Dominic was such a pleasure to work with from beginning to end. I really valued the chance to get to know him during our pre-wedding photoshoot where we got some great shots. And he helped me to feel prepared and relaxed by doing a complimentary site visit and shot-list building meeting with us. He was very punctual and organized and made the most of the 10 hours that we had on our wedding day. The photos turned out so beautiful and I can't stop looking at them! I highly recommend Dominic and his team.

Dominic & his team recently did photo/video for our 3 day long mixed culture wedding - & they were absolutely fantastic! Very professional, yet easy going, and fun team. I have had numerous wedding guests tell me how impressed they were. Photo + video quality is beautiful. Turn around time on edit's was also shockingly quick! This team must never sleep!

Dominic was away on holidays so I worked with a colleague of his. Ruslana was incredible and I got some unreal headshots.

My missing star is because after paying for an edited photo, I wasn’t able to make any adjustments and was basically told that their computers colours were correct. Knowing the edit took all of 5 minutes and it was 50$, I felt a little taken advantage of considering I couldn’t provide feedback/edit. I was essentially just ignored after asking. I ended up not being able to use that photo and had to edit it myself anyway.

Highly recommend the photos but if you’re picky about your edits I wouldn’t recommend doing that through here.

But absolutely DO get photos done.:)

I got my wedding photos from Dominic and his team and they were so great to work with. From the start til end Dominic and his team were passionate, creative and made sure we had everything taken care of. The delivery was so quick and I was impressed by their next day edit. I highly recommend Dominic and his team for your wedding.

I had a great experience, the photos turned out amazing, and the price was unbeatable. Truly one of the best places to go for headshots.

Bad experience. Sent 3 inquiry emails about price and availability, 6 back and forth email correspondence in total, and was told “not to waste peoples time” for not booking with him. Posting rates/availabilities on the website would be a great alternative if you don’t want to be bothered by potential clients interested in hiring you.

EDIT: Hi Dominic, truth is a complete defense to a claim of defamation. I’m not sure why you sent me a mean email after saying you’ve never spoken to me but I’m willing to send the email correspondence to anyone that wishes to confirm this post’s truth if that helps anyone make an informed decision.

Dom is an amazing photographer and captures the absolute perfect and beautiful moments effortlessly. He’s very friendly and genuinely takes care of his client’s expectations. Lots of good wishes for him. Love from Bangladesh!

Dominic + his team did our engagement shoot at JW Marriott Parq Vancouver—and my fiancé and I couldn't be more over the moon with the results! They were professional, personable + went above and beyond in ensuring that the vision we had for our photos came to life. Booked back in September for an October session. Dominic cancelled last minute and suggested some new dates that didn't work for me. I emailed back some other suggestions but he never replied. Have been following up for a month now trying to get a refund or a new reservation time.

His availability listed on his website is completely wrong, he's been very difficult to deal with.

Despite our instructions we received shots of décor that wasn’t set up yet and the wrong wedding date is on our gallery. 3 months ahead of the wedding my spouse lost his job and we asked to move one package down from Bronze to Copper. Dominic refused this saying that he had turned away business to do our Monday night. He never showed up and there was zero communication about this. On the day our calls went to a full mailbox! The sub photographer had been briefed on our event a long time ago and contradicted Dominic’s late excuse for his absence. We never recommend dealing with Dominic Captures!

Dominic was really great to work with. I ended up deciding a couple of weeks before the wedding to hire a videographer and luckily Dominic was available. His rates are fair, offers drone footage and is all around a great pick. He was great at communicating with me quickly to figure out the game plan. He set up a couple of chats within a few days to get to know us, our wedding vision and to go over through all the details of the day. On the day of, he and his assistant were amazing, they know what they’re doing! They’re organized, easy going and communicated well with our photographer to get all the shots they needed. To wrap it up, he had out teaser video to us within a week and the full video not even a day later! Highly recommend. Thank you Dominic for making our wedding video dreams possible!

We hired Dominic to take actor headshots for my 16-year-old daughter. We were very happy with the results. Dominic was friendly and professional, and the photos were available very soon after the shoot. He was especially talented at capturing different moods and expressions, which is important for acting. I am pleased to recommend Dominic's services.

My wife hired Dominic Captures to do photography ($600) and videography ($600) for our wedding for only 3 hours as we are on a budget. It was an intimate wedding and we wanted to have beautiful pictures to remember the day and the video of the ceremony.

My wife asked him if we are getting all the pictures and video of the wedding and he said yes. He did a good job with the pictures and the videographer did a wonderful job on the video but when we checked the pictures online it was asking for additional payment but was corrected after my wife sent an email.

After 6 weeks, we got a 2 minute highlight video of the wedding and my wife asked why only 2 minutes? And he then after a week made it to 3 minutes. It was a beautiful video and we thank him for that. We then ask for the rest of the video but was told to pay $500 to get it.

We feel deceived, when he was asked if we are getting the video we didn't mean just 3 minutes of our wedding. It was not a pleasant experience hiring this photographer and will not recommend him. He also informed us that he deleted all of our photos and videos for leaving him an honest negative review.

It's sad it came to this. I feel if only Dominic Captures were honest from the beginning this wouldn't have happened. I told him my budget and he said he works with all budgets. I asked him "Am I getting all the pictures and video? " and he said YES. That was the lie, the deceit. His plan all along is to upsell me the rest of my wedding video. I paid him $1200 for a 3 hr intimate wedding.

He kept on messaging me everyday until I booked him. It was him who pursued me. I never once heard "oh you have to pay additional $500 to get all the videos". Until he gave me the 2 minute video of our wedding after 6 weeks. That statement alone could have saved us from this predicament. I wouldn't have booked him and I wouldn't have used him as our photographer/Videographer. The end.but no that didn't happened. He disputed my review that he possibly could on him instead of reaching out to me and resolve it. He also deleted our wedding pictures and video.

I understand, it's business that's why I don't take it lightly to leave a negative review. I emailed him weeks ago and I tried to go halfway. I am willing to pay half of that $500 for the video because it is important and he is keeping that special moment and even though I felt deceived I was still willing to meet half way. I would have had glowing recommendation about him and everyone I know will hear good things about him. I was telling my sister in law to book him before all this happened and they have unlimited budget. All my family and friends would hear good things about him. But he never replied on my very last email before I did my review and I knew we are never going to get our video. Now, you lost more than that. He also had a condescending tone about me having a budget but he knew my budget right from the start.

None of my friends and family will believe you because they know me. I didn't lie to anything I said about my interactions or my review. There was a time I wanted to cancel the video all together but he said down-payment has been made and it cannot be cancelled. I said okay. No ifs and buts. I agreed. My fault was I believed him when he said I will get all the pictures and video when I inquired before booking his services.

I know he is young and he does have talent but he has so much to learn as everyone else. It's not enough to have talent in this business so many competition just as good and some better. He doesn't know how to meet client halfway when there's a disagreement. I felt how big his ego was even from just his emails. I'm not the kind of person to take whatever that's not mine like what he implies on his emails towards me nor want the entire plane as his analogy. Also, I am not someone who would not pay what is due. That's not the kind of person I am.

I'm a simple mom who got married for the second time after being a widow at a young age. No other family here in Canada other than friends who are like family. Edward was the first person I dated after 11 years of raising two children on my own. They were babies and very little when my first husband died. Now, I have a new baby and marrying Edward was a very special time. This too is a learning curve for me as to not believe anyone trying to get my business because they will say anything and that's what Dominic Captures did.

I recently went to see Dominic in Vancouver for a professional headshot. He was very professional and easily walked me through the whole process. I loved the ease of booking an appointment online. Dominic is very personable and it was such a fun experience! I will definitely be coming back for any future photography needs. Highly recommended!

He is rude, unethical and highly unprofessional. Please read all the reviews on Yelp and other places before you decide to hire him.

His website is misleading, the booking dates shown online are different from his availability. There could be 3-4 weeks difference. You might not even need any pictures by the time you reschedule.

Heads up to all the future customers: don't pay for the appointments. You will not get any pictures and will also lose your money because he just won't be there in his house (not a studio).

Dominic was the perfect wedding photographer! He had his work cut out for him, because posing for photos makes us self-conscious. He really listened to what we wanted and came up with a gallery of venue pictures, candid shots of friends & family, the performers, the ceremony, and some bride & groom photos for our parents. In the end it all added up to a visual storyline of the whole event, and we couldn't be happier. Thank you Dominic!

I needed a new headshot because I'd gone through some big changes this last year. The dreaded Covid 20 and I had also lost all my hair. As an actor, it is important to keep my headshots matching my current look, but to be honest, I wasn't looking forward to it. Really wasn't feeling at my best. Did I mention that I am also a senior? Ha ha ha! Just a lot going on and I was worried that a new photographer may not be able to make me look good.:)

Dominic instantly made me feel welcome, and his studio was well laid out with everything he would need to get the job done. I've been to a lot of photoshoots, and am a photographer myself, so I knew right away when I was witnessing someone confident and masterful behind the lens.

It was an enjoyable and quick session, and a couple of hours later I had so many excellent photos to choose from. It was really hard to pick!

A most excellent experience indeed. In fact, I can't wait to get back to Dominic and play again! AFTER the Covid 20 has found a new home! ;)

I was looking for a head shots photographer for my teenager & found Dominic on Facebook. I was looking at his portfolio online & recognized a few friends & family of mine! So, I decide to book with him as well. Super friendly, welcoming, professional & knows the current industry standards for specific shots needed. His in-home studio is spacious, bright & inviting. Since his studio is spacious, his backdrops are larger & his lighting is on point. There is a separate places to change outfits & a full length mirror in the studio. The head shots he took were exactly what we were looking for. My teenager really enjoyed the whole experience. I would recommend him & book with him again when we need more shots! Scheduling was a breeze, he was patient with me as we were planning dates and times. Once we had the venue locked down we connected over zoom and were able to discuss the specifics. Dominic was caring and easy to talk too, the process felt painless.

Fast forward to the day of our event Dominic had it all figured out. He brought a second shooter to cover both his and hers "get ready" locations. At the venue he captured some amazing shots and we didn't even know he was there. During our portrait session he made us feel very comfortable which translated to very natural and organic results that we love.

During shooting he makes suggestions on how to pose as well as how to improve your facial expressions. Super helpful! I'm very inexperienced and following Dominic's prep tips on his website helped a lot. I was very happy with the session I had with Isabella, the stylist, as she achieved a look I never thought I could do and gave me pointers on how to do it on my own. The photos came out even better. Dominic was very patient and concise with how he wanted shots done. Since it wasn't raining, we also got to explore the neighborhood for different shots.

I was looking for business portraits but found market prices to be a little higher than I expected. But Dominic offers his services from a home not a commercial location which I'm assuming helps keeps his prices lower which is great. I'm happy with the photos. I also had light make up but didn't need a hair cut. I didn't find the make up a good value; otherwise all good.

I had a session with Dominic last week, it went very well, Dominic is a professional photographer, he adds his perfect touch on all pictures, but more important and great, the pictures were delivered to me the very next day, and the edited ones 2 days later, so fast, the rate and the quality are unbeatable compared to other photographers in Vancouver, strongly recommended.
