Don Cherry's Sports Grill

Don Cherry's Sports Grill was my 130th restaurant in Vernon on my quest to eat at every restaurant in Vernon.

There was only one other person when I entered. The server kept a close eye when I seemed ready to order thanks to the minimal customers. For about 30 minutes I was the only customer. Eventually a few couples showed up later in the evening.

The server asked if she could put on music for audio instead of sports audio. Thankfully she did as her playlist included many of my favourite songs.

I ate the LA King burger with a root beer.

After tax and 18 percent tip, I paid around $32.50.

My only critique is I wish they gave me a larger container of ketchup when bringing out the food. I was too lazy to ask for me.

Overall, I had a great meal here.

P. S. The last time I was here I was wearing a tiara because of a friend's birthday party.

This was my first time going with a group of us on, Oct. 14/23, most of us were a little disappointed in our meals, considering the cost. I ordered the bacon and corn dip, I'm not sure what I was supposed to do it. The taste was awful and it wasn't a dip at all, more like a pile of corn and bit of cheese on top. I left hungry and very disappointed. Honestly it should be taken off the menu. I hope this will help you better your menu.

Has really changed over the last while.
New menu that I thought was expensive, especially for lunch. Best value was the pizza, which was good, and was in $25 range and sharable. Probably wouldn't be back anytime soon. There are other places similar that are alot better.

The food is amazing, service is outstanding, you have to get here and have a meal. The beer is cold, food is hot and fresh. Would give it 10 stars if I could!

Been there numerous of times and we always receive a warm inviting welcome from Mandy. She is always smiling and quick to serve. One of our favourite places to go to watch sporting events. Great meals and drinks. Highly recommend

I am an evacuee and Mandy was incredibly helpful and compassionate, pizza was great and they had the game on! Would definitely come back!

We recently stayed in the hotel for a family vacay and were a little concerned to visit the restaurant given the somewhat less than favourable reviews. Turns out, those fears were completely baseless. They accommodated a large party last moment, the food and service were spectacular (thank you Mandy/ kitchen), and it was reasonably priced for portion size. Check out the half nachos—they’re not advertised but they should be. They feed 4. The red head with the septum piercing was also an incredible bartender tho I did not catch her name. All the food was delicious. Check it out! Under new ownership/management and they are THRIVING. 5/5 would recommend!

Great food great service the new happy hour menu is good. Very welcoming. Pool tables for adults. Best pub in vernon try it out

Waited 25 min for a server to take our order. Server made excuses that she forgot about us. 2 other customers only servers were gathering around bar chatting

Very short staffed.
Food was not up to par. The kitchen mixed up my steak order. Thankfully, the Waitress fixed the issue.
Seemed very pricey $$$ for value giving.
Though I will say, their burgers are very good!

Used to go here all the time.last time i was there, I got heavily disrespected by the staff.

Service was atrocious. Party of 4 waited around for an hour for food, and didn't even show up so we left. Ordered coffee and server didn't think to bring out cream and sugar, and when asked didn't bring it at all.

I had the bolognese pasta with pork and a coke, $29.00 frocking bucks, on top of that I waited almost 20 minutes for a server. And whoever made the pasta better take cooking lessons. The pasta clumped together and not thoroughly cooked. Yeah, I ate it but I will NEVER eat there again. Absolutely pathetic.

Very expensive for what you get! If you are hungry don't go here! Waitress was excellent, food was marginal at best!

Kinda lame that you can't play pool and eat food with your family because there is a lottery machine near the pool tables.

Came here for lunch today, it took 1 hour for our 2 sandwiches to come out and they were mediocre at best. Service was poor and overall we spent 90 minutes and $40 for a disappointing lunch. We won't be back.

Staff was friendly and helpful. Drinks were good. ATM machine doesn't accept TD bank cards FYI.
