize the self checkout between customers if you don't want to have cashiers.

Awesome place for garden knomes! N planters however no acrylic paint for crafts to be had but they aren't the only dollar store completely out of paint!

I like this shop a lot but today, I came across a lady who was really rude

I want to share a story. A few days ago, I had gone to starbucks nearby and the staff were so warm and really made me feel that we are all having hard times. We had a really nice chat, everybody smiling and pleased to help and be supportive. It made me really happy and I wanted to visit the shop everyday. Kindness matters.

Absolutely no social distancing at all. More stock in boxes on the floor than on the shelves. The floor staff ignoring you as if you were not even there. The cashiers were rude and charged me for things I didn’t even buy. Will NOT be going back!

I used to suggest this store to many of my friends and family.because Who dosnt appreciate getting many of their household cleaning items.snacks.juices.puppy training pads etc. At reasonable prices?

WHY I DONT ANYMORE: the employees and managers are extremely presumptuous, they'll make comments to customers that are extremely offensive and not to mention entirely based on assumption.a personal example of mine - just get off work, in work clothes, work outside and more often than not I leave a jobsite soaking wet and covered in mud/dirt.the staff could not have made it more obvious that they assumed I was homeless and treated me as though I was some shoplifters because of my appearance.
Followed me around pretending to face (tidy) the product on the shelves, all the way up to the front counter where I was greeted with "just so you know we have cameras now".

Might be the location of the store.right in downtown I'm sure they have experienced significant loss due to shoplifting primarily but I dont believe that excuses them entirely from judgement and professional courtesy.

Take my review as you will, I just cannot let judgemental people off without calling them out in one way or another.

Open late and a bigger store with lots of inventory. Got some cute and quality stocking stuffers for cheap.

It is not well stocked. Very limited in types of spices, kitchen utensils, party bowls and supplies, makeup tools, bathroom items. Staff friendly and willing to help you find items.

Compared to other Dollarama locations, I found the selection quite limited and lacking in quality. It's a decent option if you need basic household items on a budget. One thing I can't stand, which is not unique to this location by any means, is being asked to put away your shopping basket. It makes more sense (in terms of customer service) if they collect the baskets instead of having you do so when your hands/arms are full. But it's a dollar store, not a department store.

One of their employees was very rude about asking my 5 year old to throw out her lollipop. She was an older lady and other shoppers and employees nervously watched as I ask her if she was serious? And she said that she was and that I should have seen the sign posted on the door. I've been in this store many times with my coffee and never had a problem. We threw out the lollipop in her garbage and will never return to this dollar store again.

This langley store is so disorganized lots of safety violations and things are not priced or not priced properly

My first time going into the store since I moved back from Alberta. Took me a little while to figure out the layout of the place. Once I did I was able to find what I was looking for

Very affordable, you can find lots of things for a fraction of the price you would paid in another retail store.

Store is often disorganized and slow checkout. Large selection if items and decent card choices.

I was shopping there yesterday afternoon with my friend.
I only needed to buy AAA batteries at $1.50 each, and I bought 2,5 packs of these AAA batteries.

The staff weren't helpful or friendly at all, So, I won't be spending my money at this particular Dollarama store anymore.

Who trains these staff members at this store?

I don't think anyone does, So it's no wonder why the staff are both unfriendly and not helpful at all, and I blame the owners of this store and the management staff here as well.

Save your money people, shop somewhere else where they treat you as you should be treated as a paying customer.

Finding the same things you would everywhere else but at a fraction of the cost. Usually They are the clearance items or low cost items. One example of savings is the finding dory car toy. $36 at superstore, but only $4 here. Crazy. They also carry the same childrens toothpaste brands other stores carry but at $1.50 per tube. Colgate and crest.

This store is just like any other Dollarama. The prices are okay and they actually have some good stuff, but you just have to look for it. They also have really nice christmas decorations and other seasonal item like that. The only thing that I did not like abiu this store is that it is kind of messy.

Expect to stand in line for a while until someone decides that perhaps they should call for another cashier. Cloverdale is even worse.
