Love the gluten free pizza, honestly is my favourite in town and I’ve really tried all of the ones available

Always love the food so yummy. The problem is they don’t answer their phone and it’s annoying. Like how is the pizza supposed to get ordered. Pls pick up your phone dominos this process hurt my head. Can’t wait for the pizza to get here though i’m so hungry your food is unmatched

Ordered through the app set the delivery time for 630pm. Checked the tracker and at 609pm said quality check was being done. At 710pm called the store as my order still hadn't arrived. Was told it be there in 10-15min driver arrived at 730pm pasta and cheezy bread were ice cold! Obviously was ready at 609pm and sat there for an hour! Ordered out because I am having electrical worked on so no stove or microwave to heat it up! They should have remade the order and apologized for the error. The 2 times before I ordered the food was hot on time and tasted great. This time a big disappointment.

Changing my years old review today, unfortunately. As a longtime customer, I have often told people this is the best Domino's in Nanaimo. Last night, I redeemed a free pizza via the app and I have to say it was quite possibly the worst pizza I have ever received from a pizza chain in this city. Even made it a pickup order so some kid wouldn't have to drive out to my house to give me a freebie. Idk if they purposely give you lower quality product when it's free (FREE BECAUSE OF MY LOYALTY TO THE BRAND MIND YOU) but this pizza was just not up to the par I had always associated with this location. Disappointed. Won't return.

I ordered the 3 items for 8.99 each. I got my order missing 1 topping from each of the 2 pastas. So showed them the receipt and this East Indian girl who worked there was extremely rude. And she wanted to charge me again for a mistake they did.
Oh and btw she was sitting on the dough table when I walked in. Pretty sure that js a health code violation.

I usually try to put the nicest review I can for a place but I’ve had some bad experiences with this branch! The folks taking the order are rude!

There is a way of speaking with a customer and I don’t feel welcomed here
For one order of Garlic breadsticks they told me to wait for 45 mins. I came in a little earlier and the person said in a stern voice! I told you 45 mins! Not cool! To which I said ok I’ll wait no problem!
I asked them for a dip and the person at the counter said they have marinara and I was like okay sure! Later when I wanted to swap with Cheese habanero (same price) the person blatantly said no I can’t!

Thank you but I would like to have a slice of pizza elsewhere and be respected rather than having it from here!

When you pay for “triple cheese” shouldn’t it cover the topping, at least mostly? I can always tell when the owner is working because it comes out looking like this.

Worst service ever. Got whole pizza burnt and with no slices it was literally whole pizza…. Staff was rude and refused to even hear us.

I enjoy ordering from dominos they are always polite and quick with my delivery and I rarely have any issues but if one arises it is fixed quickly unlike other delivery places

Extremely disappointing

Best delivery speed in Nanaimo! Pizzas are good. I order there all the time. Only had a couple issues but they were resolved. If you want fast delivery (who doesn't?), then Domino's at University Village is your go to! Also they deliver really late, like way past other delivery restaurants.

I give this place zero stars. Just ordered pizza from the fifth street location and got 2 bites into a slice and had something snaps back and pulls out of my mouth. After taking a closer look I realized that there was an elastic band cooked in amongst my toppings. Who knows where it came from or how dirty it was. Will never ever eat dominos again.

Every single time they mess up the order and when you say something, they always blame you (that's what you ordered) 3rd time in less then a week, messed up my order.

Domino’s should seriously consider adding “double topping’s” as an option. Lots of customers would pay for it.

Domino's Pizza has the best gluten free crust, even gluten loving people eat it without complaints. I love being able to build my own pizza, especially with the garlic parmesan sauce. Always perfectly made and perfectly cooked, definitely my favorite place.

For two years I have been ordering and eating gluten-free pizza from Dominos with Alfredo sauce on it. Today I tried to order it and they refused to make it saying "it was against their policy to put Alfredo sauce on a gluten-free pizza". They have lost our business and we will no longer be supporting them, despite doing so regularly for the past two years, because of THAT pizza! I even wrote a 5-star review two years ago because I enjoyed that pizza so much. It is posted below for reference.
I don't know if I'm just lucky or what but I've always received excellent service and wonderful pizza from this place. The website is fantastic and lets you know what stage of the process your pizza is at. They have awesome deals making it affordable. And their gluten-free pizza with Alfredo sauce is one of the best I've every tasted!

I'm confused. It was due way before the delivery time.which I'm not complaining about but I asked for thin crust, and it was not a pizza crust but a flaky pie crust instead. Surprisingly, it tasted not bad.but did not have the "domino's classic taste" that I was hoping for. I don't think I will be going back to this domino's location.

We've been ordering from Dominos over the last couple of years and we always enjoy it. Great quality, timely service and consistently delicious pizza. We love the pan crust. Great location and team!

Sad excuse of management at this location. Ordered pizza at 620pm. Pizza shows up two hours later, cold and rock hard. Was told they would send a fresh pizza and it would be here within 45-60 minutes. Never showed up, called them back two hours later only to be lied to over the phone saying they sent it to the wrong address even though the manager repeated the address to me.

These guys dont know how to make pizza just try another store of dominos in town.they are way better

Very nice delivery staff.they work very hard and around the clock as I've had the pleasure of chatting with some whilst paying for my pizza, and although it's not quite the same as I remember in highschool (considering I was hungry teenager at the time), it's comfort food.and in that aspect delivers

I've always had great pizza and chicken bites. Today everything was burnt. Paid 70 bucks for food that I thought would be reasonable. Probably won't order from domino's at 5th street again. Again everything was burnt.

I've had it before and it was good but this time I ordered delivery and I took the driver 40 minutes to deliver it and then when I opened it. It was cold I gave the the driver 20$ and he thought i was tipping but no I wanted my change the he just ran off.

The kids just love it they love their pizza it's always the same and it's always cooked hot and fresh

I am giving one star to start my post but if there is option for negative reviews or stars I would prefer to give them that. Last night I ordered pizza for delivery near about 11: 30 pm but They did not delivered when I called them near about 12: 20 they told me that you did not pick the call but when I told them that I haven’t received any call and I also have screenshot of recent calls then they told me driver written wrong number. We are sorry for this. I am sure that they didn’t made my order and just told me lie. This was worst and cheap thing they done with me. In future, I will never recommend to anyone. This level of service is given by this big company which is so disappointed.

Would give 0 stars if I could. Called 30 mins before closing time, definitely enough time to throw a pizza in the oven and drive it down the street, I dont live far and was starving. Staff ignored my calls. Next time just say you're closed at 11, it was so beyond annoying.

The Staff at the University Village
(Fifth st.) location are top notch. Even when I walk in at mere minutes to closing they are happy to make sure I am walking out the door pizza in hand. These men and women have performed like heros through this pandemic, keeping me and my family fed; often times when there was no other option they were there. My order is always ready when I arrive and exactly as I want it. I have only experienced two occasions where my order was not perfect and both times it was made right without hesitation even though what I received was perfectly edible and still very much as good as anything I would have ordered. The pizza is good at other locations but the people here are second to none. Many thanks

Ordered from the 5th Street location tonight. Order sat 30+ mins AFTER quality check was completed before it even left for delivery. By the time I received it, it was room temp at best and required re-heating just so I could have warm-ish pizza. Shame on you for even sending this cold pie out the door.

We ordered our usual pizza tonight which is pepperoni and spinach and feta cheese one. The spinach and feta one seemed to rushed and wasn't prepared like it usually is. It was bland and dry. I still give them 3 stars for good customer service. I just hope it won't happen again.

What you expect from Dominoes, good pizza. I got the garlic bites though and they were a big flat piece of greasy dough in the container, a bit hard and chewy. Definitely not what they should be like.
The owner responded down below here, but when I emailed they said they couldn't find my order.lame, oh well.

Always good pizza, and the one time I did have an issue it was taken care of right away. Tim the manager always makes a point of greeting me by name and that's a big part of what keeps me coming back.

This store probably has the worst customer service of any store I have ever visited. I tired calling them yesterday and no one picked up the phone and I thought they were closed. Today when I was in front of the store, I called them to place an order and the phone kept ringing for at least 7 minutes. When I went in the store I could hear the phone ringing and when I asked the cashier about it she bluntly told me that she has been asked not to pick up the calls. It has happened a few times before as well. They never pick up the phone after 10.

Ordered a large half and half. Toppings were only on two slices. Called the store and the person who answered the phone said that she had made the pizza and she distinctly remembered making it correctly. No apology offered. Didn't want to wait another hour to have the problem rectified. Donkeys.

I’ve always lived Dominos pizza. Their pizza is always fresh made from fresh dough each time you order. 4-5 kinds of base sauces. The quantity of ingredients on pizza is okay. I usually order a chicken pizza and their are only 10-12 small pieces of chicken on whole pizza.

Cooked all night at my pub. Only place still open but you cut your delivery drivers so I go to bed hungry. Don't be open till 3am if you're not gonna be open till 3am.

Great pizza. Best pizza delivery service I have had in a long time. After having a poor experience with a competitor, i called this Dominos location with a request that fell outside their normal hours of operation. They went of their way to come in early to get the pizzas to me right when needed, offered a significant discount via a promotion i didn't even know existed, delivered right to my door on a somewhat hard to navigate VIU campus, and when i tipped extra they said that the extra wasn't necassary. They bent over backward. I'll be using this as an example of service quality in the classes i teach.

It may not be common knowledge, but all Domino's in Canada are run by 7 different franchise owners. This means quality is very consistent across the country for better and for worse. The pizza is fine, but far from gourmet or even good. Better that most Little Caesar's, much better than Papa Johns, a smidgen below Pizza Hut, and bounds below Panago. Most notable for their coupons and sales. If you're not getting your dish on-sale or with a coupon, don't bother.
