Sofa King good! The salsa verde is fire here. And the Mexican rice is the bomb. I recommend the Barbacoa or Birria. A lot of bang for buck here.

Used to really like this place. Unfortunately, the last time I went it was horrific. Prices all jumped up significantly, the quality of the food suffered, and they not only didn’t accept card that day, but they didn’t have any cash/coins in their register. The only option we were presented with was overpaying for our food…probably will not return unfortunately.

Went in with the family for a Sunday lunch. There was a sign in the door that indicated "cash only". We ordered but were told they didn't have any coins in their float. Not sure how you run a cash only business yet are not able to make proper change.
We sat down to wait for food and thought it would be good to get the kids to use the washroom before eating. We were told there was no washroom available. I may misinformed but is it not a by-law to provide washrooms if you have seated dining?
Staff was apologetic and I recognize that it's not their fault so this is not a knock on them.
Just not crazy about the experience overall.

Now my favorite Mexican restaurant. Staff are very friendly, the menu is pretty big, and the food is tasty. Price has gone up quite a bit recently after the reno, Dunno how much inflation has to do with that, but unfortunately I've had to cut back my visits.

Visited yesterday for a quick bite before a show at the Pacific Coliseum and the food was EXCELLENT. My fiancé had four carnitas tacos and I had the quesebirria tacos. Both were outstanding! Well cooked, super tasty and filling. Couldn't ask for more. The staff were absolutely lovely as well! Great experience, will definitely eat here again.

This is a cozy yet diverse eatery where one can discover both traditional and inventive Latin delicacies, served by genial staff.

The ramen birria:
A creative and seamless fusion of birria, ramen, and beef taco. While it may sounds unconventional at first, the flavors come together in a remarkably delicious way!

I bought the beef empanada, completo (Chilean hotdog) and Chilean chacarero sandwich and the beef was stale like it had just started to go bad
The chacarero sandwich was supposed to come with avocado and it didn’t, the beef was old and not so tasty
The completo bread was hard and it didn’t have the sauerkraut and it only had mayo, no ketchup or mustard offered
The beef empanada was stale, like the meat tasted like it had just started to go bad and the dough was sweet and it didn’t have salt which in the recipe the dough is not supposed to be sweet
I am not buying from here again not because of how they cook only but also how they preserve the food, it seems like they don’t have their food safe certificate or something, I make and sell empanadas myself and I have never tasted an empanada that had started to go bad at all, not even by keeping them one day in the fridge, the empanadas were probably like 10 days old or something to go bad, thankfully I didn’t get sick
I am going to call both restaurants and let them know they are serving old food that is already tasting like it’s going bad

My Husband and I were craving Mexican food, and boy did this place hit the spot! We had the carnitas and birria tacos! LOVE!

Finally got the chance to get this place out. Birria tacos were fire and wifeys empanada was bomb too.

The empanadas are amazing! Dough and filling are spot on. Will be back on my next lunch break:)

Went in with my buddy from work and I had the empanadas and my buddy had Birria Tacos. By far best empanadas I have ever had buddy said the same for his Tacos. Definitely be back.

I’ve lived in California for 20 years and there are a lot of good Mexican restaurants throughout the state. Don Oso’s menu looks authentic but the food is terrible.

The guacamole is runny and has too much lime, the carne asada is tough and hard, the carnitas is definitely pork, but that’s all I can say for it. The chips aren’t good, neither is the salsa, and the tortillas are stale and hard.

Tried the burrito there. Tastes pretty good. Money vs size gets only 4 stars. Service was excellent. Convenient location.

Worst mexican place ever
When we ordered tacos, the tortillas where very cold (just like when you pull them out of the refrigerator) second of all the service was very rude and the staff were very negative

After all being born in Mexico with both mexican parents, This is just a ripoff mexican restaurant

Looks so cheap! (Paper fork and plates plastic cups) and food was fresh but meat was horribly bland with a slight wine flavor? Doesn't seem like they cook alot in house. This is honestly a place like a dollar store ripoff of a "restaurant". Service was good but they were sold out of alot of stuff which is so dumb. The interior looks very messy and full of plastic containers.: C was very dissatisfied with coming here. 2023 prices are not worth dollar store apparence just saying.points for very cold water!

I could eat their food every single day, seriously my favourite food in the world especially the quesabirria tacos! They also have the best service, Krystyna is so amazing as are the rest of them!

We got 4 tacos and the birria. They were dry, flavourless and a waste of money. The food isn’t cooked fresh, it sits in a warming tray. Go somewhere else this place is a joke and overly priced!

Cute little restaurant. The service is great-all the ladies there are so friendly. The food is truly amazing- I have tried everything on the menu except for the dessert as it is often sold out!

Dropped in for lunch with some friends while I was in the area. Ordered their 4 taco meal to share, and I got the beef chimichanga for myself. Great tasting food! Portions match expectations for price. Flavours are well balanced and everything is fresh. It’s a smaller space but it was comfortable for us 5 adults and three children under three.
